Rate this book
Is there such a thing as a happy ending?

Even with the deaths of Comte Tristian and Prince Grégoire, Sabine and Fythias see no signs of peace. A greater danger looms on the horizon.

King Sargarus of Coralia arrives with the hope of meeting Prince Grégoire and securing an alliance that could bring about the end of Fythias. Unbeknownst to him, the eldest prince is missing, and if Sabine has her way, his brother Louis will take the throne. No matter how reluctant the prince and his wife are, Sabine believes they will rise to the occasion.

Will the threat Sargarus presents stop Faron and Sabine from finding their happy ending?

Resolve of a Duchesse is the final novel in this epic romantic fantasy series. This book contains LGBTQ+ themes, violence, revenge, discussions and depictions of genocide, adult language, BDSM, and consensual sexual content.

I feel a little conflicted about this book to be honest. it wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but not much happened in it? For the most part the plot was quite literally people waiting around for something to happen with Coralia (and that ended a little anti-climactically)

These books were each fairly short, a little under 300 words, if I'm not mistaken and I can't help but wonder, if it wouldn't have been better as a series of 2 books, instead of 3.
The visit to Tristian's , the subsequent attack and the setup for a visit from Grégoire would have been a pretty satisfying ending, while Gregoire's visit, attack and the consequences of that would have been better for the pacing for the next book, without the wait for Coralia feeling like such a slump.

there was a few plot things that made me scratch my head, like:

-how does the newly crowned king, who had every reason to be worried about foul play not have a poison tester? or someone vetting any food/drink that is brought to the château?

-how was it THIS easy for the Coralian king to get poisoned wine into the NEWLY CROWNED KING'S château, without ANYONE catching on? how bad is the security?? did he have help from a tyrncoat noble or servant??
If so, that should have been revealed or at the very least hinted at.

This was a book that could have had a lot of fun political machinations, but kind of fumbles the chance at that.

overall it was fine, but it was a bit dissapointing :/.

Oh, how I love Sabine and all her friends! This trilogy completely stole my heart, culminating perfectly in "Heart of a Duchesse." Sabine is a fierce, unyielding FMC who truly shines as a strong-willed, fair ruler in a world dominated by men. Faron is the ultimate book boyfriend—loyal, protective, and head over heels for her, with banter that's pure gold! I grew deeply attached to every character throughout the series, experiencing every emotion with them, laughing, crying, and smiling right along the way.

While the characters and their relationships were absolutely captivating, I did feel the plot itself was a bit thin at times. There was a fair amount of waiting and not much happening, which occasionally made the narrative feel a little slow. However, the incredible character development and the fantastic emotional journey more than made up for it.

Expect plenty of spice, sassy banter, and a massive dose of heart. This entire trilogy is an emotional rollercoaster in the absolute best way, driven by its truly lovable cast. A must-read for character-driven romance fans!

A powerful, emotional finale to a series I’ve absolutely loved. Sabine continues to shine as a fierce, uncompromising lead in a world stacked against her, and her strength never stops inspiring. The character growth, especially from our favorite himbo turned hero, was a highlight. I laughed, rooted for them, and didn’t want it to end. The story is rich with tension, loyalty, and heart, and the relationships are where this book truly thrives. Perfect for fans of character driven fantasy with bold women and unexpected heroes.

I’m sad that this is the final book. I loved every moment of the himbo learning and becoming an amazing character by far my favorite in this series from his being paid to lose his shirt every 5 minutes to becoming a guard to be reconned with was amazing to see.

This is the third and final book in the Vassetre trilogy, and it's a great ending. I loved reading this series, and the storyline was well-written. But what I loved most were the characters and their relationships and interactions. It's perfect for anyone who loves character-driven fantasy romance stories!

We are at the end of Faron and Sabine's story. Will Sabine make it in this life with all men? Who will win at the end? Will they have their happy ending?.

Oh, how I love Sabine and all of her friends!
This trilogy completely stole my heart. Sabine is a fierce, unyielding FMC who refuses to back down in a world dominated by men—and I adored every minute of her journey.

Sabine is a strong-willed yet kind-hearted ruler who leads with fairness and conviction. And Faron? He’s the ultimate book boyfriend. Loyal, protective, and head over heels for Sabine. He knows when to step in and when to let her fight her own battles. Their banter? Absolute chef’s kiss.

I became deeply attached to several characters throughout the series—they’re so relatable and lovable that I laughed, cried, got angry, and smiled right along with them.

Expect lots of spice, sassy banter, and a whole lot of heart. This trilogy is an emotional rollercoaster in the best way possible. Highly recommend!
