This soothing, gorgeously-illustrated book reads like an adult version of a children's bedtime story, and it evokes a deep, timeless nostalgia that is rarely found these days. "Tales of the Glen" fulfills so many reading moods, be it for fantasy, inspiration, anthropomorphism, philosophical thoughts, or simply a calming story. Victoria Beata's YouTube channel, which bears the same name as this first book, contains more tales and beautiful artistry to enjoy. Her work has quickly taken its place among my favorites!

The illustrations are beautiful and give you a glimpse of The Glen, a magical place where all creatures and things in the forest have a voice. It is a place of wonder and beauty, a place where you can just be at peace.

I LOVE the art, and the stories are amazing. It's a very unique approach to storytelling, I find. I purchased the book for myself, but my children are clamoring to read it or for me to read it to them. There is so much peace and quiet. The stories make you slow down and view things like wind and a brook at the back of your house as persons of sorts. The stories bring out a sense of magic.
