I love box sets. They are an inexpensive way to get to know new “to me” authors. Men of Calder County is a set of 13 stories un-connected except they all take place in Calder County, Texas. Mason is mentioned in Chase but other than that there is really no interaction between tales.

Calder County knows how to breed em. Hot, honorable and downright sexy alpha men who know how to get what they want. Because of the length of these stories there are a lot of second chance romance and instant chemistry stories. I think my favorite had to be Valentine by Heather Long. You have to love a story dedicated “For every woman who’s waited for her guy to stop being a bonehead.” Falcon is a “white knight” in a Stetson. David is a cowboy movie star who is out to get his leading lady. Jack may be the hottest guy in Texas but payback can be bliss. Just ask Falcon about Dizzy Izzy. There isn’t a bad story in the bunch.

I loved this box set. Usually with box sets there's only one or two you actually like this isn't the case with this set. All 13 authors draw you into their stories. I have added some of the author's books to my wish list. Hot, steamy sex. Strong characters and a story that makes you want more. I recommend this set to anyone that reads I really enjoyed it and know I'll be re-reading it again soon.

The stories in the Men of Calder County box set are about second chances; either with a lost love, a second chance of life or both. Each is very gratifying and they are all extremely unique and fresh. They are amazingly fulfilling, considering their length. Each author penned beautiful stories that can be read quickly and easily enjoyed.

The stories are filled to the brim with tales of heartbreak, pain, recovery, love, and passion. The amount of emotion that is written between the covers is astounding. My heart felt every emotion known. I cried at the loss of loved ones and from the raw emotions of the characters. I was angry at injustices, misunderstandings and the inhuman actions of others. I rejoiced when families found their way back home, when second chances were revealed and seized upon, and when the villains received their smack downs. I also laughed, sighed, swooned, and cheered. It’s amazing that one county in Texas can be so diverse, beautiful and heartwarming.

What a great assortment of cowboy stories. The authors did a phenomenal job with this collection and the storytelling was exceptional. Congratulations to all the authors on a great reading experience. I will be thinking of these amazing men for a long time.

Mac – Regina Carlysle – 5 Stars

Ms. Carlysle made me cry. Mac and Callie were separated by distance, and the death of Callie’s sister, Emma, sadly brings them back together.

Mac is a very heartbreaking emotional story, but it is still filled with love and reunion. It’s not just Emma’s death that got to my heart, but the whole story. Mac was a total gem, but now that I think about it, I wonder why he never manned up and took what he wanted…Callie.

I’m glad they finally found their happy ending. Amazing story Ms. Carlysle!

Rand – Ann Jacobs – 4 Stars

Two lovers torn apart by circumstance and their parents; neither knowing the whys of the situation, finally come back together after tragedy strikes. Can they rekindle what they once had?

YES. These two never slowed down once they reconnected. They knew the spark was not gone and thank goodness they didn’t mess around and got right to it.

I enjoyed the small mystery, but I will say the “disaster” was what I expected to be, but with a slight twist. I’m also glad that the involved parties were not who the fingers pointed to. This gave the story the ability to play out nicely and I see a happy future for these two. Rand is such a lovely story of true love, Ms. Jacobs. Well done.

Now tell me more about Tricia & her ex-husband. I can still feel a story there.

Brody - Samantha Cayto – 4.5 Stars

This is a very nice story of an older couple, with established lives, secrets and pasts.

Heather is in desperate need for a fresh start. Recently widowed and with her teenage son, she leaves Boston for Texas. Two totally different worlds, but she needs to get away from her past and to make a new future.

Brody is divorced and really didn’t think about anything beyond ranch life. But from the moment he meets Heather, he knows she is going to change his life forever.

Two lives brought together as one. Each bringing a bit of history and when they make their own future, they know how to honor the past.

What a wonderful story of second chances with love. They both had lackluster past relationships, but their future is so bright. I really enjoyed this amazing story of new love for an older couple.

Zeb – Ciana Stone – 5 Stars

Oh sweet young love. Willa had it bad for her brother’s friend Zeb, but he left without looking back. Now he is a Ranger, returning to a place he never wanted to return to…home. One look at Willa and things deep in him start to stir.

Before they can have their happy ending they have to deal with Zeb’s past, ex in-laws, drug runners, and the unthinkable. Will Zeb ever be Willa’s ever after?

HOLY COW! While the relationship was fast and the I love you’s seemed even faster, this was one hell of a story. I can honestly say that I did not expect Zeb to hit so hard, fast and thoroughly.

I can’t remember ever reading a short story/novella that had so much story and action. Zeb was very gripping and extremely well written. I’m completely floored. This is one amazing compact little story.

David – Lynn LaFleur – 4 Stars

What a nice change of pace. Even though we expect cowboys, cowboys, cowboys, Ms. LaFleur throws us for a loop and delivers a different kind of cowboy. David is actor returning home to Texas to film a motion picture. Kristina is a music star hoping to get her big break in movies.

While the mystery was weak for me, I loved the two main characters interaction. Great chemistry and I truly loved the change of pace. It was perfect timing and a welcome break. Ms. LaFleur did a fantastic job breathing a breath of fresh air into this box set. Loved it!!

Rayne – Lacey Thorn – 4 Stars

Ever believe in love/lust at first sight. Well Rayne and Darcy have each been told that when the right one came along they would know. With Rayne’s laid back ways and Darcy’s love to travel these two have lots to deal with, but after reading their story, my heart knows, that fate and destiny have looked upon these two.

Rayne is a whirlwind story of their time together, but when something is right you just have to go with it, and did they ever.

Wade – Kristin Daniels – 5 Stars

When I first read the blurb, my first thought was “WOW, those are some mighty big boots to fill”.

Well Ms. Daniels blew it outta the water. This little story was filled to the brim and flowed over. She got it all in and it’s one sweet package. This story had it all, action, adventure, romance and passion. Extremely well done!

Valentine – Heather Long – 4.5 Stars

Valentine has been wrong by the people who meant the most to him. When things looked their worst he also shoved the one woman away that would have always been there for him. Now he is home to take care of his ailing mother, he is once again face to face with the woman that used to be his world.

Becky only loved one man and he is the biggest ass in Calder County. After his time away, not much has changed other than the size of the chip on his shoulder. Well Becky has a job to do and she is not going to allow Valentine to get in the way. Too bad her heart has a mind of its own.

All I have to say is the Becky is a bigger woman than I am. Valentine would have hit the curb a long time ago. What we have here is a great second chance at love story. Well most of the stories so far have been, but this one is a HUGE second chance.

Ms. Long has written a fantastic story with little gems of discovery along the way. In the end, Valentine received his second chance and he proved he was a man worth the time and effort.

Jack – Tilly Greene – 4 Stars

Jack is another fun twist to the cowboy story. This story revolves around a retired baseball player and a second generation Russian. Throw in a loan shark asking for alternate payments and you get a bit of good old boy Calder County country payback. Really fun times!

Good story, but I needed to know more about why Jack felt the way he did. That nagging in my mind was distracting, but all in all this is a very good story. Rina is a wonderful woman. Her heart is full of family, friends and love. There were times I wish she would have made Jack work a bit more, but as a whole I really enjoyed this story.

I do hope Ms. Greene writes about Sean and Cindy’s romance I’m very intrigued and want more of their past, present and future.

Falcon – Ruth D. Kerce – 4 Stars

Falcon’s story added a bit of fun. Izzy never left his mind, but when he returned to Bounty, he didn’t expect her to still be there and for his feelings to still be strong.

Izzy stayed in Bounty for her parents and now she stays for her farm. She loves the place and everything it stands for. Life was sweet until the new Sheriff comes to town. Too bad Falcon is all she can think of.

Two people who gave up on their relationship are now having to reevaluate their present and future. Danger is all around them, but is it Izzy and her crazy ways or something more sinister.

I loved Izzy’s quirkiness and Falcon’s weak attempt at trying to avoid her. Ms. Kerce threw in a little mischief and mayhem to spice this up and the twist she threw in – I never seen it coming. Great job Ms. Kerce!

Flint – Fran Lee – 5 Stars

Flint is a man dedicated to his ranch and Lily is a woman with nowhere to go. Thrown together by a rash decision, Flint sees a woman in need of protection and Lily only wants to get out of the state and away from the horrors of her life.

Flint is a wonderful man, plain and simple. He takes care of what he possesses and he wants Lily. There is something about her. All Lily sees in her future is fear. One glimpse at what Flint has to offer and she is torn. She knows he is a dream come true, but she doesn’t want to drag him into her nightmare.

There is no way that was not a novel. It had it all. I loved every word about Flint and Lily. The story had depth, romance, hot sex, and action. Very well rounded and extremely fulfilling. AMAZING!!

Mason – Gayle Donnelly – 4.5 Stars

Mason is a story about beating round the bush. Momma plays matchmaker on the sly, so does Grandpa, not to mention Mason trying to hide from the present and Melanie is still living deeply in the past. It takes something potentially big to open up Melanie’s eyes, but when she finally does she will hold on for dear life.

I really enjoyed Mason and what a fun teen and an even better man. Melanie has issues, but she earned every single one of them. Meddlesome relatives have never been cuter. Mason is a great story and I can’t remember smiling so much. The story was absolutely delightful, but the epilogue was the icing on the cake. I’m so very happy Ms. Donnelly gave a peek at their future.

Chase – Robyn Mackenzie – 4 Stars

Yeah! There have been several couples in this box set that I wished had their tales told. I’m so very happy that Ms. Mackenzie did just that with Chase.

Chase and his brother Conner were mentioned in Mason’s story. Even though there wasn’t a budding romance mentioned, I loved how Ms. Mackenzie incorporated their stories and introduced Melanie’s best friend Shay.

I so enjoyed their story. I loved how Conner was sneaky and mischievous with their reunion. He was darn cute. I also enjoyed how the sparks flew off the page and Chase didn’t mess around and went after his girl.

While the story was fun to read, I felt heartbroken about all the time they lost. While the timing may not have been right, the years they wasted was painful to read about. It would have been fun to have Chase have to work a little harder at repairing what they lost, but all in all it was a great story.

I do have one question. What was in the second letter?

A boxed set full of sexy and hot blooded cowboys, where do I sign up? One thing I appreciate about boxed sets is I get to read authors I’ve read and enjoyed before but I also get to discover some new authors. Whether he goes down hard, easy, or somewhere in between, one thing is for certain there is nothing quite like a cowboy falling in love and The Men of Calder County make for some mighty fine entertaining and sexy reading!

Mac by Regina Carlysle 4.5 stars
You have to love a hero who sees the woman he once dated as a teen struggling and vows to make her life better. There was history between Callie Murphy and Mac Bonner and while there was hurt many years ago they’ve been able to maintain a friendship but when Mac steps in to help Callie through one of the toughest times in her life he shows he’s made of sterner stuff. Because they had a history, the attraction between them was still there yet Mac gave Callie time to accept their changing relationship and to deal with her hardship all while going above and beyond to help. There was truly something special about Mac and the way he stepped into Callie’s life to help her regroup and give her niece and nephew a better life. While I would have loved a longer story, I was very satisfied with the ending. A hero who defines the word, a heroine who has always taken care of everyone finally finds someone who wants to take care of her, two precious children, and a love story years in the making made Mac one excellent romance.

Rand by Ann Jacobs 3 stars
Teenage sweethearts are reunited when Rand Sanders must notify Lily Allen that her father had been shot on his ranch and is in critical condition. Lily was sent away from the ranch by her foreman father after their teenage affair was discovered. Years later neither Rand nor Lily understand why she was sent to live with her aunt and being back together again only reinforces the feelings they once shared. I enjoyed this story for the most part but at one point if did kind of take on an ick factor that was later discovered was untrue. However I didn’t really feel an overpowering connection between the two and really kind of wondered if they truly had missed each other so much while they hadn’t tried to reconnect sooner since she hadn’t moved that far away. I live in Texas and yes, I know the illegal alien issue is a hot topic but to be honest I read romance to escape so having it be so prevalent in this story really kind of turned me off.

Brody by Samantha Cayto 5 stars
Wow! I really loved the whirlwind romance between Brody Chambers and Heather McNichols in this story. Brody being divorced and Heather being a widow they have some life experiences between them and some not pretty. From the very beginning their attraction was evident and only got steamier the more time they spent together. I feel I must mention Heather’s 15 year old son who was at that age between being a surly teenager and a sweet young man but he also added some comic relief at times and even offered insight and advice that was entertaining. As this is a novella the relationship progress rapidly however I didn’t feel cheated because they simply didn’t play games and weren’t afraid to admit their feelings; it really was a breath of fresh air. While Heather has some issues from her past to resolve and Brody is glad to provide back-up, I love that he let her handle her own business. Most of all I flat out loved that Ms. Cayto gave the readers a VERY satisfying epilogue. Well done!

Zeb by Ciana Stone 4 stars
I’ve always loved stories of unrequited love and Zeb by Ciana Stone is a prime example why. Zebediah (Zeb) Childress returns to the town he was raised after his Texas Rangers cover was blown while working in conjunction with the DEA. The last thing he expects is to find Willa Hale, the little sister of his childhood best friend, all grown up and having issues with her late husband’s family especially when he finds out who that family is. Willa had a crush on Zeb from the first day her brother brought him home and if she’s honest, she never quite got over it so when he re-enters her life she has a hard time reigning in her hormones but she is not alone. I enjoyed this story quite a bit; there was a bit of suspense, some very good background character development, and some supreme sexiness. At one point I thought I was going to have to hunt Ms. Stone down for pulling what I like to call a “Nicholas Sparks” but she saved it with a nicely done epilogue.

David by Lynn LaFluer 4.0 stars
Music sensation Kristina Thompson is headed to Calder County in Texas to film her first movie role when she finds out not only is her leading man David Dunning the Hollywood hunk she’s enamored with but the movie will be filmed on location at his family’s ranch. While nervous about her first starring role the nervousness she feels about meeting and sharing love scenes with David is way more than she ever expected. David is immediately attracted to his new co-star but as his last four lovers have been viciously murdered he doesn’t want to put her in jeopardy. The more he gets to know her the more he wants her and when convinced they are safe on his family’s land he decides to take a chance. While this book and David and Kristina’s relationship moves at a rapid pace there is no denying their instant attraction because their intimate scenes are H-O-T!! I did think the couple reached the “I Love You” stage a little too soon even with the life threatening incident that prompted it. That being said I very much enjoyed David and Kristina’s story.

Rayne by Lacey Thorn 4.5 stars
Damn I love a story where there is instant lust on both sides and the reader feels it the minute the couple lays eyes on one another. From across the room at a party Rayne Renwick sees Darcy Beaumont and can’t take his eyes off of her so when she approaches he’s compelled to invite her to visit his ranch. These two go from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye but for some reason in this story, with this couple it works and their sexy moments…wow! Take my word for it you are going to want your significant other or your Bob nearby after reading this story. While Darcy has had wanderlust due to an incident in her young teenage life after spending time with Rayne she begins to see the appeal of staying put close to home and Rayne suddenly begins to think his Comanche ancestor Noconah had it right when he kidnapped the woman who became his wife. This book ends with a HFN ending which is appropriate for the length of the story and I was one highly satisfied reader in many ways.

Wade by Kristin Daniels 5 stars
Holy cow author Kristin Daniels packed a whole lot of punch into this novella. Suspense, action, back-story, and lots of steamy make-up sex. Cassidy Harding left behind Wade Black to take a job as a nanny that would allow her to travel overseas. While she loved the job, she freely admits she missed Wade and probably would have stayed behind had he asked. Now accused of shooting her brother by a local law enforcement officer on a goon’s payroll, Cassidy has no choice but to ask Wade and his sister for help. This book moved fast and a lot happens in a short time however one thing that was for certain was the feelings between Cassidy and Wade were stronger than ever. I loved how Wade jumped in to help Cassidy and the fact that Cassidy apologized for the way she left Wade even though he realizes it was something she needed to do at the time. These are two people who are brought back together by unfortunate circumstances but neither one wants to play games, they simply want to prove to each other they still feel something. I am simply amazed by everything that took place in this pint sized book and I applaud Ms. Daniels for writing a novella that reads like a full length book.

Valentine by Heather Long 4.5 stars
Oh how I love a stubborn ass hero and Valentine McQueen defines the word stubborn. Home to look after his dying mother after 7 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Val has a chip on his shoulder the size of the state of Texas. The last person he expects to see working his family’s ranch and taking care of his mother is the woman he treated so badly after his arrest and incarceration, Becky Cooper. Two things he figures out right away; his mother is way worse off than he imagined and he still wants Becky even though he knows he’s no good for her. I really loved the interaction between Val and Becky because it proved that even after years apart there is still something between them even though Becky vows nothing is going to happen. A vow that is broken rather quickly because the passion between them burns so brightly. Val’s Mom, Sara, is a delight because she just flat out speaks her mind and when she does people listen. She just simply doesn’t take no for an answer and expects compliance with her wishes. Val has a lot to sort out after doing time for a “friend” who didn’t help him when the case went to trial. Becky pushes Val into seeing the way things are from a different angle something that both angers him and makes him realize she cares a whole lot more than she wants to admit. Ms. Long did an excellent job of creating an interesting scenario complete with background story, a rekindled romance, and a little bit of conflict making this an entertaining novella.

Jack by Tilly Greene 4 stars
I enjoyed this novella for the fact that the hero and heroine had a one night stand years ago that led to a pregnancy scare and an immediate end to anything. Rina Toborov is back home to help her parent following her father’s stroke. Seeing Jack Murphy again in his family’s bar sets her hormones ablaze but she knows nothing is going to happen as they want very different things out of life. But when she is threatened by some men her father owes money to Jack steps in to help. He also manages to convince her to give him another chance and a whole lot more. I liked this story but my one gripe, there was a side story going on with Jack’s brother, Sean and Rina’s friend, Cindy that just seemed to overshadow this book. I’m sure there’s a book about what happens with them but the constant mention of them in this story had me wondering more about them and caring less about the couple I was reading about. While I enjoyed this story I would have liked an epilogue to finalize a few things like if Rina’s father recovered fully and how Rina and Jack were faring in their new relationship.

Falcon by Ruth D. Kerce 4.5 stars
This was a really good story for a number of reasons; the hero and heroine had a history, the heroine refused to let gossip and innuendo make her change the way she lived, and the hero’s family history was very interesting and something I hope to read more about soon. That being said there was a little bit of suspense, some mystery, and some really hot and heavy lovin’ as well making this one well rounded novella. Izzy Anderson’s first everything was with Falcon Savage and then his career ambitions tore them apart. He’s back in bounty as sheriff and she’s got some big time problems going on at her ranch; problems he soon begins to realize are of a personal nature. I always love when an author can pack a decent plot into a novella and author Ruth D. Kerce did just that in this story. While the town believes Izzy is a little crazy, Falcon know she is just herself, the same woman he once loved and one who would never do anything to harm an animal. While his mind knows that keeping his distance is a wise move to keeping his job, his body and heart have other thoughts and they soon win out. Their sexy times were passionate and hot and proved that time and distance hadn’t erased the feelings they once had. A well written, well thought out story with one hell of an epilogue that answered all my questions. Awesome job!

Flint by Fran Lee 4 stars
It’s hard not to enjoy a story that starts with a man finding a woman sneaking in and hiding in his hotel room especially when it is obvious from the start that the woman has been beaten and the man would like nothing more than to beat the person that did it. Flint Calderon was just trying to rest after tangling with a saddle bronc when he knows he has company in his hotel room but he is surprised when a young woman takes a few well placed strikes at him until he realizes she’s been hurt badly and knows he wants to protect her. Lily Thomas wants nothing more than to get to a big city, find a job and earn enough money to get the hell out of Texas but then she met Flint and her life began to change big time. I’ll admit it is often hard for me to buy a whirlwind romance story when a couple has no previous relationship but for some reason I was easily caught up in this story. Flint is one of those heroes that you can’t help but adore; he is patient, kind, and willing to go the extra mile to help a woman in need. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t want Lily because he freely admits he does, but he’s not going to take something that is not offered. The last 8 years of Lily’s life have been a nightmare caused by her abusive step-father which has left her with little trust for men but there is something about Flint that makes her want to trust him almost immediately. I enjoyed watching their interactions from the first time they meet until the very end, it was evident they were meant to be together. Exciting and dramatic this book was also emotional and sexy making it a skillfully written story.

Mason by Gayle Donnelly 4.5 stars
I do so love an author who can make me laugh as well as write supreme sexiness with a realistic plot to boot and author Gayle Donnelly has done that and packed it all into a novella. Melanie left Texas after losing her parents, her beloved grandmother, and after a sexual encounter that obviously meant more to her than the boy she had it with. She’s been back several times to check in on her grandfather but that boy, now man Mason has never been around when she’s there. Now she’s headed home for three weeks because her grandfather’s assistant claims he’s not doing well and she knows she’s bound to run into the man who broke her heart as he’s now a local police officer and her grandfather’s assistant’s son. I do so love a story of love lost and found again and this story is that and more. Mason and Melanie were kids back when they parted 8 years ago with Mason feeling he wasn’t good enough for the likes of a girl headed off to college and with dreams of being a veterinarian and Melanie feeling like she couldn’t bear to lose one more person in her life she cared about. Spending time together again rekindles old feelings but also brings back the fear of being left once again. I liked that there was some doubt of how fast they were moving and that their relationship didn’t fall right into place all tied up in a nice package with a pretty bow. Melanie has some issues and it takes some strong words, some time and a scare to finally make her see that the life she’s been living really isn’t a life at all. I met this author a couple of years ago and she is such a lovely person and I’m glad she finally wrote a contemporary story for me to read!

Chase by Robyn Mackenzie 4.5 stars
Well hello Robyn Mackenzie and welcome to the world of contemporary romance and by the way when can I get Connor’s story? Sorry but yeah, this reader gets a wee bit obsessive about secondary characters so you’ve been warned!
Ten years ago on the night of their high school graduation Chase Collier broke Shay Davison’s heart and now she’s back in Lockhart to open her dream business and hoping Chase will continue working in his company’s San Antonio office so she doesn’t have to see him too often. What she doesn’t know is Connor, Chase’s younger brother, and the man who’s helped renovate her loft and business has other plans (I do so love meddling relatives) and she soon comes face to face with the man she’s always wanted. There is something special about two people who wanted each other so fiercely but never really did anything about it then an incident occurs that sends one fleeing and both always thinking about the “one that got away.” Forced back together and finding time to actually get to know one another Chase and Shay discover that reality is so much better than the fantasies they both had as teenagers especially when their attraction becomes physical. While there are forces that would like nothing more than to break them apart they both realize that the past is in the past and they would like nothing more than to move forward with each other. Unrequited love finally realized makes for one hell of a story especially when both parties are mature and willing to own up to their feelings. It’s really hard not to love a couple who wants nothing more than to be in love with each other. Well done!
Thirteen novellas of life and love in the hill country of Texas, what’s not to enjoy? Interesting characters and sexy stories make The Men of Calder County a supreme boxed set. I guarantee you’ll find more than one hot man that you’ll adore.

I really enjoyed this set of short stories. I really think this era of ebooks really needs a better set of content editors though. Every book I've read seems to have some minor error. Mason in this series had a large one though. In one scene he removes her panties but he slides the panty out of his way when he enters her. How could he do that when he just took them off of her. Did y'all catch that? The proof readers are doing a lousy job these days. I'm guessing they're just using spell check and calling it good.

Wow! This was an awesome boxed set full of amazing stories by 13 different authors. All of the stories were beautifully written and had me fall in love with the hero and heroine and made me wish I was living in Calder County. All of the stories were very sexy and some of them touched me deeply and brought me to tears. I love when an author can write scenes that affect me so deeply and Regina Carlysle and Ciana Stone wrote some very emotional scenes that just blew me away. I loved that the main theme of the stories were about past loves reuniting and finally getting their happily ever after. I was able to discover authors that I've never read before and I would definitely read their stuff again. I would highly recommend this boxed set to all romance readers.

This set of thirteen stories is set in of course Calder County, Texas. Here is the setting of different authors who colaborated to bring us some really good stories, and a couple so-so ones. Overall I enjoyed them all. Each was a stand alone and complete story. Each man/woman had to overcome angst in their lives to be able to freely love the other. I read this book thur Kindle Unlimited and will look at buying the set at a later date so that I can reread those stories I trully enjoyed the most.

Urgh! Plot holes, horrible grammar. (Mine might not be great, but I'm not charging you anything to read That I wrote.) A couple of the stories were enjoyable, if implausible, but lousy editing and inattention to MAJOR details finally beat me to a bloody pulp and I surrender. The good news is, I only paid .99 cents, the bad news is, that was .99 cents I could have spent someplace else.

I really enjoyed this box set of 15 short stories. This type of entertaining stories is great
to read in between longer books, and when time is short.
I can say I enjoyed all the stories and discovered new authors to read.

I liked some or the stories

But some of them just didn't thrill me much. I suppose I am not a short story reader. I like to grow an attachment to characters and it's nearly impossible in short tales.

Great collection

I truely enjoyed all of these stories. They are all different types of hero's and their situations vary, but the trend of a lifetime of love is through out. A great collection of short stories.

Men of Calder County review

Men of Calder County is a boxed set of 13 books about modern day cowboys. It's an excellent read by quality authors. And it's a great deal.
