In the beginning of this issue we meet Taurus Harper Corporal in the National Guard. He is a husband, father, and college graduate. The National Guard targeting a small group of radical “Bloods” (Vampires) and sent Taurus's platoon in to round them up. It wasn't supposed to be a violent mission, but things didn't pan out quite like they expected. His whole platoon is taken down by the bloods. He is the last one standing. At the last moment he is rescued and honored. However he doesn't feel like he deserves a special honor. Good men died and he couldn't save even one. This issue takes you into the life of a special group of soldiers who are called V-8. Taurus becomes part of their ranks. This issue goes further into their perception of the war.
Once again, a great issue. An easy five out of five stars. The art is impeccable, and the story drives forward full force. We begin finding out more details on exactly what the bloods are and why they are like they are. It's an intriguing story.

Great volume, story is so well told and the ending really caught me unaware, now I can't wait for the next episode. If you love vampire stories you must check this one, get all the chapters, you will be glad you did!

The conspiracy gets deeper as we find out that both sides have undercover agents. The art is coming out very Steve Dillion from the Ennis run on Punisher or Preacher.
