Maverick: Playing For Keeps Book Two

Rate this book
Maverick

Like all good stories — and many bad decisions — it began in the back room of a club. I’d been traded to the one place I swore I’d never Alabama. So the night before I tackled the big move across the country, I hooked up with a random stranger.

It was supposed to be nothing more than a night of fun. We were never supposed to see each other again.

Imagine my surprise when I happened to run into him… five yards behind the line of scrimmage.

Reese

The last time I saw Maverick, he had tears in his eyes. I know; I put them there. And no amount of pass interceptions or end-run tackles could make me forgive myself.

Exes on the field was a bad idea, but exes in the locker room was even worse. Until I caught him with my team captain in the showers… and was commanded to join in.

Well, that was one way to apologize for the past.

Quinton

As defensive captain for the Yellowhammers, I couldn’t afford any distractions—on the fifty yard line or in the bedroom. So to get it out of my system before the season, I made a hot stranger my little princess in a city far from Alabama.

I never thought I’d see my princess twice.

The fact that he had a history with the one player on my defensive line with a smart mouth and a bad attitude only spurred on my protective nature.

After all, it was the team captain’s job to make sure everyone got along.

Maverick is book two in the Playing for Keeps universe, but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Very kinky insta love story between 3 men. Honestly I loved the majority of it. Some things I feel like should have been discussed more. Maverick & Reeses college hookup/relationship thing and how truly Reese’s actions shouldn’t have been forgive that easily. He ignored him and brushed him off even after 4 years. I’m sorry it just got pushed to the back burner to much for me. Even though watersports isn’t my jam I can read it so that wasn’t an issue for me. I wish we could have seen Reese & Quinton interact more. It might be because it was shorter of a book and could have benefited from being longer even just by a little. I felt like something was missing.

Maverick pulled me in right from the start and didn’t let go. I absolutely loved the characters; their voices, their chemistry, and the way their relationships developed both on and off the field. Even when some of the tropes weren’t fully in my personal wheelhouse, I appreciated how they were written: thoughtful, consensual, and never in a negative view. In fact, that’s part of what made this such a standout read for me.

The d/s dynamics were a particular highlight; tender, affirming, and sizzling. I was pleasantly surprized by “Princess" and the lace and leather, which had just the right mix of care and heat. Some of the tropes were newer to me, but I felt they were handled in a way that fit the story and characters rather than being thrown in for shock value. I also LOVE a good switch, and this aspect of Maverick was written BEAUTIFULLY.

The book shines because of its emotional depth. There’s tension, forgiveness, and vulnerability wrapped up in a story that’s as much about healing and connection as it is about spice. By the time I finished, I realized I’d basically devoured the book. I just couldn’t put it down!

Even if not every trope was my cup of tea, Maverick was still a fantastic read. It’s a bold, sexy, heartfelt romance that proves kink-positive storytelling can be both hot and deeply moving. I’ll definitely be picking up more from the Playing for Keeps universe.

I loved this book. It had a little bit of everything. I also liked how maverick turned out to be a switch. They all just connected like puzzle pieces and they were adorable.

I have been waiting for this book for so long... ah, you have no idea.

Since the first moment I finished Stetson, I knew I needed Maverick's story. He intrigued me, and I needed to get to know him better.

I didn't write the review right away because I needed some time to actually think about this one and evaluate how I was feeling. Unlike Stetson, who was an immediate infinite stars for me, this one... this one wasn't. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, I really did, but compared to Stetson, I just couldn't find it in me to give it a 5✨️. This one is more like a 4-4.25.

This book did not feel as balanced as the first book in the series. Something felt off once we finished reading the first part of the book where Maverick got his dream hooxk-up. That scene was absolutely fire, and aside from that one, it was only the date between Reese & Quinton that really felt genuine, if you want...

I feel like some things were not truly explored. They were put there out in the open, and then we ignored them instead of actually dealing with the issues. I feel like this took away from that "these three truly are made for each other" feeling.

Maverick and Reese have a history together, not a nice one, and I feel like we brushed off past it really fast, which made me feel like Mav didn't really forgive Reese for what happened back in the day. The fact that Mav became Reese's Daddy did not make sense for me. I felt like back then it was R who held the "power," and now all of a sudden, he submitted to Maverick? How? Why?

There was this scene where Mav asked Reese to come to them, and he did, because Maverick asked him, even if it was the middle of the night, and the next morning Mav & Quinton left him in bed and went out for coffee to have a cute moment together... yeah, NO. It was not. It pissed me off. It was the first time the 3 of them spent the night together, and it felt off to be all happy-happy joy-joy reading about those two when I knew Reese would wake up alone. IDK, maybe it is a me problem, I won't deny that, but it rubbed me the wrong way. It just added to that feeling that Mav didn't truly forgive Reese, and I can't shake that feeling no matter how much I try.

Quinton being the TOP DADDY was no surprise, and Maverick seems very submissive by nature, so him being Reese's daddy didn't make sense to me at all. Maybe if we had had additional info and more in-depth conversations about their past and more time for them to process that, forgive each other and stuff it would've been perfect.

Quinton and Maverick's chemistry was off the charts from the first moment, but with Reese? Idk, it was there... Don't get me wrong, but I feel like we needed more interactions between them as well.

Stetson, as I said, was very well balanced. We got to see them 3 together and in pairs. It gave us that bigger picture we needed, and that felt like it was missing here. Sure, Stetson has an established couple that brings in a third, while Maverick is three separate individuals starting a relationship together... which... in my mind need even more time together, more conversations, just more.

As I said, I loved this book, but I can't say it is perfect. Maverick is a sweetheart ( one of the reasons why I can't see him as a Daddy ), Reese is cocky and arrogant but you can tell he has a good heart and is nice to read about, and Quinton? He is delicious. I adore him.

I loved how this book was set in a world free of hate, free of judgment. It was a breath of fresh air in a world that is so consumed by ugly feelings towards the LGBTQIA+ community. It showed us how a free of judgment world is something we should work towards. Were acceptance is what makes the world a better place and how nice it is for others to live a life full of love just like they deserve. Rae did an amazing thing on this subject.

Since I talked about Stetson, my fav boy ( sorry, Mav ), I have to say that I loved seeing him, loved spending time with him, and I loved his Daddy & Sir making an appearance too. I miss them, BUT... since the problem of this book is that it was too short and some things didn't get the time to be truly developed in terms of plot or whatnot, I felt like Stetson took too much space in this story. I know, I know... I was shocked too to come to this conclusion. I could read about Levi, Stetson, and Barrett all day every day, but Mav needed more of his own story. I feel like if this book had 50 more pages, it would've been PERFECT.

I do recommend it, and not only that, I will re-read it. I had a great time with this one, I am just disappointed that it missed some key things. I am someone who loves poly books, you can check my profile and see just how much, but if there is something that is SUPER IMPORTANT for me and I can't overlook is THE DYNAMIC between the characters. The dynamic felt off because of the things I mentioned before.

The spice in this book, tho? Holly guacamole... IT WAS FIRE. WOW. 10/10. No notes here.

Rae is spectacular at writing MMM, I wish, and I hope they will continue doing so, but I hope they'll use the Stetson kind of dynamic, not the Maverick one.

I can't wait for Beckham's story. That one will be funny, I can already tell.

4-4.25, I do recommend it.

1st person, past tense, multi PoV
Maverick Crawford, linebacker for the Auburn Yellowhammers
Reese Taylor, cornerback for the Auburn Yellowhammers
Quinton “Diesel” Webster, defensive team captain for the Auburn Yellowhammers

I'm waffling between 3 and 4 stars but I enjoyed this more than Stetson so I'm going to round up even if the story felt rushed and could have been better paced with more character development.

Maverick is Stetson's best friend and makes appearances in this book (as Mav does in the previous book) but you could easily jump into this one without having read it so they both stand alone well.

Unlike second chance, which doesn't even crack my top 100 favourite tropes, mistaken/secret/hidden identity in all its iterations is my absolute jam! I adored diving into the story with an anonymous kinky hookup just knowing these two would see each other again soon. It wasn't teased out a long as I would have liked, but that's okay, it was a great start and set-up for Mav and Quinton's dynamic.

Mav and Reese though, I struggled a little with that aspect of the story. There was so much unresolved hurt from their initial relationship that I couldn't really warm up to Reese without so much more redemption and groveling from him. I enjoyed how they were together eventually, but I definitely held a grudge longer than Mav did.

Reese and Quinton felt a little forced, but I did like that the pacing of their relationship felt a little more gradual and natural and I liked that they explored being together in their own right and not just in relation to Mav.

is not a kink I particularly enjoy but the author wrote it in such a way that I felt like the characters were enjoying it, so it worked. The spice as a whole was excellent, I enjoyed all of it but wanted a little more development outside of the bedroom.

I was given an ARC and voluntarily wrote an honest review.

HOLY MOLY ME OH MY. Did someone say fire? I think I need the fire department after that. Hose me DOWN. This was beyond amazing. I was absolutely obsessed with all three of them from the get go. They had so much love for one another, worked on fixing themselves as well as growing as a throuple.

Maverick 🏈
Sweet sweet boy. Seeing Maverick grow into himself, learn what he wants and how he wants it, as well as accept that the past is the past was absolutely beautiful. He deserved to learn to love and accept every part of himself and that’s exactly what he did. Both partners brought out a different sides of him. Teaching him that needing certain things was okay despite his size and others preconceived notions.

Quinton 🏈
A man has never been so perfect in my eyes. He oozes confidence without condescension, he accepts others unconditionally, and he loves so deeply. He accepted everything about Maverick from the jump. No hesitation. He was enamored and wanted nothing more than to give them a safe space. He also knew what was best for both of his partners and made sure to give them the chance to explore that.

Reese 🏈
While I didn’t have an immediate love for him the way I did the other two, he grew on me so quickly. He harbored such guilt for his treatment of Mav in the past and worked to actually get forgiveness instead of brush over it. He may have felt the pang of jealousy over Quinton and Mav in the beginning but he accepted it with grace when he saw the way they both fulfilled his needs differently. He also found a deep love for Quinton as well.

These three had so much love and care and patience with one another it was immaculate. While this story was beautiful and emotionally mature it was also beyond steamy. These three were a yummy surprise when it came down to it. I had no idea that I would find some of this as interesting as I did…. TEAM SHOWER IYKYK

I received an advance copy and this is my honest review.
3*
I liked parts of the book. Maverick and Quinton are both strong, distinctive characters. Mav is sensitive and gentle off the football field. He’s curious and exploring his kinks. Quinton seemingly has life figured out and is always in control. He takes care of Mav and they have a great connection.

On the other hand, college Reese was shockingly terrible to Mav, then adult Reese is unrepentant and bullying from day one. I struggled with Reese’s character and didn’t connect with him. I felt like I didn’t see enough of the good parts of him that Maverick knew from college, or that Mav experiences in the present, but off-page. I wish we had some flashbacks and more page time integrating Reese. The reconciliation scene, in particular, was too quick and easy for me. I wish we had more time to see Mav and Reese develop trust again, rather than quickly agreeing to a poly relationship.

On that note, I wish the book explored these characters as they came to terms with being poly. What are their internal struggles? How do they talk to their families about it? I wanted the same thing in Stetson, as well, and hoped this book might examine it more. Poly arrangements are unique and special and I have genuine curiosity about them.

Other thoughts:
-Quinton is protective of Mav and knows that Reese is a jerk from working with him for years. Yet Quinton chooses to be hands off as Mav struggles with his terrible jerk of an ex. At some points, he finds it entertaining. I really didn’t understand.
-Watersports scenes sounded awkward and painful.
-We only get two or three scenes with Reese as part of the throuple. Quinton has his first date with Reese, then a sex scene, then an epilogue time jump. I turned the page to that and blurted out, “wait, what?!” It just feels very rushed.

This is the second book in the Playing For Keeps series. While it can be enjoyed as a standalone read, I would recommend reading the first book before you begin this one. This is the story of Maverick Crawford, Quinton "Diesel" Webster and Reese Taylor. A professional football player, Maverick is unhappily traded to Auburn Yellowhammers in Alabama. As a linebacker, he goes where he is told. Maverick absolutely hates the idea of going back to Alabama. Before he goes, he treats himself to a night of pleasure at the club Peaches. Happy birthday to me. Thanks to moving nightmares, he shows up for his first day of practice with his new team and he is late. The defensive team captain notes his late arrival. His grueling practice with the unrelenting Alabama heat is made worse when Maverick is paired to work with Taylor. HIs ex-boyfriend from years ago, a person he still hasn't forgiven for hurting and ghosting him. After the practice goes wrong, Maverick finds out that his birthday gift to himself is now his new defensive team captain. A perfect trifecta of horrible all rolled into one miserable first day at his new team. It seems like it is going to take a lot to get this season back on track. This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I enjoyed this book. I liked how each member of the triad developed a relationship with the other. Open communication was practiced and stressed. Add in a truck load of chemistry and you have a fun story to read. The book is sweet and spicy at the same time. I always enjoy a low angst story.

Since I read Stetson, I’ve been waiting for this book. I loved the relationship between Maverick and Stetson and how close they were.

Their failed attempt at being Dom/Sub didn’t work because they both needed the same thing and couldn’t get it from each other.

Maverick needed someone who truly understood what he wanted without him trying to spell it out. He found that and more with Quinton. Just one night was all it took for him to realize Quinton was the perfect daddy for him.

After the heartbreak left by Reese, Maverick needed someone to take care of him and show him the was enough. That he was cherished.

Quinton knew Maverick was the princess he’d been waiting for. The one who made him realize he wanted forever with someone. What he didn’t count on was that his princess would come with baggage. A baggage that he himself fell for in a way he never expected. Being with Reese was never the plan yet he fit perfectly with him and Maverick.

Reese knew he messed up when he let Maverick go. He knew he could never find someone like him no matter how hard he tried. Having him on the same team and seeing him everyday without being able to touch him would kill him. He knew he had to do something to get his forgiveness.

Little did he know that getting Maverick back also got him Quinton. The missing piece that he didn’t know he needed in order to be complete. His first time around with Maverick might have been wrong but this time, he not only had one man to love, he had two and that’s something he was grateful for. Together, the three of them found what they were looking for.

Rae Simmons continues to surprise me in the best of ways. I can’t get enough of her stories. Each one is better than the last.

“𝚆𝚎 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚜𝚎𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚜. 𝙳𝚘𝚗’𝚝 𝚠𝚎, 𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚜?”

AHEM. This started out with delicious-ness and just never let up. From that glimpse of Stetson that had me running back to his story to that first peek into who Maverick really is, it's all spice and heart eyes.

Maverick is just...the sweetest. I enjoyed all three characters but he stole the show for me. This big beefy linebacker with his pretty underthings just needing some sweet talk from his Daddy? I'm a goner. And then we find out he's a switchy soft Dom too? I have no choice but to love him dearly.

Maverick and Quinton are fresh and their chemistry is instant. Quinton knows exactly what Maverick needs and I love how Maverick is almost relieved to finally have what he's been looking for. Then enter Reese...the history between Reese and Maverick is rough but you know what a good Daddy does? Takes care of his boy on and off the field - and boy does he. He facilitates the healing between Reese and Maverick which then turns into something more for all of them. It's adorable the whole dang time - and who knew watersports could have an almost wholesome feel to it? Not me! But somehow it does. I cannot wait to see what we get in the next book!

The story follows Maverick, Quinton, and Reese. Maverick is traded to the Yellowhammers, football team in Alabama, as a linebacker. Quinton (team captain) and Reese are also both on the team. Maverick has a ONS with Quinton (without realizing who he is) the night before he moves to Alabama. Reese is Mavericks ex, where things ended on really bad terms. Can they make it work or will there be too much drama?

I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet, it was spicy, and I don't typically enjoy second chance books, but Rae did it really well. There's not reallyuch angst, which I really enjoyed, and the spice 4 out of 5, some of those scene, whew really good. My favorite part though? While the book takes place in the US, it's in a version where there's no biggotry or homophobia, so they never have to worry about liking the same gender. It's so great to read a book where the plot has nothing to do with be scared to come out of the closet. And the book is done in multi POV which I always love.

I would give this book 4 ut of 5 stars.
It’s perfect for readers who enjoy a quick read, spicy MMM, and a simple (yet satisfying) plot. Can't wait for Beckham's story!

🏈 A Daddy Dom, A Princess, And A Brat 🏈

This was a fantastic follow-up book to Stetson. It was sweet, sexy, and engaging. I wish these books were longer because I want more 😭. The kinks in this book were 🥵🥵🔥🔥💦. I loved seeing the cameos of Stetson and his men, especially in the epilogue 😌.

This story follows Maverick, Quinton, and Reese. Mav and Reese are exs and had a bad falling out. Mav and Quin meet at a club and boy was that hot af 🔥🔥. Mav ends up getting traded and both Reese and Quin end up on his new team. I loved each character and how different they were. Quinton was a daddy Dom and just a sweet and caring man. I feel like he brought the whole relationship of all three of them together. He was the glue. Reese was more of a hot head and a brat who was misunderstood. Mav was a sensitive soul who just wanted to be seen. The chemistry and power dynamics between all three were sexy 🔥🔥🔥. The kinks in this book were also a huge bonus 🫣💦💦😏. I highly recommend this book! Can't wait for Beckham's story next.

Maverick Playing For Keeps Book Two by Rae Simmons

I was so excited to read Maverick's story and this did not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised with the couple of plot twists that had me squealing. I do wish there was a little more development of the relationships, but where I really wanted more was Reese and Maverick. There seemed to be some unsaid things.

However, it was not enough for me to knock a star off because there has only been one other author that writes poly couples with that much care and respect for the Indvidual couples within the throuple too as well as the kink. The writing in this is on the same level as Cara Dee in The Game Series. If you have read that, you definitely need to check out this one and Stetson as well!

After reading Stetson I was frothing at the mouth for Mavericks story. And Boy Rae did not disappoint. I loved Mac and Quintin from the very beginning Quintin was exactly what Mav needed to feel safe and comfortable in himself and what he wanted. Mav is the sweetest princess ever, but get him around Reece and that soft Dom in him is 🥵. Reece hurt our Mav and really needed to make up for his past actions and though I felt it was a little rushed I still loved their moment of “airing out” Reece and Mav have grown up and they are not the same people they were when they first knew each other exploring. They are better now and I’m so happy they found their way (Quintin was definitely the missing link)

If you read Stetson, then you will recognise Maverick as the best friend. Maverick is an American Football player, and I know as much about American Football as I did about baseball, but my lack of sports knowledge did not stop me enjoying this book.
Maverick and Quinton had chemistry from the off, from the moment Maverick walked into that darkened room and I was glad Quintin spoke up quickly when he realised who Maverick was. Reese being added into the partnership added a different dynamic all together and there was a few surprises that I did not see coming. These three were hot for each other
Yes I would have liked more detail of Reese and Maverick in their college days but it did not distract me from enjoying this story.
With Beckham being introduced I am looking forward to his story, as Beckham seems like character that likes a laugh

I love reading nuanced poly dynamics and this one did not disappoint.

An anonymous one night stand involving D/s play and feminization ends up being more than they bargained for when they recognize each other at training camp. Add in an ex that broke your heart after college also being on the team and you have this tension filled insta-love poly romance.

Very mild angst, despite the animosity that the ex was met with initially. High heat, kink exploration, with sub and switch awakenings, make this an entertaining and spicy tale.

Top it off with a great flash forward epilogue and it’s the perfect quick MMM read.

What you’ll get:
•MMM
•NFL Teammates
•Dom/Sub/Switch
•Team Captain
•Daddy Kink
•Exhibitionism
•Watersports
•Feminization
•Princess
•Good boy & Good girl

📚BOOK♡REVIEW📚

Maverick by @authorraesimmons is book two in the Playing for Keeps series.

This short but spicy MMM romance is packed with fun, heat, and plenty of kink. It starts off with a bang between 'Teddy' (Maverick) and 'Diesel' (Quinton)—and by chapter three I was completely hooked. The moment Diesel dropped the word princess, I was sold.

What I loved about this one is how it balances things out: yes, it’s a dom/sub story with a whole list of kinks to enjoy, but Rae Simmons also weaves in second chances and some surprisingly sweet, tender moments that make the characters shine.

If you’re in the mood for a quick, steamy, and playful read, this one’s definitely worth picking up!

I adored how this started! Quinton and Mav were so explosive together! Quinton was the daddy that Mav needed that gave them a boost of confidence! I went into this blind for the most part and didn't realize it was a MMM until you got to Reeses chapter and I wasn't sure Reese could be redeemed! I did yell at my phone a little when his chapter came up! it took me a while to come around to him!

Still couldn't put this book down! and the set up for the next book leaves you wanting more! I can't wait for it!

Sweet Home Alabama!
Just like in the iconic second-chances movie with Reese Whiterspoon, Maverick goes back to Alabama – the last place he ever wants to go back to – and finds love again, not with one, but with two hot men (who happen to be his defensive teammates).
Granted, this book is much hotter and kinkier than your average rom-com, and these three men together are sizzling enough to melt your Kindles, but they’re also very sweet and they fit together perfectly, if not seamlessly; due to their past history Mav and Reese have a bit of a rocky start, but once they get over it, things are full steam ahead!

This was a hot story between 3 football players. Their chemistry was off the charts and I loved their connections. I enjoyed how things played out and loved their dynamics and the kinks that were displayed. I felt that Maverick and Reese already having a past helped the story, and also us seeing Quinton and Maverick at the start helped the story. I loved how Quinton and Reese took care of Maverick. I really loved Maverick's softness and how that softness played out in his relationships.
I would have loved for this to be longer, so we could have more time to see the emotional connections blossom and build. I really enjoyed the story for what it was though.

This book pulled me in from page one and didn’t let go. Three football players, off-the-charts chemistry, and kinks that were written with care...it was hot and heartfelt all at once. I loved Maverick’s softness, especially how Reese and Quinton supported him and balanced the dynamic.

Yes, I wish it had been a bit longer so the emotional side had more time to breathe, but what we got was still fantastic. The d/s dynamics, the forgiveness, the vulnerability, and even the lace-and-leather “Princess” moments...absolutely nailed it.

This story was thoughtful, consensual, and seriously addictive. I devoured it and can’t wait to read more from the Playing for Keeps world.

I’m rating this gem of a book 4 stars. If you like mmm, daddy dom/switch/boy, minimal angst, men talking about their feelings, strict rules, super loving and caring daddy, great spice, and you may even develop a liking for a new kink like I did, a hea… then you will love this book.

Rae has done a great job in writing a light and fast paced book. I think I would have gone 5 stars if parts of the story had gone into more detail, but the story didn’t suffer without extra bits.

I can’t wait to read Rae’s next book..

Like Stetson, the first book in this series, this was an off the chart hot, spicy MMM story. There are green silk panties, (which match Mavs eyes), a couple of interesting dom/sub relationships, and lots of spice. The story line is interesting and the three main characters, although different, fit together really well.

I feel the characters’ backstories, especially Reese’s, could have been more in depth. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, loved the ending, and am looking forward to more stories from this universe.

This is the second book in the Playing for Keeps series, but it works perfectly as a standalone. This time, the focus shifts to Maverick, the best friend of book one’s main character, Stetson. I flew through this story—it’s such an easy read to get into, with a well-paced plot that kept me hooked. It also features some of my favorite tropes, paired with hot, spicy scenes that definitely deliver. If you enjoy MM+ romances and tropes like feminisation and watersports, this book is definitely worth picking up.

Maverick has a hook up with Diesel, a Dom and football teammate, as it turns out on his new team. Also on that team is his ex-boyfriend Reese. In this MMM book, Diesel is a Daddy with Maverick his Princess, Maverick is a Switch who Soft Doms Reese. Their is a lot of kinks with feminization, watersports, lots of Domming and aftercare. I enjoyed Diesel and Maverick the most with their relationship hitting all the right notes for me but the three guys make it work for all of them. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.

Very sweet, heartwarming, spicy book. It's quick and easy to read. I loved reading Maverick's story, I was completely hooked since the first chapters, and devoured it in one sitting. I I loved Maverick and Diesel, and their connection, I struggled a bit with Reese, and missed maybe a bit more connection between him and the others. really enjoyed the sexy scenes, I am usually not a big fan of feminisation but it worked very well and I loved it here, and the water sport is quite light.

I got an ARC and this is my honest review.

Oh heck yeah, this was fun! I love a quick but full/complete Mm romance. This did waste anytime on extra nonsense or fillers, we just got the story and the hot as hell spice and the cuteness with no dillydally and I appreciated the heck out of that. Maverick is a precious bean, Quinton(aka Diesel) is the most Daddy that ever daddied, and Reese is the brattiest brat that is learning from his past mistakes. I enjoyed this and am hoping we get a book for Beckham next in the hockey world 😬 also loveeeed that we got several cameos from Stetson and his men.

Maverick is so sweet and the best princess around. He deserved all the love he got from his two guys. Honestly the way these three interacted was perfect. The spice was absolutely fantastic. The shower scene... oh my goodness that was hot. But also I loved seeing bits of Stetson as well. I love that these are all interconnected and even references the club Peaches from Ashley Raynes series. I loved it.
I received and ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

YIPPEE HOLY MOLY was this fun and spicy!

I was hooked from start to finish and read it in one sitting.
I loved the chemistry between Maverick, Quinton and Reece.
I loved how Stetson and his men were weaved in.
My only complaint is that I want more.
I didn’t want it to end.
