His Vow, Dark Ruin

Rate this book
"One kiss. One vow. Dark ruin."

One kiss in the dark. One blood debt from the past. When Zara sneaks out to dance under the city lights, she never expects to lock lips with a dangerously beautiful stranger. But the next morning, she finds out she’s been promised to him in marriage—a payment for her father’s silence.

He is Roman Zanetti. The man she kissed. The Mafia Boss who walked away when he learned she was a virgin. And now, her husband.

She wants to hate him. He just wants to protect her. But he is damaged, love is not in the cards for him or, is it? Can she break down those steel walls he’s built around his tormented heart?

Only one way to find out!

The book was just very boring and repetitive... every other page was her saying how she didn't want to be with him, and him saying she didn't have a choice because that's how they're life works. Then around 80% you randomly get a sex scene between the two... while she still hates him which made 0 sense to me.? The story is super short, only around 80 pages, but I feel like there should've been a lot more to actually build a plot and interest in the characters.

chat GPT repetitive nonsense

I never leave reviews, but this was a struggle for less than 100 pages. The repetition in this is awful. I didn’t want to let the other 1 & 2 star reviews taint my view. However this just felt so half assed and scattered. This wasn’t even a good mafia romance. It was definitely just a girl stuck in a penthouse going crazy.

Repetitive and Boring

This book feels like it was written by AI. I kept flipping back between chapters because I thought I was reading the same chapters twice. It’s boring and the main character feels 1 demential. She lacks depth. I wish I didn’t waste my time.

Actually written by AI; the end of Chapter Four ends with the phrase, “Let me know if you need any adjustments or further changes!” 🤬 DNF needless to say.

Agreed with others, VERY repetitive and jumps from one thought to another without fleshing out how the heck we got there. So confused reading this, not worth it.
