A great collection of essays, about a wide range of topics: having bipolar depression, being a Black woman travelling in Italy, love songs, a beautiful letter written to Maya Angelou in the wake of her death, being a grad student, childhood memories, and more. I liked how she played with first, second, and third person narrations while writing about herself. Seeing this tagged as a queer/bisexual book I was hoping for more queer content than there was, but maybe that's for her next book? I will definitely read it!
