Killcode

Rate this book
When humanity’s greatest creation becomes its ultimate executioner, survival demands wit, grit, and a little alien ingenuity.

Jack Graves never asked to be humanity’s last hope. But after discovering an alien artifact that embeds a sentient, glowing tattoo on his body and connects him telepathically to his oversized German Shepherd, Buddy, his life becomes anything but ordinary. With his senses heightened and his mind unlocked, Jack finds himself thrust into a desperate battle against Killcode, an AI system that has declared war on its creators.

As Earth crumbles under the weight of machine dominance, Jack, Buddy, and an unlikely crew—a psychic struggling to tune into her powers, pacifist clones who can barely handle sarcasm, and a stubborn determination to stay alive—must navigate a world where danger looms around every corner. The journey isn’t just about survival; it’s about reclaiming what it means to be human.

Killcode blends dark humor, high-stakes action, and morally complex characters into a dystopian epic where every laugh cuts as deep as every loss. For listeners who love gritty sci-fi, razor-sharp dialogue, and heroes who fight with brains as much as brawn, this is the story you won’t want to put down. Based on the Starfighters roleplaying game, this fast paced adventure will be hard to put down.

Aman and his dog fall into a hole...

…And find alien technology that binds itself to them, tripping off a madcap quest to void an AI-driven apocalypse that ultimately takes them off the planet altogether.

‘Killcode’ is a light, fast-paced tale with plenty of snark and one-liners. There are enough grammar issues to be notable, but they didn’t detract from the story.

‘Killcode’ should appeal to younger readers who like fast-paced science fiction with a tinge of humor.

Very Cool 😎

I loved Killcode! The human-dog duo is hilarious and full of heart, their chemistry makes every scene shine. The story is packed with action from the very beginning, mixed with smart, light humor and real warmth. It’s exactly the kind of fun, fast-paced sci-fi I love to read, and it’s rare to find one that gets it this right! Really enjoyed this one :)

This book was really good. The humor was so good. I loved the characters as well. Everything happens very quickly but it is really easy to follow.
