Sapphire Creek #3

The Chance of You

Rate this book
“I’m moving back.”

With those three words from Nathan McAllister, my quiet life unraveled.

It took me years to get over my first love. It was hard to accept he was living the life we’d planned to share.

But now he’s back. And not just for our high school reunion.

He and his daughter, Teagan, are my new neighbors.

I go to great lengths to avoid him, but Sapphire Creek just isn’t big enough.

When Teagan begs me for baking lessons so she can enter the annual baking competition, I can’t refuse the sweet girl with bright eyes. Even if the deal involves seeing more of her father.

While we mix, knead, and taste test our creations, I stifle the sting of my messy past with Nate.

But I can’t keep denying the tension between us, the way our stares tend to linger, or the heat every time our hands brush.

Our attraction burns more fiercely than ever. Innocent baked treats soon turn into glasses of wine and overdue confessions, which lead to raw, sizzling kisses. We can’t get enough of each other.

There’s just one problem—we fell in love once, and it ended in heartache.

The closer we get to living happily ever after this time around, the more the past comes back to break us, once and for all. But only if we let it.

**The Chance of You, the steamy third book in the Sapphire Creek series, is coming soon! Don't miss this small town romance, where the single dad returns to his hometown and reconnects with the coffee truck owner, aka "the one who got away."

To authors everywhere, can we PLEASE stop with all these 2nd chance tropes of having the MMC move on, find love with someone else, get married & have a family while FMC always stays frozen? Is it too much to ask that they BOTH stay celibate and true to one another?

From reviews, this is a 10 year separation where MCs were childhood sweethearts and had plans for a HEA but miscommunication was what separated them but MMC didn't have a problem or waste time moving on and forgetting the supposedly love of his life since he got married to OW and has an 8 year old child - all while FMC didn't move on and suffered the loss.

Anyone else sick of this theme? How many 2nd chance plots are based on this same theme over & over again? Gazillion? Trillion? I guess heroines are not allowed to move on and find love with anyone else because then who will raise his kid and accept his crumbs. Ugh!

It's 2026 people, not the middle ages.

Note to self-
the misogynist TRASH trope of keeping FMC as frozen for 10 damn years while MMC gets to marry, have sex and have a child as well!!!
Some books look like they were written by a man. Here's another one. 0 stars.

I liked parts of this book. I thought about rating it 2 stars but I appreciated the writing. My main problem with this story is that the fmc basically is on stand by for 10
Years. Meanwhile— I love toSay meanwhile —it reminds me of The Nanny!🤣Meanwhile the H goes off to LA, gets a girl Preggers and gets married. He was supposed to be waiting for his childhood sweetheart/bff/love of his life… hmm the dude sure got busy reall fast despite all
Of his promises and undying love. You know. Abuse when he shows up 10
Years later he’s still madly in love with the fmc. Sorry I’m
Not buying what you’re selling. On the other side of the tracks the fmc has been pining away for 10
Years with nary a sexcapade in sight. What you talking about Willis? Sure Jan!

The Chance of You is a small town, single-dad romance that will have you squealing, swooning, and screaming. Nate and Maren were high school sweethearts who had big plans to go through life together. However, some choices, chances, and misunderstanding lead to their break up. Maren never leaves the little town of Sapphire Creek while Nate has gone on to fulfill his dreams, get married, and have a daughter. Ten years later, Nate moves back in town with his little girl, divorced and seeking a second chance with Maren. But does he deserve the second chance? I will admit, I was screaming the whole time because I didn't want Maren to forgive Nate for all the promises he broke. But by the novel’s end, I definitely felt that both characters found their healing. This novel is about second chances, not just in love but also in life. It is also about healing from traumas that hold us hostage and realizing when something is enough. I love how Nate and Maren eventually found forgiveness and rekindled the love they never lost. I especially loved Nate’s tattoos - you’ll have to read to find out why. If you want a romance read that just hits right, check this one out.

Maren and Nathan met when they were kids as neighbors. They became friends and then a couple. It was al very natural with them, first love and all.
But life had other plans for them and they broke up. It took many years for her to get over the heartbreak and for him travel the world and have a kid to know that she was the one that got away.
Now he’s back and although It’s all very familiar, the past still lingers. And them being neighbors again doesn’t help.

If this isn’t a legitimate second chance story, I don’t know what is? Because Maren and Nathan give all the tension, attraction and yearning you can imagine possible. This is a great story, that gives us a little drama with a whole lot of spice. I really enjoyed it!

Maren and Nate finally get their second chance! I absolutely loved The Chance of You by Georgia Coffman. The Chance of You is a second chance at first love story. It is the third and final book in her Sapphire Creek series, a bittersweet book for me. Georgia Coffman is quickly becoming a must-read author for me; she is an amazing storyteller. I was hooked from the first few pages of The Chance of You, it was impossible to put down, and I loved every moment on this page turner. It was one of the most enjoyable books that I have read recently! The Chance of You is the story of Maren Clayton, owner of the lavender-colored Cream and Sugar coffee truck and Nathan “Nate” McAllister, travel photographer and single father of eight-year-old daughter, Teagan. Maren and Nathan were childhood neighbors, best friends and high school sweethearts, who bonded over a baby turtle. They have not spent time with each other in ten years, when Nate headed to California for college. Long distance and personal issues for Maren caused them to end their relationship. Nathan ends up getting married to his pregnant girlfriend, Sabrina. Sabrina and Nate eventually divorce. Nathan returns to Sapphire Creek for his class reunion. While Nathan is in Sapphire Creek Maren learns that he is relocating to Sapphire Creek with his daughter, Teagan. Maren offers to help Teagan with her cookie entry in the Thanksgiving Bake-Off. As Maren, Teagan and Nathan spend time together baking cookies and being neighbors, things heat up between Maren and Nathan. I love everything that they do together in Sapphire Creek. Maren’s relationship with Teagan is one of my favorite parts of the story, especially since Maren always dreamed of having children with Nathan. I love the chemistry between Maren and Nathan. Conversation between Maren and Nathan flows so easily, with innuendos and playful banter. I love that they share secrets about what happened in their lives that lead to their breaking up and estrangement. One of my favorite parts is the nickname “Lightning” that Nate calls Maren. Another favorite part are the tattoos that Nathan has on his body that are an homage to Maren, especially the location of the lightning bolt. Nathan realizes that Maren was not the one who got away, but she has always been the one. An unexpected plot twist has Maren questioning whether she is once again falling short with Nathan, as well as trust and abandonment issues. Heart-to-heart conversations between Maren, Caroline, and Addie, help Maren realize that she is not alone, has similarities with her friends, and what she needs to do. Another favorite part is when Maren and Nathan reconcile. I love the changes that they are willing to do to have a life with one another and all the things that they do together and with Teagan. My favorite part was the epilogue told from Nate’s perspective, and Nathan’s proposal, the significance of the location, and the engagement party that he planned at The Tipsy Tap. One of my favorite parts is the bonus epilogue told from Maren’s perspective that takes place two years later. It is the perfect ending of Maren and Nate’s love story. I love how Georgia Coffman managed to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. The Chance of You is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments, plot twists, and surprises that filled this page turner. I love the moments that made me laugh. I love the characters and the family dynamic in The Chance of You. The characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between their high school best friends; it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I love catching up with all the other characters in the series in this farewell to Sapphire Creek. I loved all the characters in The Chance of You, and the descriptions of the Sapphire Creek settings. I thoroughly enjoyed The Chance of You. It was the perfect ending to the Sapphire Creek series. Highly recommend this incredible love story.

ARC review for The Chance of You (4 ⭐ & 2.5🌶️)

This is a really great story about mistakes, forgiveness, personal growth and second chances. Maren and Nate had a beautiful love story and watching them succumb to the pull of the inevitable was so fun! I fully cried and laughed for both Maren and Nate more than once during this story.

Even though this is the third book in the Sapphire Creek series, I had no trouble jumping in here without reading the earlier books.

Maren pulled me in within the first few pages with her hilarious inner monologue and the way the author had her describe their beginning (literally on page 18 I wrote: "HE DID WHAT!?"). Maren was incredibly relatable - I spent the entire book mirroring her thoughts and kept thinking that if this was an alternate reality where fictional characters could be real, we would fully be friends. On the outside she appears strong, confident, and sure of the path she is currently on, but we soon learn there’s a lot more going on beneath the surface than she initially lets on. There's a portion of the story, where she realizes things about herself, and I read with so much intention because she spoke a truth that many of us feel. I don't want to give anything away, but honestly one of my favorite parts in the book. Also, her relationship with her sister!? I felt for her in so many ways and was so proud of her unapologetically speaking her truth!!

Then there's Nate - you really start off in this book going "awwww" and pages later you want to smack him upside the head with your Kindle (remember that page 18 note? haha). That being said, I thought the author did a great job capturing the self doubt that he experienced and how those feelings changed the course of his life. It was frustrating at times to watch him seem completely oblivious to how those choices affected the people around him. But seeing him make his amends and relentlessly pursue the life he always wanted, even when it seemed like it was gone forever, made up for it. I loved his dad moments with Teagan and appreciated that the author showed a healthy co-parenting relationship with her mother.

In regards to the storyline itself - I love me a good small town romance, but I find that a lot of authors make it all about how they can't wait to leave and move on to something "bigger and better". I'm all for improvement and following your dreams, but it was really nice to instead read a story where people are happy to be in this small town, and in fact cannot imagine themselves anywhere else. The best friends and other side characters really rounded out the whole reading experience. They provided comic relief, serious conversations, and the swift kick in the butt that some of our characters needed.

At its heart, this story really is about timing, forgiveness, and what it means to come back to something that never fully let go of you. Watching Maren and Nate navigate who they were versus who they’ve become made their second chance feel earned rather than inevitable, which I always appreciate in this trope. Their story felt honest, messy in the most human way, and ultimately very hopeful, which made it such a satisfying read.

If you enjoy small town romances with strong friendships, family dynamics, personal growth, and a second-chance love story that truly takes its time unfolding, this one is definitely worth picking up.

Huge thank you to Georgina Coffman for the ARC!

I was a sobbing mess reading this book. Second chance romances always hit a little harder for me - they’re emotional, messy, and full of “what ifs.” It’s not my go-to trope, and I don’t always agree with the choices characters make when they’re younger, but in this case, it made the story feel more real.

Maren and Nate had their future planned out since high school: graduate, move to LA, and start their life together. But when Maren’s plans fall through, she has to stay behind while Nate moves forward without her. What was supposed to be temporary distance turns into something permanent, driven by miscommunication, timing, and unresolved feelings. Nate ultimately ends their relationship and builds a completely different life.

Ten years later, he returns to Sapphire Creek - divorced, with a daughter, and now living next door to Maren.

Their reunion is anything but easy. It’s awkward, emotional, and complicated in a very realistic way. Nate seems to expect things to fall into place more easily than they do, while Maren is understandably overwhelmed by his return and everything it brings back.

One of the strongest aspects of this book is its pacing. The romance is a true slow burn, which works well given their history. There’s a lot of hurt, unanswered questions, and lingering emotions that need to be addressed, and I appreciated that the story didn’t rush that process. Maren doesn’t forgive easily, and Nate has to put in the effort to earn her trust again.

At the core, both characters struggle with the same insecurity - never feeling like they were enough for each other. Watching them work through that and finally come to terms with their self-worth was one of the most satisfying parts of the story.

Even after everything, it’s clear they were always meant to find their way back to each other.

That said, I can’t help but feel a little heartbroken that Nate didn’t fight for Maren in the beginning. It’s something that stayed with me throughout the book. But at the same time, without that choice, we wouldn’t have had this second chance story.

Overall, a very emotional and well-paced read. While second chance romance isn’t my favorite trope, this one was done in a way that kept me fully invested.

The Chance of You completely swept me away and left me in my feelings in the best possible way. From the very first line, I knew this was going to be one of those stories that digs into your heart and refuses to let go.

Georgia Coffman created something really special with Nate and the heroine’s story. Second chance romance always has a certain kind of magic, but this one felt so real and so lived in. You can feel the history between them in every glance, every bit of tension, and every moment they try to pretend they are unaffected by each other. It is impossible not to get pulled into their push and pull.

Nate absolutely stole my heart. There is something so powerful about a man who comes back knowing what he lost and is willing to face it head on. Add in the fact that he is a devoted dad to Teagan, and it is game over. Teagan brought such a warmth to the story too. The baking lessons were some of my favorite scenes because they felt soft and genuine, while also quietly rebuilding something that never truly went away.

What I loved most is how the story balances that cozy small town charm with deep emotional layers. Sapphire Creek feels like a place you could step right into, and the relationships feel just as real. The chemistry between Nate and his first love is undeniable, but it is the vulnerability and the honesty between them that makes this story shine.

The romance builds in a way that feels natural and intense all at once. The lingering looks, the unspoken words, the moments where everything finally spills over had me completely hooked. And when the past comes back into play, it adds just the right amount of tension to make you ache for their happy ending.

Georgia Coffman has such a beautiful way of writing emotion. Nothing feels rushed or overdone. It feels authentic, heartfelt, and deeply satisfying.

If you love small town romance, second chances, single dad tropes, and stories that make you feel everything, The Chance of You is one you absolutely need on your list. This one is pure heart with just the right amount of heat, and I did not want it to end.

This was a beautiful story about second chances and finally getting the ever after you deserve!

Maren and Nate where best friends turned into high school sweethearts with big plans for their future unfortunately some things happened and while Nate went out to live his life Maren stay in her small town of Sapphire Creek with a broken heart and shattered dreams.

Years later Nate is back into town for the high school reunion and Maren hopes is quick visit however she gets the shocking news that Nate is moving back along his daughter Teagan and on top of that they are her new neighbors.

Nate knows that the only woman he ever truly loved was Maren and he tries to make things right with her unfortunately she doesn't want anything to do with him, something he knows he deserves, specially after finding out the true reasons why Maren ended things with him. When Maren volunteers to help his daughter in the town cookie contest he knows he needs to do everything possibly to finally show Maren what she has always meant for him.

Nate and Maren's relationship is very bumpy, they both have to face some unresolved feelings that were heartbreaking but very important in healing their relationship. Maren doesn't forgive easily and I loved that Nate really had to work hard to earn her forgiveness.

Overall this was a great story with a very happy ending. I loved the small town atmosphere and the found family aspect with the group of friends Maren and Nate had. I really loved the relationship Maren forms with Teagan and how she was able to finally get her HEA.

The Chance of You went far beyond a typical light romance for me and I absolutely loved it. What really stood out for me was the depth to the story. I will try to keep this review spoiler-free.

The emotional journey of both main characters pulled me in completely. I felt their struggles (both external and internal), celebrated their wins, and ached through their push-and-pull dynamic. Most of all, I loved watching their growth unfold. Nothing ever felt lacking while reading the story but for some reason I am longing for more insight into Nate. Which I can't quite put a finger on because the author certainly expanded and went into detail for both him and Maren. It could be that I am just sad the book had to end.

The supporting characters and various subplots added richness throughout. Nate's daughter, Teagan, stole my heart and I especially appreciated the way Maren's connection with her developed naturally and outside of Maren's own relationship with Nate. The storyline involving Teagan's mom was also a meaningful and well-woven addition.

The book does start a bit slower but likely necessary to support how their relationship evolves. Once the story picks up it delivers; I smiled, cried, laughed, and cried some more (many of them happy tears). I have enjoyed all of the Sapphire Creek books but this one is definitely my favourite.

Thank you Georgia for my very first ARC!

I have heard so much about Ms. Coffman, that I decided to grab her most recent release and jump in. This story is about Nathan and Maren and is a second chance, small town romance. Maren has stayed in their small town after graduation instead of following the plan that her and Nate had put in place. They break up and Nate ends up married with a baby and Maren, stays where she is and ends up opening a coffee truck and making amazing cookies. Nate comes back for his 10-year reunion, divorced and makes the decision that it is time to move home. It takes one look and both are thrown back at the strength of the chemistry that still sizzles below the surface. As they try to be friends, they learn that the heartache caused, was from both sides trying to grasp but not communicate their feelings. I appreciate that we are getting to see that it wasn’t just one side at fault for this. Both MC’s must learn and grow, even 10 years later, to become the best version of themselves. It takes a beautiful 8 year old girl to help them both come together and see what is in front of them so they don’t lose the second chance at love.

A beautifully written second-chance love story that had me emotional from cover to cover. I have always enjoyed Ms. Coffman's storylines and her characters but this one hits just the right spot for a must-read book. I love being back in Sapphire Creek with all the characters and the drama, as well as a few laughs. Now, don't get me wrong, there were plenty of scenes that had a couple of tears forming in my eyes. Her stories will weave themselves into your heart and leave you feeling elated.

Nate and Maren's story will wreck your heart and have you wanting to hug both of them. Two people who had their lives planned out together but life had other ideas for each of them. He left, she stayed and hearts were shattered. Now he is back with his daughter, Teagan, and Maren has put up walls, but he is slipping under the walls, trying to break them down. Teagan adds so much life to the scenes she is in. She makes you smile and laugh. Maren is also taken aback by her and they form a friendship that now has Nate in Maren's space more than she wanted. Or is she enjoying having him around more than she expected? Their journey to their HEA is not all rainbows and sunshine but in the end, it is perfect. I loved how Nate never gave up on wanting to win her back.

This is an emotional, small-town second-chance romance about a first love that never truly faded. Maren completely stole my heart; she’s strong, hardworking, and so easy to root for, yet deeply shaped by abandonment fears and lingering doubts about her worth. For her, Nate’s return felt less like a new beginning and more like a final goodbye she needed to move on. However, being around him again brought everything back: the feelings, the memories, and the insecurities she thought she had buried. While their attraction is still there and their connection is very real, especially in the quiet moments and in the way she bonds so naturally with his daughter, I struggled with Nate. After everything, he seemed to want a fresh start a little too easily, while Maren had to confront years of hurt and unhealed wounds. Watching her spiral under the weight of those emotions felt painfully honest, and even though I appreciated their growth and the way they rebuilt something more mature, I was definitely cheering for Maren more than Nate. Overall, a heartfelt and engaging read with strong emotional depth, even if I wasn’t fully convinced by the hero’s redemption. I needed more grovel, more accountability, more effort from him to truly earn her back. Good book!!! Recommended!!

This was so sweet and emotional! I adore second chance trope and throw in single dad I am a goner!

Nate and Maren were high school sweethearts and had plans for after the graduated. Things changed and they ended up drifting apart. Now ten years later Nate is back in their hometown with his eight year old daughter. Not only have they moved back to Sapphire Creek they live right next door to Maren.

This reunion between Nate and Maren was not easy. They had to fight through a lot of past emotions and actually talk about what happened ten years ago. It was emotional and hard but in the end it was so beautiful to see them finally let go of the past so they could have a future together. The chemistry was so good and they had a connection that only a second chance romance could have. But even with that they had to learn who they are today because they are not the same people they were back then. Nate's daughter was such a special character and I loved that she had such a big role in their story. And also the co parenting between Nate and his ex was so refreshing and I loved that their was zero drama between them. The girl gang in this was so good! Those girls are ride or die and I loved it! This was such a sweet and emotional story and I loved the hard fought HEA they deserved!

-Second Chance
-High School Sweethearts
-Single Dad

The Chance Of You : Sapphire Creek Series . Well Georgia has officially wrecked me , just wrecked me in all the best ways and by the end all shattered pieces were somehow put right back together again . something about Nate and Maren really had my heart , I just felt such a connection to both . I loved the chemistry between them but it was so much more than that . The things they went through both together and separately, just resonated with me in the most unexpected of ways. I loved the progression of their relationship, I loved that it wasn’t all hearts and flowers because relationships just like in every day life are not meant to be easy , they take work . And Nate and Maren most definitely had to overcome so many things to find their happy ending. Nate and Maren had their entire future planned out together, but circumstances tore them apart , one decision left them both completely heartbroken and it’s not until many years later they finally get their second chance at love . But can they find their way back to each other? Can they forgive and learn to trust each other again ?

After years away Nate has finally returned home, this time as a single dad and living right next door to the girl he left behind. Maren had her heart broken and she is not happy about Nate being her new neighbor. The way these two feel about each other has never changed after all the years apart and the heartbreak they have experienced.

Maren and Nate deserve a second chance, they are perfect for each other and they have both grown in the years apart. There is so much chemistry between them and so many pivotal moments throughout their young lives they share together. Add in how much Nate’s daughter, Teagan, loves Maren and there is no way Nate is going to waste the second chance he has been given. I love that Maren doesn’t make it easy for him, too.

There are a lot of ups and downs and emotions that come into play, but the slow burn to them finally getting another chance is absolutely worth it in the end.

If you’re looking for a small town, neighbors, second chance, single dad romance check this one out.

“True, unyielding love can fix even the most broken of hearts.”

Oh my heart! Georgia what did you do to me?! 😆

Maren and Nate were childhood best friends turned high school sweethearts, they were each other’s first love and had plans for the future. But life had other plans and they went on their separate ways.
Ten years later Nate is back in Sapphire Creek with his daughter Teagan. Soon they’re spending time together and even sharing kisses, they went down this road before, will it end differently or will they end up in heartache again?

So much emotions especially with the kind of past they had, broken promises and just pure heartbreak. Georgia did an amazing job of breaking my heart and putting it back together. There were definitely tense moments when they were talking about what went wrong with their relationship and what could it mean for the future, I think they did a great job handling it.

A small town second chance at love between childhood best friends turned high school sweethearts with swoon, spicy and sweet treats!

What a book this was! What a second chance! Chapter one already summoned the butterflies in my chest to flutter wildly. And that feeling lasted all throughout the book! I don’t know how many times I shivered as tingles ran down my spine every time Nate and Maren are together in a scene. I lost count of the number of times I sighed and had gotten giddy over Nate’s words to Maren to show her how much he wants her. I don’t even know if I ever stopped smiling while reading this incredible book! It is that amazing!!

The longing and yearning in each pages are uncanny! I commend Maren for staying strong and standing her ground because I would have folded the first time Nate made it clear that he wants her!! I love how Nathan didn’t shy away from the issues Maren had and worked on himself for chance of having her again. I just really adore how Nate took on things.

The Chance Of You entails impeccable writing, impressive MCs and emotional intimate scenes that you can feel all the way to your soul. A 5 star masterpiece of love, romance and smut! Truly a must-read!

I loved this book so much so that I devoured it in 24 hrs. It flowed so well, didn’t feel rushed or too slow. The details of the environment, of their past and present, was never too much. It portrayed everything perfectly so that you could really connect and see everything in your mind. The way the author shaped Maren’s trauma and portrayed it exactly as it could be was fantastic and felt very realistic. Even the way she brought Nate’s “trauma” in, which was so innocent and something that we, as parents, would never even think could affect our children the way it did Nate. It was eye opening! I definitely teared up multiple times throughout the book, laughed out loud, felt their happiness and pain, it brought all the feels, including the spice! Wooooo! 🌶️🌶️🌶️! Thank you so much to the author, Georgia Coffman, for gifting me this ARC for my honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the others in the series!

A second chance at love for Maren and Nate in this slow burn romance novel.

Nate returns to his hometown after being away for ten years. He’s recently divorced and brings his daughter with him. His love for Maren never faded; she was on his mind all these years. She, in turn, has never gotten over him leaving, although her feelings at the time were ambivalent.
They take their time to discover where they stand now and what they expect from each other and from life.

~~We’re two puzzle pieces forming a whole.~~

Nate’s daughter Teagan is such a wonderful kid!

It’s a cute story that I really enjoyed, but I could’ve done without details such as each character’s preferred coffee taste, or naming each and every kind of cookie Maren baked, lol.
The epilogue is lovely!

It’s a standalone story in an interconnected series. I haven’t read any of the other books but didn’t miss any information to enjoy this one.
I received an arc of this ebook and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

I love a good second chance romance, add in single dad and I was so excited to read this book! I really enjoyed Maren and Nate’s story 💜

Maren and Nate are high school sweethearts, they had plans of moving to California together for college. Plans changed and Maren can’t go, this temporary distance is suddenly changing to long term. Nate has moved on and started a family, but 10 years later he’s back in town for their high school reunion. He’s now divorced, a single dad to his daughter Teagan. To make matters worse, he’s living next door to Maren in his childhood home.

I really appreciated the pacing of this book, the fact that Maren didn’t immediately jump back into a relationship with Nate. They took the time they needed, even though the chemistry was very much still there. I also loved Maren’s relationship with Teagan, it was so sweet! If you’re looking for a sweet second chance romance, check this one out 💜

Thank you to Georgia Coffman for the arc!

Childhood sweethearts that separated due to circumstances and ten years later they are reacquainted. Nat left Sapphire Creek and the love of his life for college expecting Maren to join him but life had other plans. Ten years later after Nat got to live the life he wanted, married then get divorced and have an 8 yr old child he finally realises that his heart was always with Maren and Sapphire Creek. I admit this was beautifully written and it did pull at the heartstrings and also loved that they weren’t portrayed as perfect as both characters had their own insecurities, enjoyed the relationship between Nats daughter and FMc and of course the ex wife ( she knew that Maren was always the one for Nat) and of course it was so great to catch up with the other couples. Second chance love with a little heat, plenty of laughs and wonderful friendships. So sad to be leaving Sapphire Creek but look forward to whatever comes next and if you’ve read the bonus epilogue like I have you’ll get a little glimpse of the new characters.

“This is a second chance for us. A second chance at love.”

Maren and Nathan were such a perfect second chance romance! I’ll be honest, I was nervous how we were going to forgive Nathan for why they broke up the first time but as the truth came out throughout the book it was so easy to see they deserved their second chance. Sapphire Creek is such an adorable town and I am going to miss everyone there so much!

Maren and Nathan were high school sweethearts with so many dreams picked out. They were going to move to California and do so many great things. However when the time came, only Nathan went and ten years went by. Hearing how those years were spent was heartbreaking but how they came together was so touching.

“For me, Maren was never the one who got away—she’s always just been the one.”

🔥: “Patience, Lightning.”

I loved the first books in the Sapphire Creek series and was thrilled to learn that Maren and Nate were going to be the couple of The Chance of You. I was immediately hooked and drawn into the story. A single dad, second chance story will always be my favorite.

High School sweethearts, but distance in college, then ten years pass and a high school reunion bring Nathan back to Sapphire Creek. A cookie entry in the bake off begins the reunion for Nathan and Maren.

I love how the two build their relationship organically, the lingering looks, the awkward tension, and as Nathan realizes Maren is the one who got away.

This book has all my favorite tropes, and they are done well, the small town, the single dad, and the second chance at love.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Review of an advanced reader copy from Author.

The final book in the Sapphire Creek Novel. It is so bittersweet and it wraps up the series nicely.

Maren and Nate are high school sweet hearts that everyone thought they would be together forever. Of course that didn't happen. They broke up and lived their own lives. Nate moved out to pursue his career while Maren remained in their small town. Nate moves back home and they meet again. There's a lot of things left unsaid while attraction continues.

Even though their love story is the main plot, there are other subplots like with Maren's sister or Maren's purpose in life with her career. The support they both have is lovely. There's no other woman/ex's drama which is lovely.

Wow! Such a gorgeous book
This story definitely had me from the start and kept tugging at my heartstrings all the way through.
With such loveable main characters and sub characters I could not stop reading.
Nathan and Maren were both portrayed beautifully with the author showing their strengths, weaknesses and love for each other so poignantly.
Little Teagan was also a delight.
The storyline was fun, emotional at times, showed how wonderful both characters family and friendship groups were, was also steamy and the emotions felt throughout seemed so real and achingly sweet.
Loved how Nathan was in for the long haul and never gave up on Maren.
An amazing story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Thank you Georgia Coffman for the opportunity to read this beautiful story.

I loved this book so much so that I devoured this in a day. I definitely teared up multiple times throughout the book, laughed out loud, felt the roller coaster of emotions and it was also spicy. Nate and Maren's story will wreck you and have you wanting to hug them. Life pulled them apart as they were planing their life together. Hearts were broken, walls were built and it stayed that way for 10 years. Now he is back with his daughter, Teagan, and Maren’s walls are still put so she doesn’t get hurt again. Their journey to a second chance took sometime but it was well worth the wait and it all worked out in the end. I loved how Nate never gave up on wanting to win her back. I completely fell in love with this book and its characters!
