ONE naughty night. TWO pink lines. THREE off-limits hockey gods.

You can get a lot done in the back of a Jeep for a big, hard, bad reason… you just have to arch your back.

My job with the Marauders is my world, and I know better than to mix business with pleasure.
But Ambrose—the broody new guy—made me forget my own name while he showed me exactly how to handle his stick shift.

Then Braden—the heartbeat of the team—used his cocky Irish charm to leave me breathless.
And when Reggie—the rough and rugged enforcer—made his move, I was begging for more.

Now these three legends say they’ll go to battle for me. For us.
I trust they’re going to protect our juicy little secret.

Except I have news that’s about to send my slap shot daddies into overtime.
I’m pregnant. With their TRIPLETS.

Slap Shot Daddies is a standalone MFMM why choose romance. Get ready for this off-limits, surprise pregnancy, hockey romance packed with filthy heat and fierce protectors. No swords cross, but the hockey sticks sure do. Ultra swoony HEA.

Okay, deep breath… I was not prepared for this level of filthy fun and heart-squeezing sweetness. Slap Shot Daddies by Summer James took me on an absolute rollercoaster of lust, laughter, and a whole lotta love—and yes, I read it in one sitting, blushing the whole dang time.

From the second I met Ambrose, Braden, and Reggie, I knew I was in trouble—the best kind. Ambrose, with that broody “I’ll ruin you gently” vibe? Obsessed. Braden, with his cocky Irish charm and that easy swagger? Yes, please. And Reggie? That rough, dominant edge wrapped in loyalty? Panting. There is something about how different they all are—and how perfectly they fit together with the heroine—that just had me hooked and fully in my feels.
And y’all… the Jeep scene? I don’t want to spoil it, but let’s just say I had to fan myself and reconsider every bad decision I’ve never made in a parked vehicle. 😳

But what surprised me (and totally owned my heart) was how much emotion Summer James packed in between the heat. I didn’t expect to feel so seen by a woman navigating a male-dominated world with fire and grit—and then finding not just steamy connection, but fierce protection and love. These hockey gods weren’t just hot—they showed up. The way they circle around her, how they take the surprise pregnancy in stride and fight for her and the babies? I was teary-eyed one second and flushed the next. It’s the perfect blend of spicy fantasy and swoony reality.

And TRIPLETS?? I gasped. I laughed. I clutched my Kindle like it was my emotional support water bottle. The stakes felt high, but the love felt even higher.

MFMM, strong but emotionally complex men, high-heat scenes that toe the line of so wrong but sooo right, and a heroine who owns her power even when everything is shifting beneath her, then run to this book. Don’t walk. I finished it feeling like I’d just stepped off the ice myself—flushed, breathless, and 100% satisfied.

Kenzie is running her own veterinary clinic, as well as being the vet who takes care of the Minnesota Marauders hockey team macaws, the mascots for the team. Kenzie slept with Ambrose after meeting him at a team party. Kenzie finds out that Ambrose is the newest hockey team member when she sees him hanging out with two other hockey players, Braden and Reggie. Braden is an Irish charmer, and Reggie is a Scottish sweetheart. Kenzie’s best friend Ally is in a relationship with three professional athletes, and Kenzie wants that also, except for her religious upbringing makes her feel guilty when she finally does get together with Ambrose, Braden, and Reggie.

Summer James has written another fantastic book with wonderfully flawed characters that become their own found family. There are a lot of emotions as they blend their lives together, as they are all strong characters with their own issues. The writing is skilled and loaded with emotion. The story is appropriately paced, and the author has done a great job creating an interesting plot, characters with depth, and great world building. I definitely recommend this book!.

Wow, another great read from Summer James. In this one a young vet is trying to build confidence and seduce an incredible handsome party goer. She has the most incredible experience of her life but life creeps back in and she has self-doubts. The book goes through her upbringing in a strict religious upbringing and parents who seem to never believe how incredible of a woman/vet she really is. But her three hockey me certainly know. They go through some soul searching and trials and tribulations that are characteristic of a Summer James story.
I loved how she played on the doubts of both sides, Kenzie on if the guys really loved her and the guys as if they loved her as much as they say they did. Feelings get hurt, but Ambrose, Braden and Reggie finally got it together and realized what was happening and figured out that she is worth any hurt feelings. Loved the back and forth and the feeling that the guys had, being a guy, they were dead on, as to how they felt and how they finally figured out she was definitely worth any issues they might have had. Love the story and how they got it all together to make it a special family.

Sweet steamy ice-hockey why choose romance

This is a well written, romantic story. With humor, drama, wonderful chemistry, romance, passion and love.

Kenzie has been brought up by strictly religious parents, though she tries to have her own life. When she finds herself attracted to not one but three of the team she's the resident vet with she struggles with her guilt and keeps pulling away.

Ambrose is new to the team and Reggie and Branden have moved in with him as housemates. When Kenzie catches their eyes they all feel an attraction for her but realise that they're going to have to take it slowly and they might need to romance her to ensure they don't lose the special something developing between the four of them.

They all say they want to make it work, but Kenzie worries that two pink lines might mean she's going to lose the men she's fallen in love with.

Kenzie has been brought up by strict religious parents. So when she gets involved with 3 of the players on the team, she struggles with the guilt. She enjoys her time with them, but the guilt can sometimes consume her, making her run from them.

Ambrose, Reggie, and Braden know they have something special with the resident vet and try to give Kenzie space when she struggles with guilt. But there is something else going on with her, but what is it? The four of them seem to be in a great relationship. Why is she pulling away from them? Why won't she talk to them? Has the relationship run its course and eventually implode on them? Surely not, when their feelings run this deep?.

This is another amazing book by Summer James. Kenzie, the MFL is a veterinarian that has a struggling business but also works for for the Minneapolis Marauders hockey team. She has a one night stand with a new player Ambrose. She also catches the eye of two other players, Braden and Reggie. An accident brings them all together. When their relationship journey begins, Kenzie starts to struggle because she comes from a very traditional and strict upbringing. Once she finds out she's pregnant their relationship becomes rocky and her guilty conscience takes over. Their journey is a difficult one for them all individually and together, but love, happiness, and three babies will prevail in the end. You will definitely be engaged throughout this whole book. A definite must read!

I really enjoyed the story of Kenzie and her men, Ambrose, she had a one night stand with when he first came to town and his housemates, Reggie and Braden. Because of her religious background, she struggled to come to grips with her feelings for all three men and dealing with how her mother and father would treat her when they found out she was living. When she found out she was pregnant, she struggled with her feelings of being scared and being rejected by her men. There are a lot of deep feelings explored in this story by all characters. In the end, they work it out and go onto live their happily ever after.

Well written story and well developed characters. T could not put this book down. It grabbed my interest and kept me involved from the beginning all the way to the end.
She comes from an ultra conservative and religious family. They are rowdy hockey players that like to share. Are they going to get together? How will it end? Will she be kicked out of her family? Or have a new found family?.

Kenzie dreams of a polyamorous relationship especially now that she met 3 hockey players. Ambrose, Braden and Reggie play in the same team and decide they want her and will break down her walls. Problem is Kenzie’s upbringing was very religious and she must fight to get past her family’s disappointment and her guilt. Great novel following this hockey team for a reader who likes hot ménage romances.

A story of Kenzie's struggle to keep a business open and adding in a second job to the stress. But she is a hard worker and making due. Then she meets the guys. Our author guides us on how the four navigate the ups and downs of this new connection, showing how important communication is in a relationship. And there are surprises in store.
Summer has another hit and I'm so glad I was able to read this one.

Kenzie Reggie Ambrose and Braden. The fire was instantaneous. But it wasn’t only about that. It was about trust and letting go of fears that can prevent you from finding true happiness even in unconventional places. Each guy brought their own warmth to her life. She needed that after the way her mom tried to push a specific life on her. The end of this book is beautiful.

I absolutely loved this book! The second in the series that I have read, and truly a delight. Ms. James certainly has a knack when it comes to this genre, keeping the plot real, with ups and downs, and not simply from one of the characters. Not only do they each have hurdles to leap, but they do so with real feelings.
Kenzie and her men are sure to keep you on your toes with all of their escapades. A great read!.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how Kenzie deals with the emotions caused by her upbringing and her love for Ambrose, Reggie and Braden. I was really glad when everything worked out so all four can be together with the family they started. Love will triumph in the end.

Bird bite

What started as a one night fling lead to a night in the ER with three hunky hockey players. Female is a vet that takes on the world on a shoestring budget. Braden is the peaceful one. Reggie is the comic relief of the group. And Ambrose, he is the one that will surprise you.
Another great story by summer james

I enjoyed this book despite being frustrated with some of the decisions the main characters were making, despite knowing they were needed for resolution (& HEA) to occur. Although it is part of a series it can be read as a standalone.

Great story!

Kenzie is a veterinarian. She goes to a party one night and meets a very handsome guy. They make love. Then she goes to the ice rink to tend to two macaws, the teams mascots. She meets Braden and Reggie. She makes love to them all and they each love her in return, but they want her to want them , all three. This is a very adventurous story.

I liked it better than book one, Cap 20 is my favorite Reggie talking to Brooks was so special.

Although I would have liked a better development of Ambrose character and the encounter of his son with the others, not only the ending.

She was drawn to Ambrose instantly but thought it was just one time. Little did she know that she would also be drawn to Braden and Reggie. They have a lot to work thru but together they can do it.

A good read but for me there were too many inconsistencies in the story. Why would 3 people need to take one person to the hospital? It was all a bit too instant and unclear timelines. And another set of triplets? What are the chances!!

This was a Why Choose Hockey Romance about a young female veterinarian who takes a job as the vet to the Marauders Hockey Team and their cantankerous birds. As she juggles her practice, the birds and three scrumptious hockey players she fights to stand on her own two feet without handouts or favors. I did think that some of the miscommunication and fear that she had was a bit annoying…but pregnant women aren’t always the most clear thinking so I can understand that (I speak from experience). Overall I liked all three men because they all brought different qualities to the relationship that Kenzie needed. I look forward to the next Marauders book in the series!
