Hello and welcome to my website!

I am Misty Vixen (not my real name obviously), and I imagine that if you’re reading this, you want to know a bit more about me.

In the beginning (late 2014), I was an erotica author. I wrote about sex, specifically about human men banging hot inhuman women. Monster girls, alien ladies, paranormal babes. It was a lot of fun, but as the years went on, I realized that I was actually striving to be a harem author. This didn’t truly occur to me until late 2019-early 2020. Once the realization fully hit, I began doing research on what it meant to be a harem author. I’m kind of a slow learner, so it’s taken me a bit to figure it all out.

That being said, I’m now a harem author!

Just about everything I write nowadays is harem fiction: one man in loving, romantic, highly sexual relationships with several women. Nowadays, I tend to write more human on human stuff, but I still have a lot of non-human ladies in mind for the future, so if that’s your thing then stick around.

I’d say beyond writing harems, I tend to have themes that I always explore in my fiction, and they encompass things like trust, communication, respect, honesty, dealing with emotional problems in a mature way…basically I like writing about functional and healthy relationships. Not every relationship is perfect, but I don’t really do drama unless the story actually calls for it. In total honesty, I hate drama. I hate people lying to each other and I hate needless rom-com BS plots that could have been solved by two characters having a two minute conversation.

Tough spot

So this one kinda of put me in a tough position. I have absolutely loved the series so far, and for the most part I really enjoyed this one too. The characters feel real and engaging, I also love how the author doesn’t shy away from getting into the actual emotional feelings of them.

That being said, I was kinda put off by the overwhelming societal griping. We all know life sucks these days and what it represents. We’re all dealing with it on a daily basis, but this book just REALLY went hard on PREACHING about how awful life/society is and how we’re all being taken advantage of or abused. Everyone these days has depression, anxiety, or something because of life. Personally I enjoy reading as an escape from all that, a way to distance myself and enjoy something else for awhile. After reading this book I generally felt more depressed because it just kept beating that dead horse over and over. I actually came close to not finishing because of it.

I still love the series, but I hope the author tones it down some in the next one.

This was another fun, if drama filled, book in this series.

It's pretty rare you get a modern day setting with a MC that doesn't have some sort of super powers or other weird stuff. The MC is basically just a good guy, that listens, and has emotional intelligence. Combine that with quiet confidence, and things just roll.

Nobody new was added to the harem, though at the very end a new woman is introduced that will likely join in the next book.

The book delves into some mental health areas. None of it is bad, but it is somewhat intense at times with how the various people feel about their struggles. It's good stuff, but not for everyone.

Hmmmmm

I really enjoy most of your writing!! It just feels like you spend on awful lot of time on their mental and societal issues.
You also allude to the anal sex with Ellen, back in book one, but only just get to it in book 5 and it seemed like there could have been more descriptive writing about the experience.
It’s also a bit disappointing that omit so many sexual encounters between the characters, as there can be new things to try and experiment with during each encounter.
I also hope Sadie agrees to join the harem!! There’s just sooo much there, between all of them!
Though I am anxiously awaiting your next book!!

critic

I usually don’t write reviews because I’m not a writer, though I’m married to one so I tend to proofread for her. As such I go a little crazy when I catch a lot of errors from such a great story teller. Especially when reading about a guy that has all these ladies editing his work. Since I’m not doing it as a job I don’t bother highlighting or taking notes on location. Most of it is missing words, usually connectives like to, or be, things like that and using the wrong tense of a word. But the storyline itself is fantastic! As are the characters. Well done. Find some proofreaders.

Worth the wait

This book is more of the same. It's not a bad thing. We still have amazing characters and some of the best personal reflections in conversation I've ever seen. I do wish we had a little conflict, not within the group, but maybe some completely outside source. I was low-key, hoping we got another jealous ex or something. This is still one of my favorite slice of life harem romances, and I look forward to the next one.

I've had somewhat mixed experienced with this author's work, but something about this series just really, really hit the spot for me.

If you like happy stories about good things happening to good people, and you're at least okay with the story being a smutty tale of some guy creating a harem, well...you really should read this series. And if you've been reading the series and enjoying it, you'll love this book.

Not sure there's much more to say than that.

Love This Series!

This is an awesome series with excellent character development. Watching Gabe and the women in his life experience life and talking though issues in a way that is reasonable, and caring. No drama or jealousy just trying to meet halfway and understand and accept each other. Looking forward to the next book!

Misty does it again!

Like always, Misty manages to craft wonderfully complex characters with so much life in their interactions. Gabe is a wonderful protagonist and it’s a breath of fresh air to have an emotionally intelligent protagonist in a genre that typically features characters who never discuss their feelings or develop genuine-feeling connections with their harem(s).

More fun and entertainment

Gabe is a lucky dude, but man does he have his hands full. Living his dream and sharing all his ladies dreams is a worthy goal. I can't wait for the next one.
