JT
Moving from a tiny country town to the big city is tough enough. Throw in the fact I’m smack bang in the middle of my senior year and let’s just say it’s been an adjustment. Making the Division 1 basketball team alongside my ultra-popular cousin certainly helps though. As does the fact all the girls seem to be looking my way twice. Sounds pretty good, right?

But here’s the thing. See, there’s also this guy. His name’s Quinn. I’m not sure what it is but there’s something about him and that something means I tend to look at him. Like, all the time. It may have something to do with the way he wears our school uniform that seems to make my mouth go dry.

Quinn is everything I’m not – super intelligent, effortlessly classy and on his way to law school. We have nothing in common, and I’m pretty sure he’s allergic to sport. Besides, he’s never even noticed me.

But then we’re paired up for a science project and I suddenly have his full attention. And his attention? Let’s just say it’s sending me places I have been trying really hard not to go.

I can’t be myself at home. But Quinn gives me a safe place to let me see who I really am. And he makes me want more. Makes me want him. Makes me want to risk everything. I want him to be mine – but am I ready for that?

Fast Break is a low-angst, new-adult romance. Both MMCs are 18+. This book contains some tender, heartwarming M/M moments (and basketball – lots of basketball).

Who am I? I’ll never tell.

I'm a coastal girl at heart (total shocker if you've read any of my books) and sometimes I just can't imagine a better place to find love than a hot summer's eve on a sandy beach.

Throw in a strong coffee or a glass of Australian Riesling and what more could you ask from life?

I spend far too much energy daylighting as a corporate lawyer in the wine and spirits world. I write to escape the real world which is nowhere near us fun. I hail from Adelaide, Australia and I hope you enjoy this little window into my corner of the globe.

This is so adorable. It's such a feel-good and uplifting story, with almost no angst or drama. I enjoyed every second I spent reading this book.

I loved TJ and Quinn as the main characters. Everything about them and their relationship development worked for me. The side characters are wonderful, most of them. I loved that TJ had so many people around him who supported him.

I didn't like his parents at first, but I'm really glad that the situation with them didn't go in the direction it might have gone. I was satisfied with how their conflict was resolved. The ending is a bit sappy, but I didn't mind.

I do feel this book deserves a better cover, and I have no clue why it's called Fast Break. Did I miss something? 😅

Thank you for the recommendation, Pauline! It is exactly what I needed. 💕

That was absolutely ADORABLE omgg 😭

This felt like such a soft and sweet spin on the nerd/jock trope, and I ate up every second of it.
JT’s crush, his fumbling and nervousness, the blushing, the sweet smiles and lingering looks, the awkwardness, the pining and slow-ish burn… all of it was giving me the sweetest little butterflies. Their attraction and yearning were so gentle and tender and just…GAAAH, I COULD NOT with these two 😭

The writing honestly impressed me, too. Everything felt so intimate and sensual and honest - like I was right there with them, experiencing every shift and spark between JT and Quinn. It had this emotionally warm, close-up vibe that just worked so well for me.

And the side characters?? Loved them. Trey, Amy, JT’s and Quinn’s families coming together - I’m such a sucker for that kind of supportive, wholesome energy 😭 It made the whole story feel even cozier.

Yes, it’s very low angst and maybe even a little too neat and perfect at times (the ending was bordering on tooth-achingly sweet), but honestly? I didn’t care. It made me feel so soft and warm and fluttery and I’m all about that right now. It was just NICE - in the best possible way.

So if you need a wholesome af, ultra sweet, no relationship angst, beautiful portrayal of first love, pick this one up, you won’t regret it.

*sigh* I loved this so much. Already tempted to reread 🥹🧡

Hmm sadly I didn't really click with this story. I know everyone loved this, so here are my thoughts why I didn't:
-Everything is so black and white up until 80%. There are the good people like Quinn and JT, Trey and his family, Quinn's family. And then there are JT 's family, his strict, uncaring religious parents (who are on page on exactly 2 short occasions until 80%).
-JT has 2 younger siblings. Why do we never meet the siblings? Not even one time are they around until the last chapter when they suddenly tag along.
-I get that JT's a 18 year old hormonal teenager discovering his sexuality and love, but I felt that the author only showed us the parts of JT 's life they needed in order to built the story, every other aspect was blocked out.
-I'm not sure how I feel about the open door sex in this book.
-A few confusing editing issues.
-Watching the boys falling in love, all cute and soft and smiling, was sweet, (even if it was very sugar-coated).

This book is what a perfect world would look like. Of course it's unrealistic, but it’s warm and cozy, and I felt genuinely good after finishing it. 🫶

It’s the most uncomplicated gay awakening ever — the kind of story where none of your high school friends are homophobes, jealousy is almost cute, and even the super strict family ends up accepting their gay son and adapting their religious beliefs. It’s a world where family means unconditional support.

The virgin MC is treated with so much care and devotion, and the more experienced one goes above and beyond to make everything perfect — and he actually does. Both MCs are beautiful, and somehow these 18-year-olds are more emotionally mature than most people in their 30s.

This might *sound* like a critique, but it’s not. It’s simple, it’s adorable, they kiss like heaven.🥰

Sure, it could’ve had more drama, a few more important scenes on-page, and maybe a bit more show less tell. Less stereotypes. And maybe the pace and writing needed some improving. But honestly? You come to this book for simplicity, coziness, and those totes adorbs vibes — and that’s exactly what you get.

I usually find it hard to fully believe in a HEA when both MCs are just 18 or 19, but in their little bubble? I believe it.

Thomas Jethro and Quinn 💚

This was a lovely, super low-angst book. Quinn and JT were adorable. Amy, Trey and JT’s family were amazing characters. I liked that their relationship developed slowly and that they took the time to get to know each other. And even the shitty parents' attitude got a good resolution; it was nice to see them trying to get their act together and not lose their son.

It gave me a lot of vibes to Milana Spencer 's Easton Grammar's books lol, so, if you liked this one, I highly recommend The Boyfriend Rivalry.

📝 REVIEW & THOUGHTS:

Fast Break is a sweet, wholesome, low angst, first love romance. It was really sweet, adorable and cute. I loved how supportive Trey (JT’s cousin) and Quinn’s mom were. So nice to read about such good people :))) in general this is a feel-good book. Although there is some content that could be triggering for some, please check my TW below.

I have to say that the book started dragging a bit, and I started to skimming probably around 65/70%. Being there is no real tension once they get together, not much plot, the only tension point comes from JT’s family. It wasn’t enough to keep my interest high at that point. It’s still a good and cute book, but in my opinion it would’ve benefited from being shorter.

Spice is also on the lower end of the scale. While there are a few scenes, it is not the focus of the book as the scenes are often short and not too explicit. Don’t read this for the smūt, cause this is no smūt.

Read this if you want to experience a first love, with a gentle gay awakening and two adorable guys.

Super adorable. I had a smile on my face the entire time. Very low drama, everything seems to work out perfectly well for them both, even when trouble does crop up.

Interesting dynamic where the jock and the nerd roles are reversed. It was funny from chapter one and full of cutesy comments. The two main characters were endearing and the side characters such as Trey and Amy made the story amusing.

Slight hints of drama but nothing sticks or is looked at in any depth. I mean it’s rare, but sometimes things just DO work out. Anyway, it was all pretty easy for them all said and done. Supportive extended family and friends. Supportive team members and coach. Supportive teachers, and a deeply religious family that is ‘trying’ to understand.

I had to mark it high because despite it being sweet and bubbly to the point cavities were a danger, I couldn’t stop smiling and at a few points laughing. Sometimes we just need something fluffy.

Really enjoyed it.

This wasn’t what I expected at all and in a very good way. This book is adorable and very sweet and entertaining. I love it!
When I read the blurb, I almost didn’t want to read it because of the mentioned homophobia. And I discovered: this is the only way I tolerate homophobia in my books, when it’s from ignorant parents who are at some point trying to make up. And when there’s family and/or found family that make up for them in the best possible way.

JT is adorable as a shy (but popular) jock. And Quinn is just the best. So sweet how possessive and protective he is, although you’d expect it to be the other way around because JT is the jock.

This book was catapulted right to the top three of my favorite books I read this year and I’m pretty sure it’ll stay there.

Will reread, and recommend very very much!

Thanks GRR and the author for giving me the opportunity to read and review this pearl of a book!! By now you probably know I’m very critical in my reviews (sorry), and I’m so very happy once in a while I get to write happy reviews too 😄

Yup, that's right. Four stars. Let's talk why.

JT is 18. That's the first thing that comes to mind because it somehow became the metaphor for this whole experience - JT (Jethro) is not a teenager or a new adult. He's 18 and the genre managed to find and stay in this beautiful, less explored space between childhood and adulthood - not quite YA and not yet NA. Just this really amazing in-between. It's been quite some time since I was able to let myself be swept away by teenage crushes and butterflies in the tummy without scoffing. To feel that tender, uncertain seed of Something. Something special. Quinn is just as amazing. His patience and insight. His smarts and confidence.

I just adored seeing them stumble upon each other and explore what they can be together.

The main conflict for this story was also surprisingly well-made: JT's dad is a pastor and that probably tells you everything you need to know. What made this situation not just bearable but interesting was that Jethro is not a pushover despite his lack of experience. He fights for himself and... minor spoiler but as someone who dislikes the whole closet tropes, I need to praise this, he comes out on his own and stands up for his relationship. A repressive family is such a bad recipe for some bad thinking patterns (you know what I mean, right?) and it's not a nice place to be. So having JT so unsure but also so willing to give this a try and never even once feel guilty or say this is wrong was... a way too nice surprise that easily pushed this from a silly boy romance into a good love story.

There were some great side characters and JT had support around him. In fact, I'd say a pretty justified comment about this book being a bit too "perfect" in a "wish everything turned out like this". More spoilers, but I do think it might treasure some people, that his family, his really controlling and dismissive and in some ways selfish parents are actually brought into the light. I have... complicated relationship with religion and I'd be more than happy to see JT kick their toxic ways to the curb. But seeing them hash it out, to share their fears and hard limits and actually communicate and find a way to heal their broken relationship? Might be pretty unrealistic but it sure is nice to see.

I wanted to do this book justice in the review because I was really impressed - partially I guess because my expectations were so low and I was ready for some low-angst low-drama book (some people might find less exciting) but also because this book is just that good. I don't like the term coming-of-age but it does describe the feeling pretty nicely and JT does not only find love but finds himself and finds strength to go after what he wants.

Recommend!

4.25/5 stars! This is my first read by author Aria Brennan and a low-angst, queer awakening that felt like snuggling under your blanket and sipping hot cocoa on a rainy day. JT and Quinn are both very mature for their age and their chemistry is palpable. There were times when the pacing felt like a bit of a miss, but I really enjoyed their story.

2+ stars-I did enjoy this book at the beginning as JT begins questioning his feelings and falling for Quinn. The author really makes you feel their connection. But it went on way too long for what it was and I skimmed large portions towards the end.

I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I loved getting to see JT and Quinn get to know each other through this story and watching how they supported each other through it and their relationship. JT has moved back in the middle of his senior year and is excited to be back in a bigger town and not be so isolated anymore. He is back with his cousin who has definitely made the transition a lot easier. He has been drawn to Quinn from the beginning but he hasn't really acknowledged what that could mean. He is starting to question it more and more as he is finally letting himself ask those questions and think about it. He is from a very controlling, religious and conservative household and being back in the larger area and around other family has allowed him a little more freedom and room for the questioning to start. JT and Quinn are paired up for a massive project together in the one class they share together and it allows them to start spending time together and actually getting to know each other. Quinn has been drawn to JT as well but he has hidden well. Little hints pop up here and there, enough to have him questioning and wondering. I loved how Quinn was able to be a safe place for JT to open up and ask questions about certain things and share certain tidbits about himself and how Quinn handled all of it so well without judgement and honestly answering his questions. It gave JT more of a foundation and place to continue to delve and be honest with himself. I loved watching these two as things starting coming together for them and they took their chance and found out that they were both interested. I love the care that Quinn took with JT and didn't want to move to fast as he knew it was special between them. This story was well written and engaging. I loved how sweet it was between the two of them and how they dealt with what got thrown at them together. There were lots of sweet moments between them that I really enjoyed. This book does deal with the fact that JT's parents are homophobic though no attacks happen and the rest of his family is supportive. I loved watching these two grow together and enjoyed this story a lot. Very well done and enjoyable.

Here's Aria Clark's newest book, "Fast Break."

This book was so soft and sweet! There was so many blushes and shy smiles. The friendship was so honest and open, and their relationship just grew onto that. It was adorable as hell!!

Of course, there were jealous almost-overs, jealous best friends, generally all-around uneducated (I speak what I hear from my parents) high schoolers, homophobic parents, and more. It wasn't 100% easy for them, but they made it work.

BUT there was virtually zero angst between these two. They were just...perfect. They communicated, they were open and honest. They cared so deeply. It was just...soft and sweet.

Trigger Warnings: homophobic (religious) parents, and more.

in this book the world is made up of sugar and rainbows and nothing bad happens ever which is my favorite kind of romance everrrrrrrr ouagh this was so good i spent a lot of it expecting the other shoe to drop (bc im a worrier. i worry so much my mother surprised me w a pajama set that reads overthinker in all caps on both the top and the pants. and my supervisor a month into our correspondence said to me. i think you think too much just all the time, you never allow yourself to relax. like wow im soooo high strung EVERYONE can see it!)

but genuinely sweetie pie romance foreverrr they were so cute and sweet i was squealing silently in my room at 3 in the morning when i read this theyre tooth rottingly in love and i couldn't get enough!

was the writing rudimentary and juvenile? well, yes! were some of the lines jt said so ridiculous i couldn't help but laugh? of course! (for example: "Well, I mean the kind of sex that I associate with the word, but which Quinn has gently schooled me is a hetero way of viewing things. I love it when he teaches me about queer life. It’s so foreign to me" girl this fucking fried me. and there's one line where he talks abt how he learned women don't belong in the kitchen. GOODBYE.) it's honestly kind of odd because they're random throwaway lines but i know that it's there to sort of prove that JT grew up religious and sheltered (especially considering he doesn't have religious guilt which <3 i love charas who don't have religious guilt more power to those who enjoy religious guilt but ive never been at odds w my religion to that extent and religious guilt more often than not boress me i don't get it. but i've never understood catholics like that. i ❤️ being hindu)

anyway. they were so cute and low angst sweetiepie romance remains supreme

Fast Break by Aria Brennan is the literary equivalent of a cosy blanket and a warm cup of cocoa. It’s sweet, fluffy, and full of heart—and while it might not mirror reality, it offers a beautiful slice of what we wish the world could be.

At its core, this is a story about two teenage boys discovering love, support, and self-acceptance in the gentlest way possible. A jock and a nerd fall in love, but in a fun twist, their roles are reversed—giving us a fresh take on the classic trope. The virgin MC is treated with incredible care and respect, while the more experienced one does everything right to make their connection feel safe and magical.

Yes, it’s a bit idealised—families are supportive, friends are progressive, religious beliefs evolve with love, and any obstacles that appear are handled with maturity far beyond their years. But that’s the charm of it. This isn’t a book trying to mimic the harshness of the real world—it’s creating a tender, accepting space to just feel good.

If you’re looking for:
- Sweet jock/nerd romance (with a reversal!)
- Gay awakening handled with ease and warmth
- Supportive families and friends
- Virgin MC with a respectful, swoony partner
- Minimal angst and maximum heart

…then this is your low-drama, high-feels, cutesy comfort read. Sure, the writing has room to grow and not everything goes deep—but not every book needs to. Sometimes, we just need joy. And Fast Break delivers exactly that.

I received a free copy of this book via Indie Author Creative and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ahhh young love! This was incredibly sweet and heartwarming. The perfect pick me up to read in between heavier stories. What I really appreciated was how the author was able to accurately portray how a young person with a strict church upbringing would be rather naive and unaware of much of the knowledge we take for granted. I loved how Quinn was able to read the situation with JT while also not just assuming his feelings. He allowed the relationship to develop naturally and I was feeling all the feels right along with them. Having grown up in a similar religious experience, this felt like an accurate portrayal in how JTs parents put the church above everything else that in turn, suffered. I liked that the author wasn’t gratuitous in the sad/lonely/family abandonment feels and kept this story feeling light and balanced. There was slight OM/OW drama but it felt realistic to the high school experience. There was spice as well and it felt age appropriate in how they weren’t these magical sex gods out of the gate but were so excited by each other and learning each other’s bodies. Very cute stuff indeed. Trey and his family were phenomenal and I loved them. Amy and Gran were absolute gold stars as well. For having some rather unsupportive parents, this book still had a really strong family love and support aspect that warmed my heart. This was a solid read and I hope to read more from this author in the future.

High School romance transferred jock finds unexpected love from a science project partner

This Australian high school romance is sweet, low angst, and troubling, featuring one of the main characters with significant differences between his pastor father and mother. They prioritize their church, despite claiming that both the church and their family are important. Their son, JT, often feels abandoned and dismissed. He also struggles with the idea of moving back to a place during his last year of high school (I may have some confusion here interpreting Australian high school years). He receives a lot of support from his uncle and his cousin, Trey, who is also on JT's basketball team. His family is always at the games, and JT's family is not.

JT experiences an awakening after seeing Quinn at school, noticing 'something' that compels him to stare, indicating a pleasurable view.

When JT and Quinn are paired for a research project in their science class, it feels like a dream come true for JT, but also creates angst about sitting next to this law-school-bound, good-looking boy. The assignment requires them to work together. Quinn is regarded as the smartest student in the class, but JT surprises Quinn with logical contributions to their project, as Quinn had assumed JT would be a lesser contributor, having previously judged JT's cousin, Trey, also in the class, on his High School Basketball Kings status and lack of a scholarship.

A romance develops, revealing how JT's family forgets about him, never attending his games, where he and Trey are star players. The story depicts a reasonable romance with high school angst intertwined with JT's self-discovery of his sexuality. Quinn is out and proud, supported by his mother and grandmother, as his father is absent.

This is a page-turner with both predictable and unexpected elements. The boys explore their sexuality at Quinn's home, with guidelines set by his reasonable mother. It concludes with a Happy Ever After: Aria Brennan provides a vivid account without being overly explicit. Her writing is straightforward without excess fluff, making this a quick read.

I do have a suggestion for Australian writers: please help us understand the differences in the educational systems.

I received an advance reading copy of this book, but this review is entirely my own work and was not influenced by the author or anyone else.

JT might look like the typical popular jock, but under the surface, he's quiet, thoughtful, and figuring himself out. Raised in a conservative home, he has never really understood why he is not into girls‌ until he is paired up with Quinn for a class project. Quinn, who's already out, is confident, kind, and immediately draws JT in. What starts as a friendship slowly becomes something more, and JT begins his own journey of self-discovery.

This is a sweet, low angst story that felt like the perfect palate cleanser. It's tender and emotional without being heavy, and Quinn and JT are just adorable together. Quinn and his mom are the kind of supportive presence everyone deserves, especially since JT is still dealing with his family's conservative views. Even though it takes place in High schooll, there's a little bit of steam (but just enough considering their age, and the closed door vibes feel appropriate.) I especially appreciated how patient and understanding Quinn was. He never pushed JT or got frustrated with how long it was taking him to come out. For someone raised in the church, JT handles his awakening with a surprising amount of calm and openness.

If you're looking for a soft, new adult friends-to-lovers story with a sweet gay awakening and minimal drama, this one is worth picking up

'He smiles back at me and my heart thuds in my chest, and I don’t even try to pretend it doesn’t mean anything anymore. Yeah, I like him. I know it won’t lead to anything but as I told JT earlier, you can’t force attraction, and you certainly can’t deny it when it’s right there in front of you either. He’s surprisingly sweet and kind but there’s a little fire to him too that I can’t help but be drawn to.
I want to know more. I want to know everything. I need to know everything, and I can’t for the life of me work out why.'

I loved this book. I loved both JT and Quinn. They were really sweet together. I enjoyed how they talked and opened up. How JT was a little insecure and innocent due to his religious upbringing and wondering about his sexuality. Quinn felt protective of him and tried to comfort and encourage him. In addition to their budding relationship, this story was a journey of self discovery for JT, learning and becoming comfortable with himself and who he is.

These two were so cute together, I couldn't get enough.

'Something shifts between us then as he looks across at me. His eyes are so full that it makes my heart skip a beat. I feel the same, so many emotions pouring out of me right now I don’t know what to do with them.'

This is the first book I've read by this author and I would read more. 5 stars.

This was such a fun and adorable read for me.

JT has recently transferred from his old high school to a new one, and lucky him—his cousin also attends the same school, so he has a good connection to the popular crowd. But then there's Quinn, the smartest and prettiest guy in school. The longing glances definitely aren’t one-sided, and when a teacher pairs JT and Quinn up for a project, I absolutely loved watching how everything unfolds.

JT's journey of self-discovery is truly beautiful to witness. His religious family is the main reason he initially hid his true self, but with the help of Quinn, his cousin, and remaining family, he really begins to blossom into something wonderful. His home life isn’t great, and he’s often neglected by his parents, but I was really pleased when, once the truth came out, they slowly started to come around. Things obviously didn’t change overnight, but it warmed my heart to see that they didn’t just reject him for loving who he loves. To me, that’s the real meaning of "unconditional love."

Quinn is such a sweet and understanding presence for JT. What starts as just some furtive glances quickly deepens into something more, and I found it so lovely to read.

Fast Break by Aria Brennan is a heartfelt, low-angst high school romance that brings together a basketball player and the school’s smartest kid in an emotional, tender journey. TJ and Quinn are paired for a school assignment, and their connection gradually deepens into a sincere, transformative love.

TJ struggles with strict, deeply religious and homophobic parents. His own mother and father have let him down so many times and their religious beliefs reject two men loving each other. Despite this, the novel remains hopeful, focusing on the power of connection, acceptance, and chosen family. He does have the love and support of his extended family—his cousin, aunt, uncle, and grandparents—highlighting the theme of chosen family and the importance of acceptance.

Quinn never expected to find a love so deep. Used to casual hookups, his growing bond with TJ challenges his assumptions and opens his heart in unexpected ways.

Sex is written about and described, but I think as the characters are only 18, the intimacy has been portrayed more through feelings rather than explicit scenes.

This is a beautifully written tale of first love.

This book is so beautifully wholesome, I can’t deal. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, so I had no idea what to expect. But oh my gosh it’s so good. JT is a sweetheart, that lived a sheltered life because of his parent’s religious beliefs. He hasn’t really had the opportunity to learn who he is and they’ve restricted his independence quite a bit. His parents are kind of awful, but all things considered, I’m glad the book wasn’t angsty. This book is positive, fun, and just so freakin sweet.

Quinn, sweet Quinn, is such a positive influence for JT. He knows who he is and is not afraid to be himself. He is supportive, understanding, and a safe place for JT to grow and thrive.

There are some intimate scenes throughout the book. They’re not explicit, but not quite black door either. Definitely not pearl clutching sexy times. I feel like the scenes add to the story and allow them to demonstrate their feelings for each other another way. It’s truly a beautiful book! Perfect if you’re looking for a break from the angst and super spice, or if those aren’t your cup of tea at all!

Thank you GRR and Aria for this ARC copy ✨🙌🏻

I loved this book so much, these two were the sweetest boys ever and they deserve so much.
From the pacing which honestly by the end of it I felt like I read 500 pages but it was barely 290 pages which blew my mind. The whole world, descriptions and characters were so well written that made you feel like you were part of it.

I really enjoyed how Quinn never made JT feel like he was less for being inexperienced compared to himself, the amount of times he explained and restrained himself to go slower so both of them could enjoy was the cutest.
Also, I liked how we didn’t get JT’s parents to be completely supportive of his sexuality, they’re religiously influenced and it’s okey as long as they don’t disrespect or dismiss his son or his boyfriend. It’s a realistic way to portray something that usually in books we see it as either the family disowns them and don’t talk anymore or have 180 change of mind and support them.

I love Quinn’s mom and her support of JT so much!!! Quinn was raised to be a such a sweet boy and that’s thanks to his mom who needs more praise!!! We love you momma D.❤️

I’m excited to see what Aria comes up with in the future!! 100% recommend

I read a ton of books and this one sits in the top five I have read this year. It was the perfect low angst romance book. Both main characters, JT and Quinn, are quite the polar opposites but the perfect match for one another. JT suddenly moves from his small town to the big city. He is shy and often feels unheard and abandoned by his family, but upon meeting the out and confident Quinn he suddenly feels heard. I love how JT realized he had feelings for Quinn when they had to be science class partners, and rather than run from those feelings he embraced them. His acceptance of his feelings was perfectly written, and I love how patient and supportive Quinn was of JT as JT naviaged those feelings. The perfect jock vs nerd book that left me smiling and my heart full. I want a sequel as this couple has so much story left in them. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review.

By the p55 I have read, for about million (or thereabouts!) times that JT was "cute and adorable" and I have seriously started to feel my teeth rapidly decaying from the sugar overdose.
Enough said.
Dropped. Again. Definitely? Maybe, or untilI come upon another rave review by a person I respect here....lol
NB I only now realized that this was a nerd/jock romance which is terribly miscast: Quinn is a nerd with every cliché jock attribute (confidence, strength, size, extrovert) while the jock JT is your typical nerd (shy, small etc). One is nerd because he's smart, the other one jock because he plays basket-ball. It is confusing but maybe the author did it on purpose in order to break away from clichés. I hope so..
