WARNING: This is CORA'S story: This book may be considered NA (new adult) because it contains some swearing, violence and sex scenes: Suitable for ages 17 and up. A Clean Version will also be available on Amazon.
Eighteen-year-old Cora Jemison knows what it’s like to date a soul reaper. There are no Friday night movies, no school dances, and no stolen kisses between classes. It totally sucks! What makes it even worse, souls pop up when she least expects it. The last one is not her fault, but it all adds up to zero quality time with her super hot, scythe-carrying boyfriend, Echo.
Since Cora was etched with special runes by an evil Immortal, she understands why souls are drawn to her. She makes the best of it by helping souls find closure while Echo escorts them to the realm of the dead. Perfect partners, until a dark soul visits Cora in the dead of the night and Echo decides her soul-helping days are over.
Cora can either listen to Echo or follow her instincts. To make matters worse, other reapers start stalking her, demanding she hand over the soul. Even her Valkyrie friends think she’s gone too far. But something sinister is coming their way, and the soul is the key to saving her town, her friends, and her relationship with Echo. Can she convince Echo to see things her way before it’s too late?

Cora may have started as a side kick to Raine, but what best friend desn't want her story heard. She's more than Raine's best friend and much more than Echo's girlfriend. She's not the sweetest girl out there and has too much sass, but she's kindhearted and a loyal friend. She is no longer the boy crazy girl we met in Runes. She had to grow up fast, poor Cora.
First, she sees dead people and ends up in a psyche ward for months only to come out and find out reapers are after her. A case of mistaken identity leads to love but now... Aah, now she helps souls. The very beings she'd been scared of now come to her for help. In Grimnirs, she does it out of the goodness of her heart. In Souls, she does it to save the man she loves. And believe me, she's dealing with some really dark souls.
We get to catch up with old friends. Raine and Torin are very much around. Is Ingrid getting love interest or is it Andris? Does Blaine reveal something new about his background? The series continues, thanks to you, my fans. Keep spreading the word about the series.
Oh my days-I started this Book almost a year ago! 🤦🏽♀️😅 I blame an epic reading slump! 🙇🏽♀️ Anyway, I'm still really enjoying this series-& this one was the continuation of Cora & Echo's story, in NA form. 👩🏼🙋🏻♂️💞 I can't say too much more, as it's part of a series-But all of the expected drama involving Love, Family, Friends & Souls is back! 😉 I'll definitely continue reading this series-Witches is the next one... ✨
Oh how I've missed Echo! There's just no getting enough of the bad boy reaper, his and Cora's story continues in this amazing page turner!
Cora's life is never easy, though the souls give her Immortal life a purpose the after effects that go along with the job is no piece of cake. Her excuse, mystery meat...the cause of her upset tummy and why she's throwing her guts up after a possession with a soul. Then there's Dev, and honestly I loved the guy, dark soul or not he had me at the edge of my seat wanting to know more about him and his past.
When Echo has to leave to reap a very close soul to Raine's family his absence is hard for Cora to deal with, left in charge of protecting her Dev begins to show his true colors. He fills her in on what happened in the past, why he and Echo don't talk and who was responsible for his betrayal ultimately leading to his certain death.
Ednah Walters has done it once again! She kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole story. Now I cannot wait to hear Blaine's story - he's growing on me by the book. Ingrid and Andris as well...
Favorite Lines “No one hurts or betrays mine without dealing with me. And you,” I tilted my head, so I could look into his eyes, “are mine. Mine to love and protect. Your enemies are my enemies”
“When you say things like that, it reminds me how lucky I am to have your love. How honored I am to have the right to touch and love you.”
“Yes, love could make us do the impossible.”
“Never change for me, Echo. Always be true to yourself. Your honesty is what I love most about you.”
“You are the light in my darkness. The hope chasing away my despair. You are the keeper of my soul.”
“Don’t go disrespecting the Winchester boys,” I rounded on him. “They kick ass.”
“I didn’t care if girls fantasized about him as long as he came home to me.”
Ednah Walters does it again! Knocks it out of the park! Echo is my number one book hottie! He's so adorable while being such an alpha! Cora and Echo are so perfect for each other. So many times I oohed and aahhed while reading this book because of those two.
Malina the crazy evil girl is back and looking to take over Cora again. That girl can not take a hint. Echo of course wont let that happen.
I'm praying Ednah Walters writes their wedding next! I can't wait to see what comes next i love her!!
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review
I love watching these characters grow since we first met them in the beginning of the Runes series. I laughed, I love Cora and Echo's witty personalities. I cried. And I could not help the shivers that ran through my body at some of the heart melting words of Echo in this story. Ednah has a way with making her men so realistic, you can't keep from falling on their every word.
I am looking forward to reading more on the new characters and the possible new romance with a certain character...NOPE I am not telling, you will have to read to find out!
I have been a Torin fan from the beginning, but this book now has me torn as to who my favorite male lead is...Torin or Echo...what the hell am I saying, they can both fit in my closet! ;)
I totally loved this story getting even more of the back story on the mysterious Echo is worth every minute of reading. I really enjoyed getting to know Dev he was a great addition to this amazing series. I did get very teary eyed at the end which i knew was coming and it just made that part of the story that much more realistic. Ednah has done it again another amazing story with in her fantasic Runes series. Bring on Witches.
Warning: this book is part of a bigger series, the review might contain spoilers for other books.
Souls is the second story that has Cora and Echo as main characters and of course the story is set perfectly after Seeress. This is an exciting, sexy, addictive and phenomenal story that will leave you speechless and gasping for air.
Cora continues evolving into a strong, fearless, powerful and loving woman. With Echo by her side she still tries to use her gifts to helps souls while trying to remain sane.
Their relationship is so stunning. Their love keeps growing and becoming more marvelous. They are the perfect example of two people being like one soul divided in two bodies without losing their independence. Each one is amazing on their own but together they are a force to reckon.
The action and adrenaline is present during the entire book and this time the evil forces are meaner and have no limits on their actions. They will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.
The book moves really fast and the new characters are great additions. As usual the one we love as Raine and Torin make regular appearance without taking the spotlight of our sweet Cora. And there is one character that will make you laugh a lot and it definitely will make you like him.
One thing I love about Cora’s story is how real and natural it is. It has a more mature and sexy atmosphere and it’s true that the temperature rise a bit sometimes. I say this because but I don’t understand why there has to be a Clean Version. She is whole different person from Raine and her relationship with Echo is different and the scenes (which are great) that have a higher temperature are part of who she is, there shouldn’t another version because it would be like creating a new Cora, one that is not true to herself.
Anyway, this book is as great as its predecessors and Runes fans will love it. It’s a great paranormal romance with a great plot, good background, excitement all over the place and likeable characters.
*** I received a complimentary copy in exchange of an honest review ***
This is the 4th book in the series, but the 2nd book that follows primarily Cora and Echo. Once again their chemistry could make the devil blush! In this book Cora has decided to use her new found ability to see souls for good. She decides to help souls get closure with the loved ones they left behind, but she quickly realizes not all souls are content to state their unfinished business and move on to their afterlife. Some decide she would make a nice home......permanently. She must figure out who is after her, but she also has a boyfriend and best friend who desperately need her as their worlds start to crumble. Can she be their rock and protect herself, or will she sacrifice herself for those she loves and the souls she vowed to help? This book is spicy like only Cora and Echo can be, but its also heartbreaking and beautiful as Cora helps souls with their unfinished business. You wont be disappointed with this one!

Loved it. I started this series because it was a spin off of Runes, but I fell in love with Cora and Echo. They just seem to mesh better than Torin and Rain. It's almost like they are both old souls and understand each other better.
I love this series so much. It has everything I love, magic, romance, action and it's based on Norse mythology. Souls is the fifth book in the Runes series, the second book in the Grimnirs series and is centered on Cora, while Raine and the others make appearances.
Cora now trying to live her new life as an immortal and she is dealing with a lot of stuff. She is still helping souls and it still has it's downside. She is working at an retirement home and is trying to learn how to be a supernatural. I love how Cora grew as a character, she started out as Raine's best friend who was, while not a bad person, a little shallow. Cora now is her own character and she has grown emotional, she is no longer that shallow girl who cared only about boys and cloths. The events in the past has formed her into a better version of herself.
Everything between Cora and Echo is hotter than ever and their relationship is starting to take a serious turn. You can tell that they really care for each other and that this is a real relationship. Things aren't perfect and they have their problems but they work through them because the love each other so much. I think that they actually make a really good couple, they seem to balance each other out.
I am five books deep in this series, so you can't help but tell I really like the series. The plot is an interesting one and it's unique. I love the characters and how I get to switch between main characters by switching the heroine of each book. Souls is a steamy new adult romance that happens to have souls, Norse mythology, magic, reapers (grimnirs), a heartbreaking loss, dark souls, and a wicked scheme. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series and the spin-off series, aptly named Eirik.
I’ve come to expect great things from Ms. Walters and let me tell you she does not disapoint. Souls is Grimnirs #2 but if you follow the entire series this takes place after Seeres(Runes #3) which is technically the 5th book making this the 6th book. This is a bit steamier than the Runes books but I like it!
The Grimnir books can be read separately from the Rune books but no way do I recommend that! There is only one guy hotter than Echo and that’s Torrin! I’m having major swoonisims just thinking about these two!
Though this is centered around Cora we get glimpses of what all the other characters are up to. That is always a treat. If you haven’t read these books your missing out. Un-put-a-down-able, Souls picks up full of action and before you know it bam! Its over!! Now I’ll be pacing my living room till the next book comes out.
Loved It!
GAH! These two light up the pages! Cora’s personality really shines in this installment her character has done some serious growing. Its been a blast to watch. Echo has changed considerably he lives in a dark cold world and Cora is his light and warmth.
During the story Cora faces a lot of danger but all the while she is working hard on helping Echo find his way back to those he lost so very long ago. I’d say thats pretty selfless. Meanwhile back at the ranch Echo is frantically searching for a way to eliminate the threat against his beloved. My heart was again all over the place. All of these characters experienced so many tragedies my heart went out to them and I shared their anguish. I’ve got tons and tons of praise for this installment so I absolutely recommend this series!!
My Wish The Norns provided a little hocus pocus on the students I want to know more details… Also, when you know who and Ingrid connect I would LOVE to see more of them!! Eeeep! This series is soooo good!!!
My Rating 4.5 Volunteering, Possession, Hels Mist, Dev, Dark Souls, Corpse Strand, Teléia, Rhys, Romans, Mr. Cooper, Drew, Sacrifice, Medium Runes, Court Nomination, Flapper Dress, Different Venue, Vortex, Raine, Eirik, Hel’s Hound, Complex all Consuming Love filled Stars!! Another fab addition to a favorite of mine!! Pick these books up I mean it they're amazing!!
Still not happy about the sex scenes in a YA book - stuck in the middle of a series that is mostly clean. But, at least there is a warning attached to this installment. The problem is, who, after reading all the previous books is going to skip this or quit? Most YA readers will continue in-spite of the warning. And, the "clean" version was not readily mentioned anywhere on Amazon and was very hard to find whereas the dirty version was advertised everywhere.
The story of Cora and Echo is a great story overall, though. I love Echo's devotion and protectiveness!
Really really enjoyed this one. Every book in this series pulls you in deeper and this one is no different. I enjoyed Dev and his humor, true example of not judging a book by its cover. Dev surprises you at every turn. I love Cora’s devotion. Echo will never be able to keep her locked up safe and sound, she is becoming a strong woman capable of protecting herself as well as others. Great great book.
As promised a full review! Now down to the goodies which will contain spoilers from the previous books in the series so if you're not caught up yet go read them and come back. You've been warned. So we left off after a bit of a battle royal in the forest with the Valkyries and the evil Immortals. Well Cora is still doing her thing in helping souls find closure, even though her sexy soul reaper boyfriend Echo doesn't always like the toll it takes on her. Still he is a good boyfriend and is her perfect partner in this as he reaps the souls after she finishes. That is until she meets with a dark soul. Yep, and not just some twisted psycho but something much darker. Now Echo wants her to stop. She is caught between what she feels is right and what Echo wants from her. Add to that the other reapers trying to track this dark soul down and you have a mess. Even her Valkyrie friends don't understand why she would ever help a dark soul. Cora feels there is more to it than she's been told and that this dark soul may be the key to stopping a much more sinister plot against her and her friends.
As I mentioned I love me some Cora and Echo. He is such a good guy bad boy. He is a reaper, one of Hel's best, and he is very confident in himself but when he's with Cora he's different. I enjoy watching the different interactions with him and seeing how Cora interrupts him. She knows how it would look to others and what she has given up to be with him but she doesn't care. Some things she still has her moments on, come on what girl wouldn’t like a boyfriend to take her out in public ever once an a while. Still reading them together even when they don’t agree, because lets face it they're both stubborn. Its swoon worthy. His need for her comes through and makes me want to warm him up after his trips to Hel. And Cora, she has grown a lot over the series. She was all hot guy of the week blog but now she has seen what's really out there and wants to help people. She isn't the type to sit back and let her supernatural boyfriend do all the work, she wants to contribute too. So she helps souls even when it takes a toll on her. She is a strong character who takes what is given to her and rolls with it the best way she can. At the same time she is totally mushy and in love with her guy even though she hates being 'that girl' sometimes. Though I would never classify Cora as a girl who needs her guy to be complete, I simply think that what they have makes them both stronger and its okay to need/want that.
We've covered their chemistry. Scorching. Echo has also grown since we first met him and although he doesn’t care to have a ton of people around he is slowly coming out of his solitary life. He has friends now even if no one will admit it. Cora is good for him in that way, she loves him and their time together but she isn't given up her friends and family to spend every second with him but instead pulls him into it. Even if he doesn't always make it easy or play fair. I also liked that in this one we got more of Raine, Torin, and the gang. Cora's relationship with Echo is great but we also see more of her with Raine. They had been friends for years and we see that closeness in here. I could easily see their relationship, not many words needed to discuss something, just needing a hug, and always standing by one another in any situation. Also unlike Raine, Cora has to do all this supernatural stuff without her parents knowing which means lies and cover stories. That can't be easy for when you have a good and close relationship with your parents like she has. And I love that the author didn’t just shove that aside either and made it clear.
Oh the feels. I won't say when, if you haven't read this book, but there were a couple of scenes where it pulled on my heart strings and gave me a serious case of the feels where I had to stop reading for a bit and do something else. Hey I was at work and I refuse to cry because of a book at work; the guys would never let me live it down and I'd scare people away if they came to the window. So keep tissues handy.
Not just Cora/Echo hotness, or tears, there was a lot of action going on between the fighting and the mystery to solve. We also learn more about the marks put on Cora that make her soul cat nip. It also left plenty of questions unanswered that I hope will come up in the next book. The stories really do line up perfectly and I can't wait to see what happens next in Witches in December. With all this, if it wasn't clear I give Souls 5 Apple Pies. Anyways Souls came out September 29th so check it and the other books in the Runes and Grimnirs series out.
Souls is a roller coaster ride that grips you and doesn't let go, not even with a mind blowing twist that has you reeling until the very end. Just when Cora thought it was safe to walk the halls of her school... BAM, Ednah Walters let's you know that not everything that dies necessarily stays dead. Ednah knows how to build the suspense in her books until it is a powder keg about to explode.
Cora Jemison takes her new "job" very seriously. She feels she has a sense of purpose when she is helping souls get closure before they are reaped by Echo. What she isn't prepared for is a dark soul with a mysterious link to Echo to visit her in the dead of night. Cora feels she has to help this dark soul in order to bring peace to Echo and the rest of the Grimnirs and Valkyries. What Cora failed to see was how much of a strain this would put on her and Echo's relationship.
Echo has gone along with Cora's efforts to help souls move on. That all changes when he finds out she has encountered a dark soul whom he knows very well. Echo is determined to stop Cora from helping anymore souls including this dark soul. Echo only wants to protect Cora but his stubbornness only ends up pushing Cora further away.
I wish I could say more but I might anger the Norns for revealing too much and they might erase my existence....lol. This book starts out intense and only gets more so the longer you read it until the very last page. On a scale from 1-5 I give Souls a 10. Giving this book a 5 would not do it justice because Ednah packed so much action into this book and such a mind blowing twist a 5 felt like a slap in her face....lol. If you are looking for an author who knows how to tell a story that keeps you hook from beginning to end then look no further than Ednah Walters. She is a sensational author whom is an automatic buy for me. If you are a fan of Runes Series and the Grimnirs than you need to run out and grab your copy of Souls. If you are new to this series than you really need to pick up Runes, Immortals, Grimnirs, and Seeress, as well as, Souls. Let Cora and Echo show you what it is like to live in their world one soul at a time.
I simply can't get enough of Echo and Cora. They have become 2 of my favorite characters! Cora has had a rough year. things are starting to get back to normal. Well, as normal as it could get for since she had runes drawn on her and started dating a soul reaper. She has started to understand how she can help souls that seek her out and why they are drawn to her. Sometimes they come when she really doesn't want to deal with anything. This makes a normal life difficult. Especially when dark souls enter the picture. Dark souls can be dangerous. They can destroy a mortal and leave them dead. Can they do this to Cora too? It doesn't help that Echo and this dark soul have a history and not a good one. To what lengths will Echo go to keep Cora safe? Is this first dark soul just the first of many?
I love that we still get to see a lot of the characters from the Runes series. I have really enjoyed that one as well. If I didn't get my regular Torin and Raine fix things could get ugly. So I am glad the two series overlap. They all must work together now. With Cora getting so protective of this particular dark soul she puts herself in more danger. Enough so to attract more Grimnirs to her. What will Cora risk so that this dark souls story can be heard? Is he simply using her or does he have pure intentions?
We get our fix of hot Cora and Echo moments too! YAY! These two are so perfect for each other. They have a sizzling romance that keeps you wanting more. I am glad this was more of a NA version of their story. I like my stories with a little more to them! These two love each other so much. Could this dark soul from Echo's past leave Cora with doubts? She knows how Echo is and what he has done it the past but, could this soul make her question her trust?
I loved this book! Things just keep heating up for this group. You would think one dark soul would be enough to deal with. Unfortunately for them he is just the beginning of what is coming. Can everyone come together to save Cora? You'll have to read the book!
I have received an ARC copy of the book for an honest review.
There is a battle in me. After this part I am totally in love with Echo – I liked him in Grimnirs, but I was in loved with Torin. I was hooked on Torin, but after I have read Souls? Iąm not so sure any more. The love between Echo and Cora is captivating and it makes you want the same for yourself in real life.
But the story.
The book tells us the story of Cora after she started her “job” as a Soul Helper – her communication skills are getting better and she is successfully helping souls find their closure and simply move on. But her awesomeness doesn’t end here. She moved from helping souls to helping living also. She a volunteer in care home and when I read that I had tears in my eyes. Not many people can do that from just pure heart. Cora thinks everything is perfect, her relationship with Echo is blooming and getting more passionate with every second. But then, Echo’s past is staring to haunt her. Literally. A dark souls emerge and seeks her help to patch up things with Echo, but the latter doesn’t want to hear it. But as Core being herself, she is not giving up as she knows that this is the closure for her Echo, that is preventing HIM to move on. She fights for him.
Echo, God he is so hot. I am almost jealous of Cora. Ednah knows how to make girls/women heart to melt. The words that Echo was saying to Cora was making me a puddle of emotions. I cried, literally, few times. He is mesmerizing. but his stubbornness and the fact that he simply doesn’t like Cora’s “job” causes them to fight and they drift further away from each other…
I would like to say so much more! But I know, from my own experience, that spoilers are a big NAY. There is simply not enough stars for this book. Ednah is just to good. And now I can’t wait for the next parts!
It would be hard to follow without reading the Runes Series, so I recommend to go and get them now :D
The wonderfully talented and international bestselling author Ednah Walters has mastered the enticing elements of young adult romance and the paranormal and turned it up a notch. The cover isn’t the only thing down right beautiful and eye catching about the fifth book in her Runes series, Souls: Grimnirs Book 2.
From the moment the book starts you are tossed once more into the chaotic world of the Grimnirs, reapers for Hel, Valkeries who collect souls for Valhalla and Falkvang, and into the life of eighteen year old Cora. Life of a high school student will become even harder for Cora as her abilities to see souls and her desire to help them land her in grave danger, danger that will require all the help available to fend off.
Along with old and new casts Souls is jammed packed with loveable characters and enticing revelations not to mention heart throbbing moments that will have you giggling in delight. Raine and Torin from the Runes series take a more minor character role in the Grimnirs series, but help tie in both series nicely. But not to fret Cora, Echo, Dev, Rhys, Blaine, and more color the pages of this well written first person story.
The upbeat and refreshing dialogue keeps the pace leveled yet adds humor and a dash of steam to the already interesting dilemmas that arise. I laughed, I gasped, I wiggled in my chair with anticipation and rightfully so, Souls is everything it promises to be and more. Souls is a delightful read from the first word to the last.
Eye catching believable characters, down right heart bounding situations, and cliffhangers that keep you turning the page all make Souls and the Grimnirs series unable to put down. If there was a book that made one wish they could fill a page with the phrase ‘I loved it’ over and over again this one is it.
I have received an ARC copy of the book for an honest review.

Ednah Walters certainly knows how to woo her audience. I seriously cannot get enough of this series, when I think they can't get any better.... POW... Ednah pulls a fast one on us and delivers another knockout installment.
If you've read the Runes series than you'll already know Cora and her smexy reaper Echo, if not than you need to get on that, like now!!! -_^
Cora is such a beautiful character, she's got a take no crap from anyone attitude. But she's also kind-hearted, sweet, fierce and very lovable. Cora can see and talk to spirits, after being marked she's become like a beacon for them. She's made it her mission to help as many spirits as she can move on. One night she had her first encounter with a dark spirit, this particular spirit happens to know Echo quite well and asked for Cora's help to talk to him. Once she told Echo about the spirit he flat out refused to let her help it. These spirits are dangerous and this particular one is not on Echo's good list (not that Echo has a good list lol).
Echo is still as hot and stubborn as ever. I seriously swoon every time he's in the picture. Echo and Cora are just so full of passion for each other, it sure brings out the feels and definitely burns up the pages. This book is a little steamier than the others and I loved that lol. My heart was a fluttering away. *sigh* ^_^
I have to admit I've rewritten this review so many times cause I'm just so...without words lol. I just can't praise it enough! Ednah has done an amazing job, I was glued to every page, not even sure I came up for breath lol.
I'm on the very edge of my seat waiting for Witches, time can't go fast enough!!
I HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone that's looking for a new and exciting adventure.
I absolutely love this world that the author has created, and just can't get enough. The storytelling is phenomenal and just grabs you from the moment you start reading and doesn't let go. Everything flows so smoothly, you don't even realize how much time is passing by while you're engrossed in the story.
I adore the entire cast of characters-and Echo most of all. The range of emotion he is capable of showing is surprising and welcome in an alpha male character like his. I've been reading since the start of the Runes series, so I am really invested in all of these characters.
This story concentrates on Cora and it adds dimension to the entire Runes and Grimnirs storylines while giving us a view of things from a human-turned Immortal POV. We get to learn so much more about Cora's situation, dark souls, plus we get plenty of suspense, action and some really intense scenes between Cora and Echo. All of which will have you riveted to the pages-and my bet is that like me, you'll be craving more stories from this incredibly rich and vibrant world-and counting the days until you can read more.
While Souls is clearly a mature YA/early NA book, a clean version is also available for those who may be younger-though I would recommend at least high school age on up, with the regular version best for 18+.
A story and series that keeps living up to expectations and doesn't disappoint, Souls is an exceptional 5-star read that I highly recommend. For the best enjoyment of the book, I would definitely suggest reading the rest of the Runes series before starting this story. Enjoy!
Souls blew me away. For one reason. Well actually one certain Grimnir. ECHO. He is my favorite character in all the Runes Series and the Grimnirs Series. I started liking Torin since the beginning but one I met Echo in Grimnirs I fell in love right away. This book did not disappoint (but I liked the first book a little more because my favorite parts are always when the characters meet for the first time). I liked this book for different reasons but there is always something going on with these people! They are always attacked and of course this is the case in Souls but very unique I think because new characters were introduced! I loved hearing more of Echo's past and we get to see them in this book! My favorite one was Dev even though I was a little sketchy about him at first. He is quite a strange character (you will find out why once you read it). My favorite part in all these books are the characters banter, it is so fun and refreshing. There was one problem I had though. Echo was missing in the book quite a lot and I hated it. He makes this book really interesting for me but we get to see more about Cora because she is always depending on him but now she is alone some time (but not really). I needed more Echo but other than that it was good! The characters were fun and interesting. The plot and the climax was good. I just needed a little more to the ending because I always hate ending books so I always want more (but if that was the case books would never be finished)! Read this book and see what you think about it.
Wickedly fun, filled with dynamic characters, Fantastic plot and riveting storyline. With a hint of spice for all the romance readers out there ;) .
The story itself highlights the growth of the storyline - the characters as well as gives the reader valuable insight into the dynamics behind the story.. Norse mythology, reapers and Immortals within these pages - gives the reader a delectable palate for this world of the Paranormal that Ednah Walters has so wonderfully created.
A fast paced read, that sweeps you along at each page. You will be grinning sheepishly, ohhhiing and arghing and also be intrigued as to which way the story progresses.
Loved Echo and Cora - the chemistry is sizzling and dam electric.. My heart did butterfly flips throughout reading. The affection and love is tasteful and so very loving it just makes me feel like a marshmallow. ( grins )
I look forward to seeing more of new characters in the next story and see where Ednah takes us on this whirlwind adventure.
You will never be left feeling unfulfilled in these reads they are jam packed to the last page with action, laughs, adventure, romance, sexy time and the world of the paranormal.
You will find in each book the characters grow - we see them from the very first one till now and can see how much they have each grown and has each story develops.
We fall for one - then find another - this dam author knows how to weave her men into our hearts and leave us starry eyed and with another book boyfriend to add to our list. ** swoon * Echo !
Loved this story I eagerly await more from this author.
Souls is the second book in the Grimnirs Series featuring Cora and Echo. It is a spin off of Ednah Walters Runes series, containing the same characters. Which is SUPER cool because I LOVE all the characters in this series. Each character has their unique personality and fits perfectly into the whole world created by Ednah.
In Souls, Cora is learning how to help the souls she sees. Echo is overprotective as always, however starts to open up to Cora more about his past. Which is super exciting because there is so much to this past that comes into play in this story. Cora is determined to help Echo with this past, because she knows that Echo isn't as tough and heartless as he shows off to be. *big sigh* I am not one to give any spoilers, so that's about as much as I can say about that!
Cora also learns a few clues to the runes that she received to make her immortal. *squee* The plot thickens!!
So, there are two big issues going on this story...which...makes this story full throttle all the way through. No, not a dull moment at all. How can there be a dull moment with Cora and Echo's hawt chemistry, the action, drama, and humor. Characters you have grown to love are all present in this story. There is a little heartache, but all of this combined together makes an incredible story and series as a whole that you NEED to read and experience.
