Sherman trilogy, Free is in for a rude awakening as many alliances have been formed and just as many has been broken....
This sounds more like a casual conversation than a novel. I appreciate the ending despite the greed and selfishness of the main character. He was so disrespectful and unappreciative that I couldn't really get into the story. He doesn't strike me as a don; but a kid playing games in a man's world. The fact that he got his hands dirty is a tell all. I also found it interesting that no one grew weary of his awkward speeches. Sometimes he came across as a coach, other times a snot-nosed kid with something to prove. How could you make two kids orphans; bc their dad was a pretty boy with jokes?
