Rebel, Mason and Harley grew up watching their parents run the Renegade Rebels Motorcycle Club. But when Harley's little sister, Rebel, is ripped out of their lives after a fiery gunfight on her twelfth birthday, her brother and his best friend think they'll never see her again. Seven years later, the men are running the MC and Rebel comes riding back into their lives in a whirlwind explosion of trouble, mischief and forbidden temptation.
Rebel is not the little girl who left them. Nineteen years old and made of sensuous curves, she proves too tempting for smoldering Mason to resist. He knows he's risking the wrath of his MC president best friend by falling for his sister. But she's worth the risk.
When Rebel interferes with club business, all hell breaks loose and they are thrown deep into a danger so dark and sinister that their very survival is against all odds.
This is a great story. It's edgy absolutely d I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The heat between Rebel and Mason is off the chart! They captured me from the start and I was happy when Mason decided he didn't care what his best friend thought Rebel was his no matter what if she was Harley's sister. I would love to see more about this club and more about Harley and the other members of the club.
Rebel burst back on the scene of her home town like a grenade. But the best kind. Told from hers, Mason's, and Harley's POV, made this interesting to follow along. With lots of danger and suspense, I couldn't put this book down. Ms. Palomino is one of my all-time favorite authors and she even throws in a great short story at the end.
Saving Rebel was my one freebie for February from Amazon and it was pretty much just a quick and fairly easy to read light MC romance with a touch of club illegal business thrown in for excitement. Rebel was 12 when she was separated from her big brother Harley (parents were sent to prison) and placed in foster care. Now she returns home to him at 19 (after suffering abuse at the hands of her foster family and having lived on the streets for a year) and he is the President of their father's club, while his best friend Mason is his VP. Mason is shocked to find out the gorgeous stunner is the little girl they haven't seen in 7 years and when they cross a line and get down and dirty, it sets off a whole chain of events that threaten all of their lives and positions in the world of drug dealing. I liked this book well enough but just wished it had more substance and was not so "light" a read. It could have been much better if the characters were fleshed out and the action not so fast and predictable. Unlike other MC romances, there was not much interaction at the clubhouse or mean girls fighting over a man...it was pretty tame and civil. Good if you like bikers with a sensitive side =)
So much potential... I am debating in my mind about what to rate this book, either a 2 or a 3.
I thought the story had an interesting story line. Rebel the little sister of Harley returns from being in a foster home, to find her brother is president of the MC and His bestfriend Mason being the VP.
Some parts of the story were actually really good. Yet there were parts that were very annoying. For an example, when they were speaking Spanish you have no clue what they were saying. Other parts were set up,for a good backstory such as her experience at the foster home.Unfortunately it was quickly mentioned and forgotten. I was eagerly awaiting the boys to go and track down the foster parents for an ass whooping. Miss opportunity for us as readers.
Oh and the ending Seriously, what is up with that.
This story it says it's 300+ pages. The setting on the size of the font is at 6 on my kindle Huge a paragraph a page. I had to put it to 1 for it to be normal. So if you read this at a normal font it is less then 1/2 of the 300 pages.
Unfortunately, the heroine of this book was childish, selfish and lacking in ambition. I kept hoping that she would grow up a little and want to do something productive other than have sex on the back of a bike of her childhood crush. Even after a tumultuous childhood with horrible foster parents you'd think that she could do more than get her lover shot as he attempted her rescue. This book was really not worth the price and time wasted reading--disappointing!
This is one of the worst MC books I have read. They did not talk like bikers, much less act like bikers... Maybe ones without a club & patch. When it came to getting Rebel back, why did they let Sergio walk out with the drugs? Harley should have kept him there until Sergio's guys found her, made an even trade and kept the drugs once again. This had the potential to be a good book, but failed.
This is a great story. It's just like I like my MC books, it is edgy but isn't so hardcore you feel like a felon reading it! Lol the heat between Rebel and Mason is off the chart! They captured me from the start!! I want to see more about this club and more about Harley, Rebels brother and president of the club. Can't wait for more!
I liked this book, but I hated the ending. I wanted more out of the ending. Will there be a part 2 or second book picking up where this one left off??I want to see Harley find love and Maverick. This is my 5th book I have read by Honey and it's better than a few of the others but I think it could of been better with a different ending.
I was like reading this book and loving it. Then it just stopped at 66%. End of story. Not sure if there is going to be a part 2 because it did not say at the end. But the story could have been much more. This could be a 5 star book to me but will only give a 3 because of ending.
I liked this book but the ending didn't do it for me I wanted more I loved the bonus story it was quick and to the point but this story just need a bit more but I did like the story line x
