Assassins and thieves and hackers, oh my! The only thing is missing is—wait nope—badass child acquired!
This omnibus How to Shield an Assassin, How to Steal a Thief, How to Hack a Hacker, and the up till now Holiday story exclusive How to Marry an Assassin! How to Shield an AssassinIt’s not stealing if you’re stealing it back….
Ari had a game plan for life. Shoot people. Get money. Hang out with fellow criminal friends. He saw absolutely no reason to change that plan until one dark night in Memphis, when a little girl reached out to him with pocket change and a desperate plea for help.
Adopting an abused little girl off the streets was, needless to say, not part of the plan. Ari has no idea what to do with an eight-year-old. Things get more complicated when a mercenary, Carter Harrison, approaches him with a job. He needs Ari’s expertise to get into the very high-security museum and steal back Monet’s Bridge Over a Pond of Water Lilies.
The job isn’t an easy one. It will take more than the two of them to make it happen. The situation is further complicated because Ari’s not sure what to do with his new daughter while working this job. And for that matter, how’s he supposed to handle the sexy mercenary?
Not child safe but child approved, children know best, Remi approves this book, idiots in love, but Remi loves them anyway, criminals make the best uncles, family of choice, Ari acknowledges Remi as the smarter one, Carter admits his own insanity, nothing blows up, Ivan is very disappointed by this, Kyou has PLANS for Remi, licking solves all problems, bedsheets, life skills, children should come with warning labels, it’s not stealing if you’re stealing it BACK, right?, the author once again regrets nothing

She currently resides in Tennessee with aforementioned cats, dogs, and her editor/best friend/sister/partner in crime.
4.5 stars. Audiobook. 3-book series, featuring a different couple in each book, but heavy appearances of found-family throughout the series. Not recommended as a stand-alone as there are a ton or relationships and inside jokes. Antiheroes. Stories of an assassin, hacker and a world-class thief that find their special someone.
The writing is excellent, narration is great. The series gets better and better as the group adds friends and allies. Wonderful balance of romance and plot, an enjoyable series.
Could not put this book (well books actually) down! The characters were so loveable, and I especially appreciated how the friendship between Ivan, Kyou and Ari expanded to include Carter, Aiden, Bran and of course Remi. The sarcastic quips and snipes from each character made this so much more enjoyable - I love the author's humour! A must read for anyone looking for a rabbit hole to fall into for a few days!
Whilst I’ve read these three books individually I was due for a re read and a good boxed set/collection is the best way to do that! Ivan will always have a special place in my heart as I truly adore a crazy Russian but all the other guys were fantastic characters too! AJ is one of favourite authors for laugh out loud banter
