I received a free Audible copy of Pbi Case Files Bundle 1 from the author in exchange for my honest review.

While I didn't get into the series right off the bat, it did quickly draw me in and once I was hooked, I was hooked. It's a series with danger and mystery that doesn't end up being dark. There are love, friendship, and entertaining moments to lighten it to a point that you shouldn't think it's very dark at all. The series includes a plethora of paranormal beings including, but not limited to, vampires, shifters (bear specifically), Amazons, demi-gods, gods/goddesses, and telepaths. The variety adds a lot of life to the story with the characters largely not being of the same species/race as one another. The main characters are Sarah (human) and her sister, Frankie (human) as well as Fang/Luke (bear shifter) and Devon (vampire). Sarah and Frankie find themselves thrust into a world beyond their imaginings (either that or death). Thus, they both join the PBI (as humans). As the series progresses, circumstances dictate actions that result in Sarah and Frankie no longer being your average humans (and neither of them is very happy about it!). The interplay between these four main characters and the others (such as Karma and Jasmine) that make regular appearances is never boring. As I said before, the books are not dark so, while there hasn't been a HEA ending yet, it is coming. We just need to have a little faith in the characters and their ability to move past adversity. Each of the books ends in a cliffhanger (which isn't a big deal for books 1-3, but stinks when you reach the end of book 4, obviously). I would recommend this to any PNR lovers who like a clean romance (sex and language, so far) romance that is an adventure and a lot of fun to listen to (or read). Needless to say, I am most definitely interested in listening to Bundle 2!

"Lost Plane" is episode 3 in the PBI Case Files by Jami Brumfield and it continues the story of Sarah and Frankie and the Paranormal Bureau of Investigations. Frankie is continuing her studies for Forensics and fighting her attraction for Devon. Sarah is learning to accept her new abilities and finds out how she got them. In this episode the team heads out to discover how a plane full of passengers can just disappear in thin air . With the involvement of Aliens Bureau of Investigations, FBI, and PBI they unravel a much larger plot brewing.

As I've said from the beginning of these episodes... they are perfect for TV. This is like watching a tv show with your mind instead of your eyes. Always leaves me wanting to watch... I mean read more!

We continue our journey with Franki and Sarah in their new roles in the PBI and their budding relationships with Fang and Devon in part 3 of this awesome series. We have a new mystery to solve, new players are introduced and a story line twist that throws off everything you thought you knew about this plot. Ms. Brumfield weaves a magical world with exciting mysteries and likable characters. This is a quick , enjoyable read and I wonder if we were fed a red haring redirecting our focus from something she did not want us to see. I look forward to the next stop on this magical journey and can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Never disappointed when I read these episodes! Twisted plots with wide variety of characters in many scenarios handling normal and paranormal situations that either make me smile or shudder! Jami Brumfield knows how to write a page turner! Her stories are suitable for Tweens to adult readers. These will make an amazing boxed set when completed!

Loved the newness of the mix of alien and werewolves and the future. The story kept me guessing. I listened to the audio and it was a little hard to picture a tough guy with such a feminine voice. I had to get past that before I could get into the story.
