ERIN He promised himself to another woman, in exchange for saving my life. I love him with all my heart. I want to trust him when he promises me he’s handling it, but time is running out. I refuse to be his side piece. It’s not just me and our son I need to think about now. Because I’m pregnant with our second child.
Demyan I made a deal with the devil, because anything was better than losing Erin. Even marrying Sergio’s daughter. But now I’m stuck. If I refuse to honor my promise, I’ll lose the respect I’ve worked so hard to earn. I know Sergio is playing me. I just need to prove it. Then I can end this sham of an engagement. But if it comes down to choosing between my family and my honor, I’ll choose family every time.
Scarlet Sins is Book 2 of Duet One in the Yegorov Bratva series. Demyan and Erin’s story begins in Scarlet Secrets.
More of the same as book one. Except this one was an endless regurgitation of the same conversation about fifty times just to be used as filler. Nothing happened. Nada.
Erin threw a tantrum for a while over the arranged marriage nonsense. The cliched spoiled and vapid arranged fiancé Stefina popped in a lot just to be obnoxious and cartoonishly villain like.
The plot barely moved. This easily could've been one book. The entire first half was a constant repetition of Erin whining or complaining about the forced marriage and Demyan reassuring her over and over and fucking over again. I swear that man didn't speak that damn much in the first book. But seriously, Erin would complain to his sister Alina who'd reassure her "he's never looked at another woman the way he looks at you" or "he's different with you" and so it went. Then Ilya would offer comforting words about trusting Demyan, hell, even her bestie Kara phoned it in too. And yet, we still spend half the book circling the same stupid issue without any progress.
Erin was even more annoying than in the first book. Just devolved into such an insecure mindset that we lost so many chapters to just her inner monologuing her insecurities about how Demyan might marry that other woman after all, how gorgeous she was in comparison to herself, how put together and well dressed, how she'd be huge in a few months and that if Stefina and him chose to have children she's never let herself get big etc etc. She just wouldn't quit.
So between that and again, the repetitive conversation between Erin and Demyan about his plan to get out of the marriage, how he wants to marry her and loves her over and over again. I was exhausted.
Essentially the entire first half could've been summed up in about five or six chapters tbh. That's how little progress took place. It truly was just repeating the same convo, issues and feelings in different ways. It was boring and a waste of time.
Ilya as always was a pleasure. Though likely not enough to attempt his book.
Not as good as the first book. I don't think this needed to be a duet. It really could have been just one book, especially if you took out over half of the sex scenes in the second book. As well as half of the scene time with and regarding Stefina. Things that overly annoyed me: - How Demyan kept saying or thinking that Erin lied to him regarding Sasha. He was completely irrational in this regard. - I didn't like how Erin's friend Kara was playing devil's advocate in regards to Demyan engagement to Stefina. - The thing with Stefina and especially towards the end with her and Vince were just tacky and not needed.
This is Book 2 in the Yegorov Bratva series. I personally like book one a lot more add more action just a little bit more of everything. This book picks up where book one ended with Erin and Demyan ended. I feel that this book had fillers just to extend the storyline and I think that the most thing I love about this book was the ending
By this point in romance publishing, it feels like a dereliction of duty to not call out bad books and a public service to write low-star reviews. Just in the hopes that authors will somehow become motivated to provide better stories, and readers will be more critical in their reviews. Besides being offensive to fans, it's not healthy for our brains to keep flooding the market with so much utter slop, and then pretend it is not slop.
So I'm not trying to be mean when I say this duet sucked. And it sucked in ways that are not cute, cool, or collectable - like how we might cherish artifacts of popular culture that aren't considered high-brow. First of all, and again, more than one book is almost never necessary or done well in romance. Romance has traditionally expected stand-alone resolution in one book, and one might argue this is in fact, genre canon - because the two core tenets of the genre are 1. a central love story with 2. an HEA. And claiming to have an HEA becomes less plausible the more same-couple books without resolution you have in a series.
But anyway - as others have noted, nothing happens. It is pure repetition in both books. The two leads are unlikable to an unreadable degree. She is TSTL. The plot, the characters, the narrative structure - it's all bad. I am someone who still loves old school historicals, so it may sound odd to hear me say that subjectively, I found this MC to be far beyond the pale. And stupid. Maybe it just rubbed me the wrong way personally, that he was so blase and committed about taking a 2-year-old away from his mother and not caring how that would affect the kid, and how long he was fine with watching the FMC mother suffer. Some of the grossness had to do with the flimsiness of his reasoning. Then most of the alleged plot consists of the MC self-arranged to marry another woman while keeping the FMC and their child in his house and stringing her along. This did not get resolved until the final pages of book two. None of this is romance, kids. It's depressing and boring at the same time.
The writing style was off, too. I was confused in several places. The initial one night stand in book one was decent, if not entirely plausible. But it took a nosedive from there on out.
Kira delivers another gripping installment in the Yegorov Bratva Saga with Book 2, a story that masterfully blends emotional depth, danger, and devotion.
The narrative picks up with Erin’s harrowing rescue after being kidnapped. In a desperate bid to save her, Demyan is forced into a precarious alliance—agreeing to marry Sergio’s daughter in exchange for vital information about Erin’s whereabouts. The stakes rise quickly, culminating in a tense confrontation where Demyan kills Nico, the man responsible for Erin’s brutal captivity.
The emotional gravity of the story deepens as Erin, now safe with their son Sasha, returns to Demyan’s home. Together, they begin the delicate process of rebuilding their relationship amid external pressures and personal uncertainties. Erin’s concern over her place in Demyan’s life intensifies, especially as Sergio’s daughter presses for a wedding that could change everything.
The plot is skillfully developed, with unexpected twists and a strong cast of supporting characters that add layers to the story without overshadowing the central romance. Kira strikes a fine balance between action and emotion, allowing readers to truly empathize with both Erin and Demyan as they struggle to build trust and love in a world where loyalty often comes at a price.
The finale is both surprising and satisfying—an emotionally resonant ending that ties the threads of the story together in a meaningful way.
Bravo to Kira for crafting another compelling chapter in the Yegorov Bratva saga. This installment is a must-read for fans of dark romance and mafia fiction, and it leaves readers eagerly awaiting what comes next.

I really enjoyed the theme of this book/series. It had me hooked from the get-go. Book One sets the framework of the story, telling how Erin and Demyan met and what happens when they meet again a few years down the line. Demyan is mad at Erin because of the secret she kept, but he, although angry towards her, still has a strong chemistry with her. When book one leaves the story on a cliffhanger, I couldn't wait for book two to be released to see what happens with Erin. Will Demyan find her in time, and what will be the fallout when Erin finds out the deal he has had to make with Sergio to get the information he needs?
Sergio is trying to play Demyan, using his daughter as a way to control him. But does anyone control Demyan??? Due to Bratva politics, Demyan is restricted on what he can do to get out of the agreement, otherwise, he could lose his standing in the community which would harm his business. On the other hand, he could lose Erin, who is the one he loves, when he has just got her back. Erin informs him she will not be the other woman in the marriage alliance.
Demyan is trying to bring Sergio down, keep Erin and Sasha safe as well as contending with Stefina, his intended and Sergio's daughter. Will he get the information he needs to get out of the alliance, not start a war in the process, and eventually marry the woman who has opened his heart to love, a family, and a future?

I enjoyed the conclusion to Demyan and Erin’s story. I think it was set at a good pace. There were pissed moments, sweet moments and suspenseful moments. I had fun with this and can’t wait for Ilya & Alina!!
🎧 𝗔𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 🎧 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved this audio, it was completed in duet fashion which is my favorite narration type. And James and Maeve brought these characters to life wonderfully.
How was this book so much worse than the first one? There were plot issues, pratically the same repeated conversations, and sooo many grammatical issues that there would be no way this thing would pass as a high school English assignment.
Hardly anything happens in this book. It was mostly just trying to find a way out of the marriage, and Erin complaining about it the whole time. I completely understand her point of view; I wouldn't put up with the man I loved marrying someone else and potentially become the mistress. But she just kept complaining and whining and throwing a fit the whole time, even after saying she understood. Then, when he finally did break it off, she suddenly came to the realization of the consequences of doing so. Dude, everyone has been telling you what the repercussions would be, but you just ignored them the entire time.
There were so many grammatical issues all over this book. Runon sentences, incomplete sentences, missing words all over, and just some strange sentence structures all over. If you were to tell me anyone proofread or edited this book, I will call you a liar. There is no way in hell.
The story was entertaining enough, but this second book was just unneccesary. There was no need for this to be a duet. I will move to the next story, as I didn't hate the author's writing style, just the editing choices (or lack thereof).

This is the book 2 of Kira's Yegorov Bratva saga. Erin is rescued after being kidnapped. Demyan has to make an agreement to marry Sergio's daughter to get information about the location of Erin. Demyan kills Nico when he finds Erin who has been beaten by Nico. Erin is thankful to be back in Demyan's home, and their son Sasha has been rescued as well. The couple tries to navigate their developing relationship. Demyan is being pressured by Sergio's daughter to finalize wedding plans while Erin is growing more concerned about her role in his life. This story is well developed, has a great plot, plenty of twists with added supporting characters. I sympathized with both Erin and Demyan as they try to develop a loving relationship. There is a great finale, with surprise which is very fitting. Bravo to Kira for another fine story.

This is an exciting conclusion to the two book series of the Yegorov Bratva. Demyan has been unable to find Erin and is forced to agree to marry Sergio’s daughter to get information to get Erin back. As happy as Erin is to be home with Sasha and Demyan, she hasn’t told him yet she is pregnant with their second child, she is devastated when she finds about Demyan’s promise to wed Sergio’s daughter and is refusing to be his dirty little secret! Together they are facing twists and turns, betrayals, lies, guilt, drama, forgiveness, plenty of steam and love. A captivating read that I just couldn’t put down! I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book via BookSprout and I am writing this review voluntarily
This is the duet to the Yegorov Bratva Series where Erin finds herself kidnapped and rescued as Demyan is only provided help from Sergio if Demyan promises to marry his daughter. Nico is a cruel man and Demyan steps in ending him. Erin and Sasha adjust to Demyan and his possessive ways and Sasha opens his world by including Demyan. As Demyan works on getting out of the marriage his bride to be is over the top with planning their wedding and putting Erin in her place. When Erin falters in her belief that Demyan will be able to stay out of the forced relationship does her life get turned around once again. The twist, revenge, lies and secrets are all revealed and an ending that you’ll never see coming!! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book 2 of the Yegorov Bratva series by Kira Cole. Erin and her son Sasha were kidnapped by Nico. In his desperation to find her Demyan had to make an agreement with Sergio to marry his daughter in order for him to get information to find Erin. Demyan then rescued Erin and killed Nico. This had plenty of intrigue, deception, twists and turns. Some predictable elements in this nail-biting hot romance. It shows how they deal with the obstacles that they face together. The twists and turns, betrayals, lies, guilt, drama, steamy sexual passion, love and desire create a captivating read that I absolutely did not want to put down until I read the last page. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

For the love of another person, what measures we go to?. Demyan
What a person will do for love. Even sacrifice themselves. But will there be a light at the end of the tunnel? How many hurdles can one leap over?
Overall, we have come full circle in understanding Demyan. Who he is and why he is this person. From one night of passion, his life and those around him changed.
Within the Bratva , life is complicated and ruthless. For a while - deception was always at his door. An answer was needed to resolve his position. Confusing? maybe.
A must read to complete the duet. You will feel for the characters, feel their emotions, sense their pain.
18+ read. * Violence * Seduction (explicit) * Full Bratva
Book Two leads in with the cliffhanger from Book One. Demyan is doing everything he can to find the two most important people in his life. But to save one he needs to make a deal with the devil to find her. Kira keeps you on the edge of your seat, turning the pages with all the twists and turns that you don't see coming. Will Demyan be able to keep Erin safe, and will she trust Demyan and everything he's doing? If you love a Steamy Bratva Romance with some angst and twists and turns that you dont see coming, you will love this book. Will Demyan and Erin ever get the HEA they deserve? However, this book may not be for everyone. Please heed the author's trigger warnings before reading or purchasing.
Erin and Demyan were torn apart at the end of the first book. In order to save the mother of his son, Demyan makes a deal with another mafioso. The deal? Marry Stefina, the other man's daughter.
Now Erin is safe but wiggling free of his agreement is much more difficult than Demyan imagined.
Demyan has a great deal of character growth. Remember: in the first book he locked Erin in a bedroom and kept her away from their son Sasha. In this book, he goes above and beyond to save her and keep his family safe. I don't know that Erin has much growth. If anything, she learns to accept the lifestyle that comes with being tied to Demyan.
A solid 3.8 star read. Not too gripping, but interesting enough.
After reading Scarlet Secrets I couldn't wait to read the conclusion and finding out how this story ends for Demyan and Erin. Erin ran from Demyan after finding out he would be marrying another woman but doesn't get far before she's kidnapped and held hostage. To get her back the only person to help him gives him one option, marry his daughter or no help finding Erin. He knows that dealing with the devil himself was bad but knowing he has no option. What he dies know that after he rescues Erin and kills her captives he really needs to find a way out of marrying Stefina. For the conclusion in this story Erin must trust Demyan but seeing Stefina every day is so hurtful and confusing.
A dark romance where the stakes are high, the suspense is edging, and the steam is fogging my Kindle! Book two of the Yegorov Bratva, which continues the story of Erin and Demyan. Picking up with Erin’s kidnapping, and Demyan willing to do anything to get her back home to him and Sasha. But the extent of what he has to do may make it hard for Erin upon her return. Cole has a clever way of redeeming her characters so they get the HEA they’re fighting so hard for, with the sweetest ending. It’s an emotional ride for Demyan and Erin, but so worth the read!.

Book: Scarlet Sins (Book #2 Yegorov Bratva) ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 STARS Narrator’s: Maeve York & James Cassidy (DUET) I loved the conclusion that this book provided me! When the FMC and MMC get their happily ever after it is like I get my own. *swoooooon*😊🤭 These narrators really know to get the story across in such an enticing way. They will be on my “favorites” list, for sure! Demyan really turned into a softy without losing his scary edge. You get to see more of that side with his relationship with Sasha and Erin. Even though one the major conflicts on this book really could have been avoided with a little bit of ✨communication✨... who would have thought? But again, everything words out in the end, and I loved all 7hr 53min of this book!! I was already looking forward to whose story would be next, I am ready to Cara to get her story. I knew Alina would have a guarded heart after losing her fiancé but was EXTATICT to find out Books 3 & 4 would be Ilya and Alina…. Whoahhhhh! I sensed something… but did not want to hold out hope lmao.
A great conclusion to Erin and Deyman’s dark romance. At the conclusion of book one Erin was frantically searching for their son Sasha who was kidnapped and ended up in the devil’s hands instead. I love how Deyman protects those he loves, but what happens when alliances are formed, contracts signed? Erin loves her new family, but can she live with Deyman and be apart of his world and start a war? A captivating story of hope, faith love as Erin must trust in Deyman as their world comes crashing down. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
After Demyan makes a deal in order to save Erin, he must face the consequences of that deal but Erin makes it really difficult for him to figure things out. It was really hard to be supportive of Erin when she had no trust or faith in Demyan's abilities to get himself out of the sticky situation. He had to save her and she was being unreasonable. She even admits it but continues with her actions. It got frustrating with Erin.

I find it a little overstretched the whole 2nd fiance situation... but I get that it was on purpose otherwise Demyan would understand some emotions &co. i have to say that at some point, I did love Sasha that I could have adopted the kid .... this character was all sunshine and good and positive vibes. if in the first I kind of hated the MMC in the second book he did find a special place in my heart. and I kind of want to read also the story further of Ilya and Alina. I'm hoping that their story isn't a stereotype... but I will see
I loved the conclusion of Demyan and Erin's story. Demyan had to make hard choices to save Erin, and while she was mad about those choices, she could have been a little more understanding of them. She loved him and trusted him, she should have been more trusting of him to do the right thing in the end, which he does. I loved the plot and the action of these books; it was fast-paced and made up for the fmc being whiny sometimes.
Scarlet Sins is the second book in the Yegorov Bratva series. It is a page-turner with characters who may do bad things but are good when it comes to taking care of each other. There is also lots of drama, steaminess, romance, family love, healing, a few twists, lots of Bratva action, and a happily ever after that makes your heart swell.

These two have really kept me enthralled in their story.
Pregnant again but Erin is trying to keep things even although Demyan is trying keep trouble from the door.
I loved the connection these two have. Definitely friction and snarky but also devoted. That love is realised eventually once the trouble has attacked.
Amazing duet. Can't rave enough. I enjoy Kira's books, can't wait for more.

Deyman has promised himself to Stefania to save Erin. Erin is pregnant with their second child and he doesn't yet know. They are tortured as they try to navigate this untenable situation. He swears he won't choose anything other than his family even if it is between his family and his honor. Can Erin wait though for this to resolve.

Demyan is placed in a difficult situation when he has to choose between the love of his life to save his family or marry someone who means nothing to him. This thrilling story is filled with devious twists and turns that had me glued to the pages as I connected with Demyan and Erin as they walked a treacherous path. Will he be able to get back to Erin and live the life of happiness together.

The second part of the Yegorov Bratva also keeps your attention, and we are increasingly taken into the lives of Erin, Demyan and their son Sasha. Again, their journey contains action, tension, secrets and lies, danger, betrayal and many hot and steamy moments and much more. If you like Bratva stories, this is definitely a must-read!

This was the second in a 2 book series. I loved the conclusion. It wasn’t just wrapped up quickly and anticlimactically. There were so many twists and turns but it didn’t feel forced or “jumping the shark”. I will say, Erin did start to grate on my nerves a bit in the middle, due to her inability to grasp the “mafia life”. But overall it was a great conclusion to the series.
