This was my favourite book by Claire Kirby. The way that Emma's heartache after losing her dad is healed by love was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the sort of Cinderella evil step mother vibe and the the absolute heart throbbing knight in shining armour. I would thoroughly recommend this book.

This was amazing story and it was a steamy page turner and the suspense was so intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down . It was addicted and as soon as you started reading it was mind blowing.Emma and Luca's story was forbidden romance. The chemistry between them was sexual tension and the physical attraction was tense and captivating. They couldn't even fight the temptation any longer one night with him will change her life forever. But was she falling in love with him right now in this moment or will he feel the same well. But how would her father reacted to the news of her having his best friend baby in this moment.
I highly recommend this book and won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily my honest review. Trina Jones

Did I just find myself staying up until the early hours of dawn finishing this book by Claire. The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES, I did. I am going to be needing a nap later today but OMG this book was worth every last minute of sleep deprivation I just might be feeling today. The characters Lucas and Emma are going to blow you away with their chemistry, romance and the HEA ending they both deserve. WOW this romance read needs to be started first thing in the morning because you are not going to stop reading it until you hit the end trust me because I started it in the evening after dinner and didn't crawl into bed until early morning. This is one TERRIFIC romance book, but that doesn't surprise me any because all of Claire's books have been AWESOME 5 star reads.

He's her knight in shining armor

A well written story, with a lovely slow-build, heartwarming age-gap romance, billionaire dad's best friend, sweet and spicy scenes, passion, humor, and a lovely HEA. I would recommend for a good evening read as I couldn't put it down, the chemistry between Emma and Lucas is fantastic.

When her dad dies suddenly Emma is trying to deal with her loss while working to save her family business and legacy. While trying to stop her stepmother and step sister from selling off the business she finds support from her father's best friend, but working together they find themselves growing closer and battling for more than just the hotel.

She is grieving the loss of her father while dealing with an unbearable stepmother and step sister. He is her father’s best friend possibly the only one who can save the family legacy.
I absolutely adored everything about Lucas and Emma. I found their story to be very endearing. I especially loved the whole prohibition theme of the hotel. I have a fond adoration for the roaring 20’s. I think I was born 50 years too late. It is one of my favorite eras, so anything in that theme is a win with me. also loved Lucy and Royce I think they would make a fun couple for a future book.

Didn’t take long for me to realize how evil the step mother was and as the story went on I wanted to reach through the screen and shake her. The tender love story that developed between Lucas and Emma, tender and sweet that turned in to full blown steam ahead. Both of them could have been a tad more responsible when it came to birth control…but it is what it is.
Their HEA has some character turn around and it was nice to see a relationship mended.

Wow, with the step-mother and step-sister, this book almost reminds me of Cinderella’s famous family 😊

Tropes:
• Age gap
• Forbidden
• Evil step-mother
• Accidental pregnancy

Lucas helps Emma try and save her family’s business after her father dies while her stepmother wants to get rid of it. The chemistry between these two was insane but it was there and you couldn’t miss it!
Claire Kirby over did herself with Lucas and Emma! I stayed up way too late reading this but I had to get to the ending!!

This is the story of Emma and Lucas, they are no strangers to each other as he is her father's best friend. Lucas comes to her rescue when she finds out that her stepmother wants to sell her father's hotel which he and her mother worked so hard for. I thought her stepmother was a horrible woman, will they find out why she wants to sell the hotel so badly and what does she know about her father's death?

Heart warming

Two souls missing one person for her the father she loved so much. For him his very best friend that he hadn't seen in years. He comes back to pay his respects and find she has lost everything to the calculating step mother the hotel he help his friend build and the only home she had ever known. Then attraction hit them both, surprise pregnancy and the truth behind her fathers death. Wonderful story, great characters. A true Claire Kirby story at its best!! I highly recommend!!!

Trouble times three
This story definitely had Cinderella vibes as poor Emma had to deal with a wicked stepmother.
Lucas and Emma’s age difference was also a factor that eventually the two of them overcame.
There was scheming, secrets held, fun times, sneaking around a growing love plus some steamy scenes.
An enjoyable read with great characters and a happily ever after.
A pleasure to read.

Lucas and Emma are a delightful couple that had me from the first page. He is her father's best friend that comes to lend a hand when he learns that Emma's stepmother wants to sell the hotel that her parents worked tirelessly to create. It has some intriguing twists and turns that had me guessing to find out what really happened with Emma's father and what her stepmother was hiding.

Triplet Trouble For My Father's Best Friend by Claire Kirby is part of the Triplet Trouble Trilogy. I enjoyed reading Emma and Lucas's story. I felt bad for Emma loosing her father and having to deal with the wicked stepmother. I loved that Lucas wanted to help Emma. This was a heartwarming story that reminded me of Cinderella.

Cinderella Vibes

Intense and full of chemistry, Lucas and Emma were great as a couple despite their age gap and forbidden nature of their relationship. This story was emotionally driven, which added to the Cinderella vibe. I could not put it down and loved how supportive these characters were of each other.

Longer than it needed to be

A little slow

Of course you need a will if you own millions of dollars of property -- entire plot depended on her dad not having a will, and it's inconceivable he didn't given his networth

Of course Lucas also needs a will

Frances was so terrible, odd she caved at end

Why didn't Emma have a single friend at age 25? Like her friendship with Lily, but not likely that Emma had zero friends given her personality

Disappointing

Can one find the right person even in the daughter of a dead best friend? it would seem so. Lucas and Emma's story is one of loss and continued destruction. But when love waits in the arms of the best friend of your dead father, things change. What Emma thought was going to continue as a loss for her, turn into love and gain. This book was a fantastic read.

Stand by your love

Lucas comes into town to pay his belated respects only to fall in love with the daughter of his best friend. But why does step mom hate her so much, how did her dad really die? Such a great story, kept me turning the pages!

Triplet Trouble

This would have been a good book of it had been edited. The inconsistencies and ‘wrong’ words became annoying. There was an over abundance of sex graphically described, so much so it got to be trite. A good editor could have made this a great story.

This love story is amazing...it's got the wicked stepmother, the oblivious stepsister, a strong but beaten down FMC, an older protective MMC, new but loveable best friend, a dog, & all kinds of spice. A definite read for any romance reader!!

Dive in and enjoy

Emma and Lucas have chemistry that is off the charts. Even though it's an age gap romance it doesn't feel that way. Lucas is very young at heart. This book has great characters, even an evil stepmother. Spicy romance with a great plot.
