All computer / technical books technical books should be written as well. Unfortunately, very few are. Code snippets were illuminating and the charts, in particular the class diagrams, were excellent and not, unlike so many other books, just an excuse to pad the page count.

This giant tomb cost me fortune in days when Swing was heralded as the next big thing in GUI programming. Swing being swing, not a great read.
