This story is equal parts taboo temptation and emotional unraveling. Will and Levi’s dynamic had me hooked from the first page.
Will’s slow descent into submission, his confusion, shame, and growing hunger to be seen and touched—it’s raw.

Will & Levi were so much fun to experience! Just to get really out of your head for a bit, read some taboo smut, and just leave your morals at the door. Father’s Day just got SPICY. My only complaint? It wasn’t long enough 😂 maybe a Christmas bonus scene? Maybe an entire full length 500 page novel?! I’d take it all!
Will is having a bit of crisis lately, he’s been experimenting with himself but nothing is scratching his itch. His son Levi is due to come home to “adult” and the tension between these two quickly snaps.
Levi is determined to provoke his daddy into letting him help him experience true pleasure like he never has before and Will is obviously hesitant and convinced he’s going to hell 🙃 but Levi is really good at talking him off the ledge.
I loved this spicy short, and these two were just so much fun together! Everything seemed really natural for them, and I can only imagine what they got up too in the future, maybe we’ll find out one day! 👀

Oh my fucking hell—this book?? THIS BOOK. Nova Burns came out swinging and delivered the dirtiest, hottest, most deliciously taboo novella I’ve read in ages. 🥵🔥
The second I heard Levi calling his dad a pet name, I was DONE. Me: already obsessed and giggling like a little gremlin. 😈
While I’m already feral for brothers who kiss (like, hello?? 😮💨), my little taboo-loving heart is now fully addicted to the “we shouldn’t but we must” energy of father/son taboo. And Will & Levi? Perfect examples of this. Levi’s in full forbidden-dom mode, while Will (his dad, yep, you read that right) is newly discovering he wants to bottom and that women just aren’t doing it for him anymore. 😳✨
The push and pull?? The “I want you, but it’s wrong” angst?? Gave me all the tingles and thrills and I could NOT look away. Every scene had me like 👀💦

This is the first book by this author that I have read. There are very few authors that write “tab.00” books and do it well. I’m always a little skeptical at first, but I can say I was not disappointed with this book.
Daddy’s Awakening is exactly what the title suggests. If you do not like tab.00 stories, do us all a favor and don’t read them. However, if you want like to walk on the wild side occasionally or always, you will definitely enjoy this book.

I’ve been loving her books, but this one was a little bit average for me. I don’t know… I just didn’t love it.
With this first book, it felt like there wasn’t really a strong connection. It leaned more into that primal vibe instead of something deeper, and I think that’s what threw me off.
BUT… I read the second book right after, and omg that one?? Completely different experience. I was giggling, laughing, feeling EVERYTHING. So yeah, you don’t really get that as much in this first one, but if you like the characters, I highly recommend continuing bc the second book is so worth it.
For me, this one is a 3⭐️. I wasn’t really into the nicknames here, they just weren’t doing it for me. And the spicy scenes… yeah, I don’t have hard limits or anything, but that specific thing just isn’t really my thing.
That said, I did like how everything was written and how they interacted with each other.
I LOVE Levi. Like, I love him so much. And Will too. I love that Will is the older one but he’s so submissive, like a little puppy, it’s actually so cute. And Levi being the younger one but super dominant?? Yeah, I ate that up.
I also loved how bold Levi was. He was all in from the start, like “I want this and I’m gonna get it,” no hesitation. He really carried that energy in the relationship, and I liked that a lot.
But yeah, overall I liked it, just didn’t love it.

Holy inferno, Nova! I was so excited to read this that I abandoned other ARCs to completely scarf down this book and what a deliciously filthy feast it was! Seriously, girl! There's no slow lead up to the good stuff - nope, you just slide in, full speed, tires squealing, full-on war cry, and the resounding echo of "Take it, Dad! Take your son's fist!" reverberating through the air!
Will and Levi's relationship is sexual tension at its best. Will agonizes so beautifully over his desire for his son, Levi - who refuses to give his dad even an inch of leeway. I think it worth noting that Levi was attracted to his dad before he went off to Uni, but never acted on it, and is a full adult coming back into his dad's life. Will has been going through a true sexual identity crisis and finds that it's not just as simple as whether or not he's actually gay, but also that he can only envision one man - and that's his son! There's also a very definite Dom/sub power exchange going on and that's part of how/why these two work so well.
As for the actual kinks explored: Fisting and rosebudding have never been high on my kink lists but you actually made them both smexy hot and also kind of sweet - in a "son takes care of his dad with proper prep and concern", while also rearranging his insides at the same time! I mean, who else can do this!
This is definitely one hot taboo story and if you can take the heat then I highly recommend this one!

That last visit has sparked something in Levi as he didn't see his dad in a fatherly figure any more 😏 Flash forward to now he has graduated and needs a place to stay and daddy dearest is his go to. So what happens when you have a Forced Proximity situation with a hot daddy and said hot daddy is having an awaking of his own....this book 🤣..this book is exactly what happens!

I love a 'cesty story with the push/pull of "I want it but I just can't do it" and this story started off decently with that. I can't really put my finger on it but I needed more...something. It's like as soon as the dad gave the OK it was full fist ahead and I wanted it to slow down a bit and give me more visualizable details.
“Deeper, son. I want to feel you in my belly.” Levi gives me more. I feel my insides shift as he goes to a space no one has ever been before. I look between my legs to see half of his forearm buried inside of me.This almost hit but fell just a bit short for me. Still hot and worth a read.

This definitely delivered on what was promised in the blurb. It's a bit over the top and ridiculous but it was also funny, steamy, and cute in parts! All the nicknames Levi thought of for Will were very cute lol.

Ok I love some taboo but this one may have been a bit too much for me? I still finished it as it was only about 80 pages but I kept having to take breaks.

Levi is such a tease, and I love his almost aggressive approach in going after his father. There's such great chemistry between him and his dad, and Will is so eager to dive into his newly discovered love of things up his ass and being a size queen. All the nicknames and pet names Levi gives Will are so cute too, and it's funny how many he can come up with.
Even though Levi starts flirting from the beginning, we don't get any relationship progress from family to romantic until the middle. It's not as much spice as I thought, but the few scenes there are, are very hot and kinky since Will is a greedy bottom and Levi is great at dirty talk and trying to get Will off.
You can also tell there's a huge improvement in writing from the author's previous works. Even though this is short, it's paced out very well, didn't feel rushed or too short, and it felt like a fleshed out novella.

This book was HOT!!! Oh my goodness. There’s just something about daddy’s first times that always get me. The kinks here were on point and I could read hundreds of pages more of these two. Hope we get to see them again because I’m still thinking about them weeks later.

This story is certainly steamy but is also under developed and doesn't build up much character development. So while it was interesting and a decent read, it had the potential to be more. Although as an emerging writer, this is a good start! Definitely a quick and hot read.
