A war is brewing in Columbus, Ohio, and Aubri Jarrett is about to ride a bus right into the middle of it.

Aubri has always been on her own, depending on no one, living a life free of obligation, responsibility, and even reality. Since she was seventeen years old, she’s had visions. Visions she can’t explain to herself and visions she can’t tell anyone about. She uses her time-old tricks of drinking, drugs, and denial to separate herself from her ‘gift’ and spends her time running from both her past and her future.

When demons are there to greet her in Columbus and her seatmate on the bus can see them too, Aubri discovers a side to her visions that she never imagined; about where the visions come from and what they might mean. She wants answers, and this strange group called the Fallen may have them, if she’s willing to dive deeper into the visions she’s always hated and a religion she’s always feared to help them in return.

Aubri has a message for the Fallen, but the message of faith one of them has for her may be even more important.

Welcome :]

Third person feels.... impersonal, so lezz just keep it real ;]

My name is Kassandra, one of the few rare gems who spell the name with a K. I like to read, write, and lay in the sun. Since I live in sunny Florida, I'm usually doing all three at once. I dream of returning to my hometown, Columbus, Ohio, but in the meantime I make do with placing most of my stories there. I come from a huge family dominated with girls and have a dopey, mostly-Black-Lab dog named Phineas. I tend to like fictional men better than real ones, and sometimes it's quite the hassle trying to keep up with all my book-relationships ;] Someday, though, I'm sure true love will strike me down, but until then, I'll share all my book boyfriends with you.

They can be found in all my novels, and I hope I speak the truth when I say I have a little something for everyone; mystery, romance, paranormal, real-life, drama and epicness. You can find information about my past, present, and forthcoming books in both my blog and Facebook links. I absolutely love to hear from readers, so be sure to drop me a line so I can thank you personally.

I'll leave you to read now, but welcome to my world; a place where true love exists, everyone gets a happy ending, magic is real, God is love, and it's perfectly acceptable to skip sleep, food, and company in order to finish that last chapter.

Oh, and the men are extremely good looking ;]

Wow, this was intense! It was a really good story but hard to read at times. Kassandra did an excellent job of showing the kinds of issues and addictions someone can struggle with when they’ve had serious childhood trauma. I love this journey of healing and redemption. I wish I could read the final book in the series. I can’t find it anywhere, so I assume it either never got published or is out of print.

I was given an ARC book for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book.

CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS

This story is told from the female lead's point of view. I love books from various points of view, however when Ms. Kush writes the Fallen Chronicles you do not need both points of view to understand how each character feels.

Many people believe that this is a Christian Fiction series, you can perceive it as such, however there are many paranormal elements in it that does NOT go along with a biblical point of view!

This is not a stand alone novel, You need to read Guardian and Protector to get the whole story of the Fallen.

You met Lyla and Rafael in Guardian. You met Izzy and Michael in Protector. During these two previous novels you also met Rachel, Matthias and little Naomi of the Fallen, Eli St. James and Damian of the not so good side.

Every Fallen has an extra light they carry so they can give it to a love, some people refer to this as a sole mate, when the time comes, so that they do not have to roam the earth alone for thousands of years. Rafael gave his to Lyla, Matthias to Rachel, Michael to Izzy, Damian to Naomi (because she was dying). Now Eli St. James still has not found his light and he is still on a mission to find the ever elusive Athalia who has not given her light away.

In Messenger you meet Aubri, who can see visions of future and past events as they have unfolded or may unfold. Aubri thinks she can keep her visions at bay by drinking and drugs. She has a theory that if these visions were a gift from God then He was not a very good God, so she does not believe in Him. Well, she is not willing to believe in him, until she meets Gabriel.

Gabriel has gotten on the same bus as Aubri and arrived in the same destination as her..Columbus, Ohio. A war is brewing between the forces of good and evil and Gabriel is on his way to help stop them. He did not intend to meet Aubri, the biggest klutz, demon seer, and the least likely person to not want or have visions from God.

Aubri is presented with an offer from the Fallen, help us find Athalia and stop St, James in return we will provide money for anything she could ever want, protection from demons and Damian (yes Damian has been to visit like normal). Aubri is also presented with a counter offer from Damian and St. James, to help them in return for protection and money for anything she could ever want.

Does Aubri come to believe these visions are from God? Whose side does she chose? Does St. James get his light? In order to answer these questions and more you need to read this book, and if not please read the previous books or this one will not make sense.

Kassandra takes us on the biggest thrill ride from page 1 to the very last sentence. I could not stop reading this book! Like with all the other books in the Fallen Chronicles, Messenger does not disappoint. All the heart stopping action and sweet gestures by the Fallen once again is not outdone. I can not wait till the 4th installment of the Fallen Chronicles comes out and I personally hope she does not stop with that one. I enjoy these books from her! Thank you again Kassandra for another 5 star book!
