The Aeril Forest has been completely healed, the battles are finally over, and yet the corrosive blackness that has been haunting Raf still seems to be growing in strength. Can the source really be Pavor, the Gerent's cousin, as he suspects? Whatever it is, they know they must race to reach Miern and try to stop the vile traitor from taking over the city. But the Pass has become far more treacherous than before...
They quickly become entangled in plots that flare up around them, tearing them apart and dragging them down dark and dangerous paths that push them to their limits. With time pressing, Raf rushes blindly forward through the chaos, knowing he is all that stands in the way of the darkness consuming the world.

TAA DAA! A wonderful New series wraps up in grand style.

Extremely unique in scope with a new aspect on a fantasy saga. Hard to put down actually did all three books this week. One not to miss.

David continued fairly seamlessly from where he left off on the previous book in the series. I still enjoyed the first book best of all I think but he has completed the trilogy and rounded it all off well. His characters are engaging, believable and (mostly!) likeable. Perhaps the arch-baddie could have treated with a bit more perspective i.e. how did he gain his powers and why him? (Even Lord Voldemort was once a spotty student.) Younger readers might find some of the romantic stuff a bit much but there's nothing more than a bit of teenage puppy-love and perhaps I'm just a bit of a jaded old so-and-so :)
I look forward to David's future contributions to the fantasy genre,or any other literary genre for that matter.

This book was really good. This was the final book in the Melforger chronicles.
The battles are over and Raf was able to heal the forest and the ancients. He discovered his new powers. Now he is on his way back home.
The problem is his cousin wants to be in control and will do anything to stop him. Raf is thrown into danger and has to find where the darkness is coming from. Now he has to save them from this horrible darkness from taking over them all.
I wish I would have read the first two books first. I thought this story was a refreshing change from most books. Loved that you could see the authors love for music in the story. I cannot wait to read more from this awesome author!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Really enjoyed this trilogy culminating in Rhapsody. A unique approach to fantasy using music. Made me think and listen and be aware of harmonies in sound and color.
