I adore the lore dumps and how they're given but was not a fan of the narrative of this. If some of these characters come back in the main story that could change but right now it feels like several characters talking at each other making the subtext of the main series text. Which I really don't like it makes me feel talked down to as a reader. Depending on what the main series does with this my opinion on this could improve but rn it coulda just been some lore pages in a single issue.
It's an amazing lore book and it is the culmination of Cecilia's machinations to take the House of Slaughter. I love how nothing is superfluous in this universe.
Great hardcover deluxe edition containing: book of slaughter, book of butcher and book of cutter. It is a beautiful book with a textured cover and back and great oversized art. This is a text heavy graphic novel and is great for fans of the SIKTC world and learning more about its lore and world. Much more world building than story, but still well done and entertaining. Not a mandatory read to understand the rest of the SIKTC comics, but expands upon it nicely.
