All Rebecca wants when she finally gets to college is to focus on her studies and nothing more. That is, until she meets the drop-dead gorgeous Logan and his equally hot best friend Drew. Now she’s caught between the college’s two star football players and neither will back down. Things are about to get very complicated…and very steamy!
This book was promising at first. The storyline wasn’t too bad. The classic friends fighting over the same girl trope. I loved the idea of Logan and Becca having an immediate connection. But it was all executed so poorly. And I HATED the random “twists” to add filler. Like the threesomes, Riley hookup and finding out Kate was Becca’s first sexual experience?? It was all so unnecessary to the story and kind of ruined the romance of the novel for me.
I am all for a spicy, passionate romance novel but dare I say, this one was … too much? It was constantly detailing every.single.sexual.encounter and trust me, there were plenty. It got boring and I started to think, oh no, here we go again. I really don’t know why the MFC had so many hookups but kept acting like she wasn’t that type of girl. Idk, her internal dialogue really annoyed me. I didn’t find her likable in any way. She constantly complained about being cheated on but had no problem being the one causing Logan to cheat on his girlfriend.
Another thing about her that I found confusing is that like 1/2 through the book, everyone started talking about how beautiful she was but that wasn’t my first impression of her in the first few chapters. Based on the outfits she was always wearing to college parties, I assumed she was a bit nerdy and ordinary. So when the term “beautiful” started getting tossed around, I had already developed this characters appearance in my mind and couldn’t get on board. I guess what I’m trying to say is, the writer did a horrible job of describing the characters… and pretty much everything else for that matter except for the sexual encounters.
To piggy back off my last comment, I also couldn’t feel the connection between Logan and Becca. It wasn’t described well. I thought her connection to Drew was better tbh. Or even Chase. Speaking of Chase, why did he baby her so much, even after getting married to someone else? I certainly wouldn’t like my spouse sleeping in bed with another woman. It didn’t come off as protective, or brotherly to me. Only creepy and obsessive.
I was grateful for the happy ending but there was a whole lot of nothing in 117 chapters (read on Galatea). All those pages and no connection between the main characters. The writing was absolutely awful. Honestly, I think it was AI. Some of the sentences didn’t make any sense. And who talks in proper sentences all the time? Half the time, I couldn’t even figure out who was talking in the dialogue because it never explicitly stated who said it.
Idk - see for yourself I guess. This was hands down my least favorite book I read in at least 5 years.

I absolutely loved this story. I'm 100% Team Drew Milton! His playboy-to-devoted-lover arc with Becca had me hooked. The chemistry, the passion, and the growth of it all hit just right. I even made a playlist inspired by his side of the story, and the artist of this playlist totally fits my vision of Drew if this ever became a movie or mini series!
Cheating 100% sucks and isn't a great experience for anyone! I wish his character didn't do it :( I loved Beccas and Drews chemistry. Him cheating definitely ruined it.
While the constant reminders of Rebecca’s beauty felt a bit much, the overall story was captivating and emotional, had me non-stop page turning! I’ll definitely be reading this again!
My playlist reflects Drew's desire, from the instant he first laid eyes on Rebecca, to the fiery passion they shared when they were together, to the moment doubt crept in and he left her, to the realisation he couldn’t stop thinking about her, to finally having her again, only to lose her, and still loving her even though she’s no longer his.
The idea of this story/book is solid and the plot is what made it worth reading. With a better story editor this could have been a 4/5 star book but unfortunately because of that I couldn’t rank it higher but I liked the overall story.
I hate these types of stories, why do i get sucked into them and have to know how it ends - event though I'm hating it the whole way through. I need to embrace the DNF. I actually thought the book started off well and had an interesting lovers triangle plot going - but it didn't really do anything with it. Then the second half of the book just went off the rails. It introduced a lot of plot points that never went anywhere. Everything of course went perfectly for everyone since everyone was soooooo perfect.
I honestly came here to see if I could figure out whether the book was AI generated or translated. The phrasing throughout is weeeird! And gets weirder as the books go on. The plot is pretty good - but the writing is some of the worst I've seen.
I read this book on Galatea so it took forever to finish. It started out amazing and I loved the characters but I feel like the author kept writing and the last book was trying too hard. While it was nice to see where everyone ended up in life, I feel like the story had finished at the end of book two.
I’m glad I read it, it kept me engaged and coming back for more. I really thought at some point there would be a threesome between Logan, Drew and Rebecca. It gets mentioned several time as the best friends were not shy about sharing in the past but when it came to Becca they couldn’t do it and she didn’t want it.
