It’s too many characters and too many POVs. We are being introduced to new people every few chapters and it’s just a lot to digest. I feel like if you gonna introduce new issues then older ones from the first book need to be resolved. This was just chaotic to me and by the end I didn’t feel any less confused. No real improvements from book one everyone is still conflicted.

I read this book in 24 hours. It was full of spice, laughter, and mess! I went back and forth between whose storyline I was most invested in, but I enjoyed what everyone was going through, although I really loved Pistol and Fear.
Sidenote: I need Whiskey with Tems! Fear, I believe, really likes Pistol, so I hope they can be together. I need Rook to eventually stop being a hoe and get with Quest officially. I need Poet to forgive Mocha and be with his soulmate. I need Ruger to be the man he is and keep things happy and healthy with Kyla! I need that book 3 ASAP!

Like bruhhhh why? Like how could she do us like that? I don’t know who pissed her off while writing this but ummm I’m going to need them to stop expeditiously. Because she is taking it out on us with this book! This woman is a master manipulator when it comes to these storylines! When I say her pen game is wicked! Like who thinks of something like that. Her that’s who! Do you know how long it took me to wrap my mind around that mess I had just read? Like how does she expect people to have edges after that? The nerve! I ought to sue for emotional distress! Outstanding job.

Okay
So there is ENTIRELY too much going on. All these exes coming back from being away for years. Ppl lying about their pasts. Hidden identities. Missing parents. And everybody seems to be pregnant. I mean the story is decent but it’s all over the place tbh. This author has literally attempted to incorporate every trope that you can think of into this story and honestly idk if it’s working. Another thing the editing of this book is off to me. There were a lot of errors.
Overall it’s a decent book but yeah it gave me quite the headache with the ten different point of views and storylines.

The lack of common sense in this book upset me.
Idek where to begin! I loved it don’t get me wrong but for them to be so powerful and smart man were they dumb.
I’ll start with Quest. She knew better. She had literally no business going to see what they wanted yet alone drinking anything given to her when her father threatened her numerous times.
Ruger obviously still has some feelings there and I can’t wait to see how this “deal” backfires in his face. Also wonder if his mom will pop back up again.
Rook will never learn. From Quest, to the nurse at the hospital, to Eden. She’s obviously gonna pop up pregnant and I won’t feel sorry for him. I can’t wait to see if getting his daughter taken will mature him or not.
Kyla also lacked common sense. Why have you never seen your birth certificate? Soon as she said that I already knew what was coming next. I wasn’t expecting that family link though. I wonder how her father is going to react once he hears how she’s been treated. I also wonder what that will mean for the two families being that they aren’t close anymore.
Pistol… she so busy being jealous of everyone else finding love she was just plain naive and ignored all the signs with Fear. I wonder how she’s gonna get herself out of this one and if she’s gonna notify her family.
Whiskey knew better keeping her alive for HOURSSSS now that secret could possibly destroy his family. He had weeks to come clean but because he cares for her he kept it. Then wtf is he doing with Ines? She doesn’t even deserve him in any capacity. I’m ready for her to go.
Poet is irritating me. I get he’s upset but he’s dragging it at this point.
I also want to know what Boosie’s deal is as well and why she hates the family so much.
Since Ellen took a bullet that wasn’t meant for her, I wonder if Stellan or Bronco shot her. Could be a reach but eh.

While I loved the first book, this book kinda pissed me off. I found myself skimming through a lot of the dialogue of things. But one thing is for sure, Rook is still dumb messing with that girl. I hope she doesn't come back and say she's pregnant in book three. Then Quest is equally dumb. Like, why would you go to a meeting with your parents and you've talked so badly about them? I mean, the shit really does not make any sense.
Poet, I get why he is mad, but I am thankful he is letting her leave. Cause you tryna control too much at that point. These men are making me mad. LOL

Ruger and Dollface
Ruger still has me swooning 🥰 I couldn’t stop smiling while reading their parts in the book. This book held my attention from beginning to end. When Mrs Partee said the ex’s was showing up smh..they did! Quest/Rook.. I just don’t know. Poet/Mocha..they drained me Lol. Joy/Photographer..hoping for more on them in part 3.Whiskey..I like him, but him with ex wife and Tems little surprise😳 Pistol/Fear.. I hope she use the good sense God gave her. I know it’s going to turn all the way up next book with Ruger and ole girl coming back but I’m ready!! That ending 😢I know they about step behind this. Overall awesome book from start to finish.

CRAZY CLIFFHANGER
OMG !! Part 3 was so lit!! I am one reader that happy it's going to be a part 4 I didn't want this book to end !!! I hate the way the cliffhanger had me droping my phone cause my girl quest didn't deserve that I will rook would have went with her..with his stubborn self !! I here for Kyla and Ruger love story they bond is so strong. Poet is so bull headed with mocha I understand stand y he mad..but he still to hard on my girl!! Please let them get past this in part 4. Whiskey and inge.is still up in the air for me they just reunited today..but what about his bm temp..YASSS YOU DID YOUR BIG ONE WITH THIS PARTEE

ughhhh
Took me reading half the book to somewhat remember what was going m from the first one. It's so many characters and so much fluff. The family vacation scene fluff. The pages between him going to get the pregnancy test and her taking the test fluff. The new house scene I had to read that 3 times to understand the floor plan of the house that has a dock over the front just off the great room that's on the other side of the kitchen but you walk through the foyer to get to the kitchen. It's like the author wanted to include everything that wasn't needed to extend the series to a third book. This could have been wrapped up in two books not 3

Kyla has the best story.......
Everybody else is lying and keeping secrets. Whiskey with Tems, Pistol with Fear (Talon), Quest with Rook, and Mocha with Poet. I have yet to decide if Romare is being as honest about Bronte especially since he took the deal but I will hold judgment for now. Kyla has the best storyline has down, I can't wait for Bronco to find out Mira sold Kyla to Stellan and what Stellan was about to do with her before Whiskey stepped in. Also the alliance they can now have with the Croix and the Bells especially with a Croix-Bell baby on the way. I hope there is more focus on Kyla's story.

Rook about to have a field day with them especially over his baby. Quest should have never met up with them and certainly not drink anything from them. I see Mira done really fked up. Bronco don't seems like the type to play games and finding out Kyra his daughter after all these years about to start something. For some reason I don't want Whiskey with Ines just like I don't want Poet around his ex. Ruger shouldn't have taken that deal cause I believe Bronte up to something. Pistol feeling heartbroken but Fear will never know. I kinda wanted them to be together so I hope he has a change of agenda.💛💛

Listen I didn’t think it could get better than the first book, but whew the twists in this book had me over here cussing, yelling and shocked as hell lol. Rook gone kill Quest whole family including that sorry Husband of hers and imma enjoy reading that part!! Idk why ppl be messing with the Croix like that not about that life lol. And chhhhhiiiiiiile what about Mira actually being Kyla aunt not mama so where her mama at then like this got my head spinning. I just can’t imma be sad when I’m done with book 3, I just know it cause this is just too good to end!!!

Oh I can't wait for the next part I hope Rook gives Noa's trifling parents and husband exactly what they need. Stellan and Fear needs to be dealt with ASAP. This book is full of drama don't want to give to much away the last thing I will say is Mira and Khalessi has to go. I'll say this book is a must read. Great job S.L. Partee so ready for part 3 NOW

PART 2 WAS EVEN BETTER THAN PART 1!! Listen, this book was filled with so much drama. Omg. I’m loving Ruger and Kyla. I’m so happy for that couple but I feel like Brontë is coming. Rook is a dumbssa i knowwwwww Eden drugged him and is probably gonna pop up preggo. Whiskey, Nez, Tem and baby. Lawddddd! Pistol and Fear/Talon… woooah. I can’t wait to see how that plays out. Lastly, Poet and Mo get on my nerves! Just get back together. Sheeeeeesh

Why are all of these characters so trusting? You know these people are not right but you’re trusting them anyway. Please make it make sense. Then what’s up with all of these secrets. I read both books And I am in awe Of how wonderful Both books were Now I'm going crazy because to be continuous Now I'm going crazy because to be continue was not what I need to see I needed to see book 3And I am very much upset because I can't read what's gonna happen next and why my girl It's going through all of this All my girls all my god why would you do this to be continued This is not good But I love both books and I'm very anxious to hear and read The final week come on now

Poet is definitely doing too much...I get why he's hurting but he needs to figure it out....Noa/Quest should have just been honest from the start...now she's allowed her family to set her up....I'm definitely over Khalessi and her mom...but the way this war is about to start. .I'm here for it

Slow Burn
While the first book was great, this one felt slow and uneventful. Despite loving the characters and their storyline, the narrative dragged without delivering the promised drama. However, my attachment to the family will keep me reading the next installment.
