When Faye Grantham inherits Perdition House, her family's secret shame, she expects to sell the property for millions and marry her long time fiancé. But the spirits who still reside in the mansion have other ideas. Trapped in the bordello, the women who lived and worked there wait to tell their stories to Faye. The "girls" don't just hang around waiting, though. They control Faye's libido, influence her decisions and drive her into the arms of two very different men. Liam Watson wears comfort like most men wear cologne, but with an interest in adventurous sex, he's a lot more man than he first seems. Mark McLeod is a strong, decisive businessman who was not meant to be more than a hot one-night stand. But Mark is in no hurry to end their liaison, and hopes to continue her lessons in sensuality. As Faye becomes enthralled with her family mansion, she's soon embroiled in a life-changing situation that has her re-examining her engagement, her business decisions, and her beliefs about herself. As the spirits reveal themselves one by one, Faye learns their stories: how they came to Perdition House, why they joined the women there and some of the secrets that only a high-class bordello could hold. But can decades-old secrets affect Faye's life today? Ghost stories are not always frightening. Sometimes they're cheeky, naughty and often erotic... Welcome to Perdition House: a house of sin, secrets and seduction.

Perdition House Part 1: An Erotic Saga by Bonnie Edwards is a Paranormal Erotica book that does end with a cliffhanger but its one you can live with until you get to the next book. This has a lot of sexual interaction too. If you like Ghost/Paranormal, Erotica, a heroine that is torn between two men and is engaged to another..then this is your book. It was somewhat different type of book for me... it is nice to read something different once in a while.
Faye Grantham is 30 years old and has just inherited a large secret family home called Perdition House. Faye is also engaged to be married to a man she cares about but he doesn't satisfy her nor has any man really. Faye is oversexed her boyfriend thinks and needs help. Faye plans to take two weeks to look over the house and decide if she wants to keep the house or what to do with the house. Faye thinks too that she can work on her sexual problem instead of going to a sex therapist like her fiancé Colin suggested. Faye meets Mark McLeod and they are both attracted to each other and move forward with there one night of passion. Afterwards Faye up and leaves before Mark wakes up.
Faye starts to inspect her new house and meets Belle who started the Perdition House and who is also a ghost/spirits. Belle tells Faye why/how things got started and informs her that she will be meeting other ladies ghost/spirits that are trapped there at the bordello. Faye will be learning their stories of how they started working there and what happened there for them. Along with learning their stories Faye meets another guy named Liam Watson who is into adventurous sex. Faye find such satisfaction in him as she did Mark.
Mark isn't going away as she thought her one night stand with him was going to go. Mark wants to continue their hot sexual relationship. Now Faye is torn between Liam, Mark and the negative fiancé Colin.
So between coming to terms with her sexual drive, three men to decide between and what to do with the house..... not to mention having to listen to the stories of the ladies of the past that work at the house. Faye has a lot going on in her life along with some big decisions to make.
My, oh my! Perdition House was sure hot! Fans were required when reading this book! It had a mixture of erotica and ghosts that were written very well together. The plot and details in this book were fascinating. I found myself liking this book tremendously.
I was taken immediately by surprise when I started reading this book. The story opened up with the main character Faye seeking a stranger to have sex with. Being thrust into sexual tension right away gave me an inclination on how the rest of the book was going to be: sexy. I was captivated on how well the author was able to capture all of the thoughts and feelings of the characters. The sex scenes were tastefully described that for once I did not find myself skipping on any of the love scenes. In fact, Faye's encounters with Mark, and later on with Liam, had me steaming.
I loved the characters of Mark and Liam that I had a tough time deciding who I liked the most. Both of these men knew how to please Faye completely. These two were very sexy that it got to the point that I wanted to yell at Faye to leave her fiancé and simply keep the two men. Though I have a feeling who might be the favored man, I want to know more on how Faye would decide between Mark and Liam in the sequel.
What also made this book fascinating was the supernatural elements. I love reading about ghosts stories so I found the idea of ghosts in this novel quite alluring. Bonnie Edwards did an excellent job in introducing the idea of Perdition House being haunted. I loved when Faye arrived at the place, everything was pristine clean. However, the next day it was filthy dirty. I also enjoyed how footsteps and voices were being heard when there shouldn't be any. It had its spooky elements but it was not scary. The reader instantly comes to learn who the ghosts were and how these ghosts become central characters. Honestly, a story about a haunted bordello with dead hookers was quite fun!
I really enjoyed reading about each of the ghosts' stories: Belle, Felicity, Hope, Lizzie, and Annie. Their stories gave an insight to the reality of why many women turned to prostitution. Some like Felicity and Belle did it to find independence and/or because they enjoyed sex. While others like Hope, Lizzie, and Annie were trying to run away from destructive men in their lives. Some of these stories were sad while others were simply amusing. Only snippets of each of these girls' stories were told, which made me want more.
Overall, I did not expect to like this book very much the way I did. I was very fascinated with the supernatural side of this book and enjoyed the delicious sex scenes. I appreciated that this book was written in a tasteful manner that I did not feel uncomfortable at all nor bored. I am looking forward to the next book.
This author takes your mind and totally blows it away with this novel, in a good way. When I first read the blurb for this novel I knew it was going to be hot and inticing but trust me that does it no justice at all. She takes you from a spin immediately starting at the beginning when the main character seeks out a stranger for a one night of your life type deal. And trust me these scenes were so in detail you know she had one of those nights. To me it immediately set the rest of the book up so the readers understood that you know this is a pure hot melt you away type of book and I loved every minute of it. The scenes she created where very in-depth and each had a meaning to the characters and of course to help Faye. It was so well written that you could almost place yourself in these places and let your imagination run wild. Of course, we can’t forget the lovely unique characters the author brought. The main characters such as Faye, Mark, etc., the author I think has more to be told because the story has not finished. However, each of the dead brothel ladies stories that they told spoke of a matter at heart and the reason they followed Belle. The author was able to mix in a paranormal world with a high erotica novel and make a masterpiece, because even though I have read paranormal erotic novels they have never involved a story line such as this. I do have to warn you get ready for some twists in this novel because it does pop up at you! I am looking forward to the second part of this saga and yes it is already out so don’t let this keep you away because you would be missing out on a great read here. I highly recommend this novel to anyone that loves paranormal erotica, especially if they are looking for a new and unique fresh style.
Perdition House is a book that was completely out of my norm. I have read erotica and I have read paranormal, but NEVER have I read paranormal erotica. But you know what? It totally works! The sex in this book is mind-blowing, hot and steamy. And with five horny spirits that like to tweak certain situations, you have a book that not only will have you fanning yourself, you will also get a laugh every now and then. I absolutely loved the ghosts of Perdition House. Each one has her own unique story to tell about how they ended up working for Belle at her brothel, and each story is heart-breaking to say the least.
Ms. Edwards has crafted a tale so tantalizing and so intriguing, I could not put this book down until the very end. I was disappointed in the fact that this book is only Part 1 of a saga because I really became involved in the story, and then it just ended - quite abruptly. I will definitely be one-clicking Part 2 as soon as possible, because this story was amazing and I need to know MORE! If you are a fan of erotica, then this is a must read!
*I received a copy of this book from the author via My Family's Heart Book Reviews and Tours in exchange for an honest review.
This is an awesome book, one of the best I've read this year. It's a haunted house story unlike any I've every read before. Faye Grantham is a thirty year old woman who inherits Perdition House from her great Aunt Mae. Perdition House is an old bordello that was once run by Faye's great great Aunt Belle. Faye is engaged to Collin but she is starting to have doubts. Their sex life basically sucks and Collin blames Faye calling her frigid. Faye decides to go to Perdition House for two weeks to decide if she's keeping it or selling the old bordello. On the way she stops at a hotel bar and picks up Mark, a hot business man for a night of wild anonymous sex. She wants to see if she really is frigid or if it's Collin who has the problem. When she finally gets to Perdition House she eventually realizes it's haunted by her Aunt Bella and four other "ladies" who worked there. The sex in this book is HOT and STEAMY but tastefully written and all the characters came to life for me. I was able to see the story like I was watching a movie and that makes for a great read.I only have one complaint about the book it wasn't long enough!! I will definitely be on the lookout for book 2. This is a must read for all the erotica fans out there but it is for the +18 crowd.
This book is OMG hot! When Faye inherits Perdition House from an aunt she thinks of selling it for millions and marrying her long time fiance. The fiance sounds like a loser, he thinks she needs sex therapy for her over active libido. He apparently can't satisfy her sexually. She can't understand why all she thinks and fantasizes about all day in SEX, HOT SEX, AND MORE SEX! She decides to go visit Perdition House for 2 weeks and decide if she wants to sale it and get the sex fantasies out of her system before she gets married. She doesn't know the Madam and her girls spirits are controlling her actions and moods. She decides to pick up a guy in a hotel bar to get it out of her system. After a night of hot sex with Mark she leaves and meets Liam, her dead aunts lawyer. She is now balancing her fiance, Mark and Liam and having a lot sex! Who will she choose? Will the ghosts win and get her to keep the house? This book is very erotic and sizzling hot! http://harpsromancebookreview.com
I was given this book to read and review by the author and Paranormal Romance & Authors that Rock.
Perdition House is steamy hot! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The plot and attention to detail was wonderful. There is a great mixture of sex and story. I definitely give this book a 5 fang rating.
In the beginning, you meet Faye who is looking to learn about her own sexual identity. Mark happens to be the lucky man for the night. The chemistry and sexual tension was almost palpable. As Faye moves into Perdition House, she later. Liam.
Along with steamy sex scenes, you have Faye learning and falling in love with Perdition House and its "occupants". The author leads you into the house being haunted in such a way that it just feels right. The characters are all so well written. You will absolutely love each of them. They all have their own story of great love and devastating loss and how Perdition House came to be.
I will definitely be picking up book 2. I can't wait to see who Faye chooses and what is to become of her and Perdition House. This is a MUST read.
Wow! There isnt a word really to describe this story line. I absolutely loved every minute of it. This so unlike anything I have read before. The author manages to take a unknown , barely tried story line and was able to run with it. This was one book I couldn't put it down. I was gooked right from the first chapter. You realise right from the start that things arent what they seem to be. The characters are fantastic ,loveble and at times you really do feel like banging your head on the wall at the innocence . I wpnt give away any of the story line as it doesn't seem far to do that. the description of the book does that well enough. And I wouldn't want to wreck any part of the story or plot. sending alot of love and respect to the author Bonnie on a fantastic book.
I enjoyed the storyline and the character back stories. My only real hang up was some of the sexual descriptions, which were a bit corny for my taste. Otherwise it was a nice PNR twist.
Faye Grantham is engaged. Her fiancé wants her to see a sex therapist. He thinks she’s frigid.
Faye Grantham has been insatiable since her Aunt Mae died, three months ago. Her fiancé can’t satisfy her, so she decides to try for a one night stand, to see if she really is “broken”. No Spoilers!
After her night of exploration, Faye heads to the property her Aunt Mae bequeathed her, to find out if it matches up to her memories… to see if it’s worth keeping, despite her fiancé’s push to sell.
This property is special. A grand Edwardian mansion, it was built as an exclusive bordello. It’s full of history.
This first part of Faye’s story covers the beginnings of the establishment, once called “the House of Perdition”. Faye gets a far more vivid insight into the dramatic events leading up to the establishment of the bordello than anyone would ever believe - the women who made the place are the storytellers.
That’s right. Ghosts. Not any old haunting, the ghosts of the original five women are vivid, vivacious, & are living vicariously through Faye’s sexual exploits.
And what exploits!! Faye’s encounters are vivid, detailed, & pants-meltingly exquisite.
9.5/10 I will be reading more Bonnie Edwards publications.
My only tiny frustration was the use of “come” where “orgasm” would be more appropriate. “Her come was building”, for example. No no, her orgasm was building. These few instances were so jarring they broke my immersion for a bit, & it took a while to get back into things.
It wasn't quite what I was expecting, I thought it was a historical fiction I'd downloaded to my kindle (I didn't see the erotic fiction part) but turns out it was a good bit more racy than a Phillipa Gregory. I quite enjoyed it tho, perhaps don't read if your of a sensitive disposition. It's not a challenging read but it's a well thought out story and I like that the women in it are in charge of their own lives.
Sexy times from the get go! The story unfolds a little slower after all - anticipation is half the fun. The is not a teaser but a full length book that satisfies. I am pleased enough to buy Part 2.
Very well written. I could picture everything in my mind the way th a author wrote the descriptions. I do think it was a little bit of dirty play that the spirits didn't keep the house clean.
This was the best erotic book I have read in a long time. I can’t wait to finish the series. The women ghost are so entertaining and caring. This is girl power at its best.
