Sinful Promise is the sixth and final book of the Kolslov Bratva series. Each book in this series features a different couple and can be listened to as a standalone, but for better understanding of the world, you might want to read previous books first.
This would've been much better read if he didn't mention hooking up with others every second sentence whilst having a hard on for h.
If you are convincing me that he's reformed of his man-whore ways, i don't need to know that he slept with so many women before h.
i don't need to know if he was walking anyone but the h home he'd be fucking them outside in an alleyway because he likes it hard and fast
i don't need to know that if not for h he'd be sleeping with ow (name mentioned) multiple times
i don't need to know that if he was kissing anyone but the h, they'd be naked so fast
You get the point? this man despite wanting h so badly, he keeps talking about his experience with others and that is turn off. Yes, he kept it in his pants and yes, he was completely obsessed and in love with her but these thoughts made him a dick. This coupled with everyone treating the h like a 10 year old made it such a disappointing read.
safety - manwhore H has slept around a lot, h's experience is not mentioned but yk how it goes. H/h met when their siblings got married years ago and has been close friends since which is why i don't understand why he's been celibate only for months. He claims that he started to catch feelings for her when hanging out outside of studying so it's clear that even after meeting h, he was sleeping around and that is a personal ick for me 🤷♀️

Yeah, Danil was too immature in this one. He was hot-headed and acted out against his brothers, making him seem even more immature. Then again, everyone treated him like he couldn’t handle things and like he was a teenager, so I feel like that only encouraged his behavior. And he was 30!!! 🙄 Also didn’t like Emily all the time either; she was ridiculous, refusing to listen to Danil when he made a mistake, and he had a good explanation, so it made her anger and petty behavior towards him even more annoying!
Overall, still loved Danil and how he treated Emily 🥰
“Sinful Promise” is the sixth book in the “Koslov Bratva Series.” It is a captivating Russian mafia romance featuring an unconventional “relationship” between Danil and Emily. Emily is Zara‘s younger sister and Danil is Dimitri’s youngest brother. Ever Zara married his brother Dimitri, they have been forced to hang out at family events. The two have been best friends since their wedding, but unknown to each other, their feelings towards each other have changed. With them being the youngest out of their respective families, and both single, they have naturally gravitated toward each other at weddings and parties.
“My breath catches in my throat as I look at him. He’s easily the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on. The way his black slacks hug his muscular thighs as he walks, along with his tight-fitted black shirt which he has rolled up to the elbows to show off his thick forearms, has my mouth watering. My blood turns to fire in my veins as he looks at me with that slight smirk on his lips.”
“I wonder if she likes being kissed softly, or if she prefers it a little rough. Would she want me to lick slowly along the seam of her lips with the tip of my tongue, or would she prefer if I pushed her up against the wall and forced my tongue into her mouth like I own it?”
Once Dimitri becomes aware that Emily has a stalker, Danil is put on bodyguard duty to follow and protect her at all times. Emily is unaware of this arrangement, but when she finds out, she is angry. With everything now out in the open, ironically, they finally admit their true feelings towards each other, ironically, in secret.
The story is full of passion, intrigue, betrayal, vengeance, power, control, twists and turns around every corner - most of all love ♥️ There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! The book goes through moments of the thoughts or possibilities that it could happen to, to extreme violence to the most beautiful tender moments! I’m very happily hooked! I did not want it to end! From page to page, chapter to chapter, I could not put it down - you will metaphorically be on the edge of your chair! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊
A possible conclusion to the Koslov’s. Sadly, and no spoiling, we have come to the end of the Koslov’s. Daniel, being the youngest even at 31 years young was the conclusion. Not saying his path was an easy one. His emotions for Emily (Zara’s younger sister) was also his downfall but also his saviour. She was his kryptonite for their ongoing enemy Igor. A thorn within their lives. Try as he might to prove himself as part of the Koslov’s Bravta was at times tedious.
Though almost dark in content, there was also a softness. To fully understand the Koslov’s Bravta, best to be read in order and consecutively. I was honoured to have read each book in the series prior release dates for an honest review. Hence the comment of consecutive reading. The storylines each flow smoothly and you don’t at times wonder - hm? What happened again 🤨
Each bought pain & love to their storyline’s l.
Overall - darkness - salvation - family - power
For readers who love tattooed men with warmth
Definitely 18 + readers 🔥 🔥 🔥
* on a personal note : and I’m sorry for the lack of review on Sinful Promise, but as I have read the series to date, I simply didn’t want to favour one book over the other. To fully understand, upon completion you too would’ve not like to divide between the characters. Each has an endearment to their story told.

I have been waiting for the story of Danil for the longest time! This book was good, but there are a few things that threw me off from all of the other books in this series.
Emily is Zara‘s sister, and she meets Danil at a party after Zara Mary’s Danil‘s brother Dimitri. They become best friends and spend all their time together… But little did they know, both of them started feeling more than just friends feelings for each other. One night, Emily gets home and realizes that she has a stalker. Danil is put on security detail for her by Dimitri, without her knowing, and the story takes off.
My issues with the story is that it took forever for this couple to get together!! I hated the lies that Danil had to tell Emily in order to stay hidden as her secret bodyguard. I thought it was annoying that Daniel couldn’t step up to Dimitri and tell him that he was one, in love with Emily, but also not going to lie to her. If they were such best friends, why would he? I also hated that we didn’t get a whole lot of time with them together, because they just get together and then Igor steps in and messes everything up!
The spice is great, but takes forever to kick in. I don’t like how they had all of these public spicy scenes, I really thought that this would be spicier at home, in secret. All of the other books just hit different that this one.
Hands down my favorite book in the entire series, and the bonus scene was absolute perfection!
Emily has always harbored feelings for Danil, her sister’s brother-in-law and the youngest Koslov brother. Though they’ve shared a close friendship for years, Emily secretly wants more than just friendship. When she finds herself in danger, Danil rushes to her rescue—but she quickly discovers he’s been assigned to protect her. This revelation leaves her feeling betrayed, questioning whether his feelings for her are genuine or just part of his duty.
Danil, on the other hand, has had a crush on Emily for as long as he can remember. While he is eager to prove himself to his older brothers, he also wants to show Emily that she means more to him than just a responsibility. Their journey is full of tension, playful banter, and electric chemistry, as he works to earn her trust and prove his love.
Watching Emily slowly lower her walls while Danil carefully navigates between respect, desire, and protection makes their romance utterly satisfying. With high stakes, emotional depth, and a swoony payoff, this book is a beautifully written tale of love, trust, and the power of taking chances on the person who’s been in your heart all along.
P.S. I read this book back in February but I didn't have Goodreads back then
Danil is the swooniest of the Koslov men! He doesn’t fight the attraction he doesn’t pretend it’s not there. He is a smitten kitten for Em and she doesn’t even see it! I will say the bodyguard trope definition takes liberties. Honestly I would classify it more as a friends to lovers trope with a splash of bodyguard trope peppered in before Emily realized that Danil is in love with her. My only “issue” is the book wraps up the main point of contention from the entire series too quickly, in my opinion. They fight this unseen villain the entire series and then bam it’s over within a few chapters. It felt so rushed and anticlimactic, but I felt that way with the last book too. It’s just felt like all this build up and then it was just over and resolved within a few pages. There could have been several more chapters that didn’t focus on specifically Danil/Emily and centered around the resolution of the capturing of the villain but maybe it’s just me. Other than that I loved this whole series. It was funny, sweet, but still managed to cover some serious topics with a few bad ass FMCs.

Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Danil and Emily Genre- Mafia Romance Length- novel Heat- they’re fond of public… displays of affection. Series? Y Safety? Y Triggers- Violence, language in two languages, threats of SA, explicit erotic content, character doing the Robot. And that one is the scariest. Tropes- He Ain’t Heavy- He’s My Bratva, Bodyguard, Friends to Lovers, Off Limits, Virgin Heroine, Love in an Elevator, Surprise Pregnancy.
I wasn’t crazy about how many of the characters infantilized Emily. Also, how can a person be careful without all of the pertinent information? There was a slight pacing issue near the beginning. But the book had great characters. And Danil and Emily’s chemistry was palpable and their penchant for public sex was creative. I enjoyed the family bond between the Koslovs and between the sisters. In addition, around the 70% mark, the suspense portion of the plot really took off and it was very good. I found this book entertaining overall, and am happy to award it four stars.

Sinful Promise is the sixth book in the Koslov Bratva series. It’s an entertaining book with beautifully written characters, both were the youngest in their families, Danil and Emily. They first met at the wedding of Danil’s brother Dimetri and Emily’s sister Kara, they became close friends, inevitably their feelings for each other grew deeper, but neither wanted to act for fear of spoiling the friendship. Emily has a frightening encounter with a stalker, Danil secretly keeps watch over Emily because she has refused to have a bodyguard then further investigations find that Igor Ivanov is behind it! The storyline is filled with danger, suspense, action, drama, revenge and spicy scenes. An absolute page turner, I found myself holding my breath in more than one part of the book as the action paid out

This is the proper ending to the series. Daniel and Emily have secretly been crushing on each other since her sister married his brother in book two. They are good friends & when Emily gets into a bind and on the radar of his family's enemy, he secretly guards her. When she finds out, she throws a fit and he throws one right back. With everything out in the open, they secretly move to the next phase & manage to keep it a secret until the enemy catches up to them.
This arc moved at a brisk pace and didn't really have any lulls. Luckily Dimitri remembers the code word - The bonus scene was perfect. Even though they all pick on Danil because he's the youngest, they all come together as family. The ending scene with Alexei and the baby says it all. Danil and Emily met at their older sibling's wedding. They got along immediately they did the whole best friends thing while they both secretly were falling in love with one another. Emily starts getting a stalker and Danil is told by his older brother to watch her as it is dangerous for her. Danil has to keep her safe. As he follows her it gets harder and harder to keep in the friend zone and Emily gets so frustrated as she doesn't know if Danil is just doing what his brothers say. The chemistry between these two is spicy and a joy to read. The twists and turns with a stalker thrown in keeps you on the edge of your seat. After reading this I so have to catch up to the other brother's books I enjoyed the array of different characters and family members throughout the book. Who can't help but fall in love with this family and this couple.
Sinful Promise is the sixth book in the Koslov Bratva series. This is a dark best friend/bodyguard Mafia romance. Emily and Danil became best friends after they bonded when her sister married his brother. They got closer when they went to college and studied together. They both have feelings for each other but are afraid the other doesn't and they don't want to take the chance of ruining their friendship. Tension skyrockets as it comes to light that Emily and Danil have both been keeping secrets from each other. Will they be able to overcome the feelings of betrayal and understand why they kept the secrets from each other? Will they admit and act on their feelings? This is a great addition to the series. Can't wait to see what comes next!!.

I was looking forward to seeing these two finally get together - you could see in the other books the sparks between them, and I was looking forward to seeing how their story would play out. Yet I felt that although it was a good read, it could have been so much more. The whole do they or don’t they ran a bit flat for me. They are great together yet we didn’t see much of the development of their relationship. I know the FMC is 20 but her lack of common sense at times regarding her safety ended up being annoying.
The ending once they finally had their enemy, was quick and to be honest felt rushed… for so many years they wanted this man to pay for his sins, and then after he was captured, he remained knocked out leaving a lack of confrontation. Maybe the author felt there was no need for words but it just presented as boring.
Sinful Promise is the sixth book in the Koslov Bratva series. It is a very entertaining book with characters that we have grown to love throughout the series. The storyline is wrought with danger, drama, angst, steamy romance, suspense, and action. Things come full circle for the Koslov brothers and their vendetta against Igor Ivanov, and it is quite the adventure as Igor's villany reaches new heights. As that drama unfolds, the youngest Koslov, Danil, is fighting a battle of the heart, though he and Emily were a bit irritating as they were both acting like children until things got intense.
The book is a page-turner that I read in one sitting. You gotta love the Koslov's and their brand of family loyalty.

Danil Koslov and Emily have grown to love each other over the years. He's been infatuated with his sister-in-law Zara's little sister Emily since she joined the family. He's her best friend, he loves her, but neither of them wants to cross that line and ruin their friendship. Their vendetta against Igor Ivanov is getting closer to ending, the man who has caused so much death and danger. His reign of terror is about to end. He's targeted the family hopefully for the last time bringing death and danger to the Koslov brothers, and their families. Can they finally put an end to this vendetta and destroy Igor Ivanov before they lose someone else? I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The series concludes with Sinful Promise, a novel that sheds light on Emily and Danil's narrative within the Koslov Bratva. While they make appearances in other books, this installment offers a comprehensive exploration of their story. I find it captivating to witness the evolution of their relationship from a platonic friendship to a deep, soulful connection, reinforcing the idea that they were destined to be together. As anticipated, the story incorporates dramatic and suspenseful elements, jeopardizing the main characters' safety. In the end, the Koslov family reunites, ensuring a heartwarming happily-ever-after ending. I highly recommend this series, giving it a 10/10 rating. 📖.

Oh wow hat an ending to the series! I loved every book in this series and was eagerly awaiting Danil and Emily’s story and I was not disappointed! I’m sad that the series has come to an end now!
I love the chemistry and dynamics between danil, the youngest koslov brother, and Emily, whose older sister Zara is married to Dmitri who we met in book 2 sinful lies.
This book, as well as the rest of the series, has the right amount of drama, action, humour and spice. It can be read as a stand alone BUT there is an overarching storyline that spans the full series so to fully appreciate the full book I fully recommend reading them all in order.

Sinful Promise by Kira Cole is by far one of my favorite reads this year. Danil and Emily became best friends when Emily's sister Zara married his older brother Dimitri. Danil is obsessed with Emily but he believes she would never see him as anything more than a friend. If Danil only knew of Emily's massive crush on him. But the moment Danil learns Emily is being stalked and targeted he secretly becomes her bodyguard. Danil is determined to destroy anyone that threatens the only woman he has ever love but can he convince Emily to forgive him when she realizes he has been secretly getting closer to keep her safe? Once I began reading I was instantly hooked!.

This was awesome. Suspenseful, a sense of danger and loads of drama.
When Emily has a stalker, her friend club manager Daniil is asked to watch over her but he wants more.
The connection between Emily and Daniil is sweet and protective. Both are trying to protect the other but poor Daniil is just trying to get to the bottom of who is after her.
So well done I adored Daniil. His protective nature but also being underestimated all the time is draining for him.
Beautifully written, Kira does a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life and a plot that keeps me involved. So good!!.

Danil and emily were so perfect for each other 🥹 He is exactly how i portrayed him in the rest of the series. I love how the author didn’t change his traits entirely for the sake of it because he’s the main character 🥰
Though when it comes to the plot I supposed Emily’s reaction to Danil’s hiding the truth was little too much and unnecessary.
I didn’t see him being so angry when she hid something as imp from him😒 (i know i am being blame- just read the book series)
This found family is second best to the Falcone clan ☺️
And at the end I was so glad that this one didnt end up getting the FMC being pregnant … but it fucking did !!! 😩 whatever i am just used to it
Gotta say, I don't think I've read about a mafia MMC who is so cute and friendly with the FMC. Danil was giving off golden retriever, bff vibes and I am here for it! I thought we'd get a little more slow burn and angst but the story moved on pretty quickly and I didn't mind missing a little angst. Their banter was so cute, and the spice was definitely spicing. Loved the touch her and die moments.
I felt for Danil and how is brothers treated him like he was a teenager who needed to be scolded every now and then. I didn't like that only one of his brothers had encouraging words for him. I felt like Danil needed a come to Jesus moment with all of them.
Idk what to tell you but honestly? Not the best series. Everyone was stupid. I crave a smart FMC but none of them were smart here.
You have a threat to your life and you’re having a midnight walk in the park???? How stupid can you be? And Danil is no better. He really was immature. None of their moves were smart. LITERALLY
And Zara. The pregnancy moment was supposed to be intimate but there was Zara. It was more about her and her dialogue than Danil as if Danil wasn’t there at all.
And who would’ve thought it was actually so easy to defeat Igor. 6 books and that’s how they defeated him????
