Dying is easy. Returning as your lover's enemy is hell.
When refined cellist Olivia Hart decides she needs more sexual confidence in her marriage, she crosses the River Thames to gritty South London and steps into Hunter Orlando's tattoo parlor. The sexy female tattoo artist seems to be everything Olivia isn't--wild, decadent, free--so Olivia lets her pick an old tattoo design sure to make her feel more daring. But when Hunter's gang-leader boyfriend recognizes Olivia as the wife of rich banker Shane Hart, he decides she's worth far more than the price of a little ink.
When Olivia is kidnapped and killed during the rescue attempt, Shane Hart loses everything. But after six months of wasting away, his senses are strangely awakened by the sexy biker chick, Hunter Orlando, whom the police believe to be responsible for Olivia's kidnapping and death. Hunter is too aggressive and wild for him, but there's something about her, and it's not just the "magic" tattoo she and his wife Olivia have in common.
After Olivia finds herself alive--in Hunter's body--she's hurt to see her husband so interested in another woman after only six months. But she can't help loving the way Shane makes her blood boil, the way she responds to him now in bed, and the way his lovemaking has gone from sweet and gentle to raw and primal and uninhibited...
Inside Out is not your average erotic romance. It has a story so deeply filled with turmoil, denial, and remorse, that at times, I put the book down to weep. Shane, the hero, is a total alpha hero and is so hot he'll have you panting, but he's also deeply in love with his dead wife.
So, for Hunter, the heroine and also his reincarnated wife, to reach him on a level deeper than primal desire, she'll have to slowly show him that he didn't lose everything the day his wife died before she can make him accept the new her.
This is another story with an amazingly fresh concept and tear inspiring words...well, when I wasn't panting. :) Loved!
First paragraph: With her cello case strapped to her back, Olivia Hart bit her lower lip, squinted up at the neon sign that read Skin Deep Tattoos, and plunged into the unknown. The sound of the bell jangle startled her, and she stumbled over the threshold, almost gagging at the breeze of strong, chemical scents blasting her face. The aroma brought to mind an enchantress’ love potion brewing for her next victim.
A nicely done story of romance, kidnapping, magical tattoos, and reincarnation, "Inside Out" is a well-written, emotionally charged story of loss and reunion that is sure to please fans of the genre. It certainly pleased me.
Olivia Hart is a concert cellist, a shy prude, and married to a rich banker in England. Hoping to spice up her sex life, she gets a tattoo to help her release some of her inhibitions. Unfortunately, her chance encounter with a thug at the tattoo parlor only gets her kidnapped and then killed. And that's where the story really picks up. Good thing, too, because Olivia's character was so saccharine sweet I was getting a tooth ache. Hunter's personality was too abrasive. Oddly enough, with the both of them 'reincarnated' or combined into one body, they sort of balanced each other out. Much better for the feng shui.
