In this book, Mr John Woods seeks to reflect on our father deficit in contemporary society. Mr. Woods does this well he looks at both the old and the new Testament to see what the Bible says about fathers and God the father. He interviews many people about their experiences of fatherhood and experiences of fathers and how this shaped them wanted more statistics and reflections on contemporary society and the deficit of fatherlessness has on society. Also wanted a bit more on what the Bible says about God the father but overall a good book.

An important topic, quite easy to read. Makes to reflect on the role of father in your own life. Questions for reflection, a prayer and possible action steps at the end of each chapter. Definitely worth to read.

Easy to read. An eye opener to the effects of fatherlessness in the life of an individual. Helpful reminder that churches should be talking more about the effects of fatherlessness.
