There are very few surprises in this one.

Since you hate everyone (you really, really do), you don't care who lives or dies or how.

It was pretty clear who was doing the bad things from the start and, while the author tried to drop some red herrings, they were largely ineffective.

It's entertaining enough and fine for a beach read.

🎶 I'm tired of feeling like I'm fucking crazy. I'm tired of driving 'til I see stars in my eyes. 🎶

Bianca’s (h) life seems perfect - a loving husband, two small children, and a beautiful home on a quiet cul-de-sac that feels like the safest place on earth. But everything changes when a new neighbor moves in next door. She’s Jack’s ex.

“Stop playing games,” I shout. “Just tell me who she is. It’s Nicole, isn’t it?” I flip the Polaroid over and tap the small writing. “J + N. Jack and Nicole. Admit it.”

As soon as it was hinted that there was a second girlfriend or a behind-the-scenes maniac trying to sabotage the marriage, I immediately suspected Ellie. I figured, “What could possibly be the biggest plot twist to shock someone?” Since she was the closest person to Bianca, it made sense. I didn’t buy that Nicole was really behind it all. I was honestly a bit disappointed that I was right. I feel like it could have been a bigger twist. I don’t even know what I was expecting, but this wasn’t it. It was frustrating to see both characters so off, and yet he stayed with Nora. I guess it made sense for their characters, but they were both psychotic, and in the end, he was just manipulated by her.

“Bianca, you don’t understand.”

The past and present chapters didn’t really capture my interest. Honestly, I just wasn’t invested enough in the story to care about the twist or whether she got off in the end. My main thought was about her kids, especially since Nora didn’t seem to care about being a mother. I don’t think she’d tolerate them just for him - she already had her two kids. I don’t know, this whole thing was a mess.

To be fair, he had gotten rid of his sister, so maybe it was karma that things played out the way they did.

This was a good read! I really enjoyed it. The concept was excellent. Can you imagine if an ex and associated baggage moved in next door?

The story was nicely written and flowed well. It was descriptive and kept me on the edge of my seat. I thought I had it all figured out and then there was a great plot twist and I ended up with a new conclusion. It was so good watching it all unfold.

The characters were really good but excluding the children, each of the adults had at least one unlikable quality! It all meant that it worked in the concept of the novel!

The book is written in first person from the perspectives of Bianca and The Ex. This was worked really well. We had two kind of unreliable and misleading narrators telling us the story. It was very well done!

I recommend this, it was a gritty thriller with shock factor!

Oh WOW! This book grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go!
Watching Bianca and Jack navigate the fallout of his infidelity is a masterclass in tension. The close-knit community adds layers of complexity, especially with the arrival of the enigmatic Nicole, whose connection to their past is instantly intriguing.

The author expertly paces the emotional highs and lows, making your opinion of Jack decline while you fiercely champion Bianca. Just when you think you know where it's going, the final twist hits like a punch to the gut. A truly excellent read I'd highly recommend!
Many thanks to Joffe Books for the ARC.

This is my first read by this author but I was so taken with the front cover image, I was definitely excited to jump in and see what this had to offer.

I read a lot of this genre and I feel like I can spot a good psychological thriller cover now and although some of the premises are pretty similar, these work so well that I just can't get enough.

In this story we meet Bianca and Jack who seem to have the perfect life together.

When their neighbours move out, Bianca gets a shock when she realises that the new owner is actually Jack's Ex!

I loved the dual pov chapters which tell the story through Bianca's eyes and an anonymous narrator. I thought it was pretty obvious that the other pov was going to be Nicole, the ex, but as the story develops we see a fair few twists and turns which throw things in their head and kept me guessing right to the big reveal at the end - which I definitely didn't see coming!

The writing style was fast paced and I was so sucked into the storyline that I read almost half the book in one sitting!

I just couldn't put it down!

This is an author that I'll be looking out for in the future and I can't wait to read more.

I quite enjoy this book! I could give it another 0.5 - 1 star but couldn't due to the thing near the ending.

Synopsis
Bianca and Jack lived their happy family life when one day, Jack's infamous ex moved to the house next door. Nicole was known as the unhinged ex and Bianca swore she wouldn't let Nicole ruin her happiness with Jack.

Likes and Dislikes
I like the double povs the book use and although as an avid mystery reader I knew where this goes, I still got pleasantly surprised. The writing is solid! Eventhough I didn't really like the infodump and long paragraph (it's a personal preference), but it didn't hinder much for me to keep devouring the book. I finished it in one day and it should say much.
The twist is also great, but what I didn't like (again, it's personal) is .
Other than that I've got no critics, will definitely keep an eye on this author!

" I want him back. And I want her gone."

The Ex by Alex Sinclair is a twisted psychological thriller full of tension, unease, and obsession.

Bianca and Jack have been together for close to twenty years. Married with two young children, they seem to have an idyllic life, if only from the outside looking in. But cracks in their already fragile marriage start to show when a new neighbor moves in next door. When they realize that it is one of Jack's ex girlfriends, they are instantly on high alert. Nicole is a huge part of both Jack and Bianca's past and it's safe to say that their relationship did not end well. Why is she here after all these years? Bianca has her suspicions that Nicole is back to try to win Jack back and to wreak havoc on their lives, and soon Bianca is proved right in her assumption.

This book was an absolute wild ride!! It takes a little bit to get into the story, with a dual POV and a timeline that goes back 18 years and then forward to the present day, but I got hooked and couldn't put it down! The way the big reveal was presented was well placed and had me rethinking what I thought I knew. This was my first book by Alex Sinclair and I can confidently say I am a fan!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Alex Sinclair, and Joffe Books for this ARC!! Publication date is May 6th 2025.

What the bloody hell was that!! I have been a huge fan of Alex's for years now, and he always knows how to twist and turn and blind sight me....and boy, you are in for a ride with that one. I guessed one twist right when I was on top of it, but the rest....jaw drop, mic drop, bloody hell moment.

IT WAS FANTASTIC!

I just wanted to sit and read this in one sitting, and I was getting frustrated because I couldn't pick it up as much, and I wasn't getting through it quickly enough. I couldn't work out the 18-year-ago chapters...and when you see how it all fits together. *Mind blown*

Not going to lie, near the end I lost track of some of the dates, but I just didn't care. I wanted the end to come because I NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING!!

I felt for Bianca, everything was fine...well, it was ok...until Nicole, the ex, moved in next door and things literally hit the fan. It was such a rollercoaster of emotions, shocks all as we slowly learn what is going on.

This book did unfurl slowly, but at the same time, the pacing was fast! So much is going on, I was living every minute with Bianca, feeling it all.

I just want to scream about this from the rooftop! It's a book everyone needs to read. Then I can talk about it 🤣

Another stonking book and quite possibly the favourite this year...

You and your husband have a past; what long married couple doesn't? You've beat the odds and have managed to move past it all. Until it moves in next door, disrupting your life and exposing old wounds.

That premise had me hooked. I was so enticed by the secret part these three characters shared. However, there was a lit of waffling in which nothing much happened, and the same things were rehashed and rehashed again. That was frustrating, and I found myself skimming through several chapters to get to the meat of the story. With the fat trimmed, though, this is a thrilling tale with mystery and twists.

This book was a wild ride. It was a slow start and didn’t have me frantically turning pages to read more but it was a good story. I hated Bianca so that was part of the problem for me. You could tell she just wasn’t a good person and her being a bad mother bothered me. The ending of this book got wild. I’m a sucker for a crazy ending. The end makes the slow parts worth it. 3.5 rounded up. Thank you to NetGalley for my advanced copy!

This was an interesting one - 3.5 stars if I could but feel okay rounding up to 4. I’m a sucker for a stalker/obsession story so I wanted to read this immediately and, once starting it, was drawn in and couldn’t put it down. I think the author made it interesting having different perspectives and timelines but I did get a little lost near the end where some things started switching (without spoiling this).

Alex Sinclair’s psychological thriller, The Ex, starts with the kind of gripping premise that promises a five-star read. For the first two-thirds, the book delivers on this promise, establishing complex characters and weaving a taut, believable narrative about the lingering shadows of a husband’s past relationship. The writing is sharp, the pacing is meticulous, and the protagonist, Bianca's, descent into paranoia concerning her marital stability is expertly handled, suggesting a truly sophisticated exploration of trust, obsession, and emotional abuse.

The novel excels at character development, particularly in portraying the protagonist, Bianca. Initially presented as a strong, capable woman, her internal conflicts felt genuine, detailing a slow, painful unraveling due to mounting paranoia as the chaos caused by her husband's ex encroached on her life. This psychological deterioration was the anchor of the story. The subtle hints and rising tension surrounding her husband's mysterious former partner kept me turning pages late into the night. It felt like a carefully constructed chess game, with every piece placed with intention.

The Disastrous Final Chapter

Unfortunately, all that careful construction comes crashing down in the final chapter, creating an astonishingly jarring conclusion that completely derails the entire experience. It felt as though the author reached a word count limit or simply grew tired of the established narrative, deciding instead to throw every imaginable twist into a "kitchen sink" ending.

This sudden narrative whiplash introduces new, unbelievable motivations, hastily tying up loose ends while simultaneously creating new, contradictory ones. The greatest offense, however, is the complete contradiction of the protagonist's development. Bianca, who had spent the entire book as a fundamentally strong woman grappling with and slowly unraveling under intense paranoia, suddenly reverts to a caricature of her former self, making a series of inexplicable and illogical decisions. Furthermore, the husband’s actions in this final sequence feel entirely unrealistic, giving the unsettling impression that his entire married life with Bianca didn't matter or even exist to him. This choice completely undercuts the emotional investment the reader had made in her journey, leaving the climax feeling earned not by the characters, but only by the plot mechanics needed to shock the reader.

Final Verdict

The Ex is a textbook example of a great premise and execution crippled by a failure to stick the landing. It’s a genuinely engrossing psychological thriller with incredible potential that simply runs out of steam—or perhaps, tries to run too fast—in its final moments. It's still worth reading for the excellent majority, but be prepared for a frustrating and nonsensical conclusion that will likely leave you shaking your head.

Disclosure: I would like to thank the publisher and author for my advanced review copy of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I'm being overly cautious with the spoiler tags as some people like to read books without knowing any details.

The Ex starts with a bang. Eighteen years ago, someone tells us a story about herself and her object of affection, who she refers as J + N. The narrator tells us that she was groomed by her college professor. In the present day, Bianca tells us about her new neighbour who has just moved into the house next door. She laments the loss of her close friendship with the couple who is moving out, and tells us about her day-to-day with her children and husband Jackson, who goes by Jack. What happens next will shock you to the core...

I loved this book from start to finish. I love, love, love a good villian story! I love that we know straight from the beginning that Nicole is connected to Bianca and Jack's past, and we know that she has a plan to destroy them.

As the two narratives go on, we get to know more about what happened eighteen years ago. Or do we? Obviously, OBVIOUSLY I thought where this was going, but obviously I didn't!! This was such a rollercoaster where I suspected EVERYONE and then every time I thought I was right... boom! another turn!!

The ending was wild!! I'm speechless!!

The Ex by Alex Sinclair is a twisted, dark, and addictive psychological thriller that had me gripped from the very start — but it was those final chapters that absolutely blew me away. I can honestly say I did not see those last few twists coming, and they elevated the entire story to another level.

The book kicks off with Jake, a man who once dated a woman we know only as “N.” According to Jake, she was a bit unhinged — so he broke things off. Over the years, he moved on, dating two other women, Nicole and Bianca. Eventually, the relationships splintered after a tragedy, but one stuck: Jake and Bianca married and built what seems like a perfect life.

Fast-forward almost twenty years, and Nicole has just moved in next door to Jake and Bianca, stirring up old tensions and dangerous emotions. Bianca, it turns out, has been sitting on some dark, devastating secrets about what happened two decades earlier — secrets that, if exposed, could shatter her carefully crafted family life.

What unfolds is a masterclass in gaslighting, hidden agendas, and suspense. Mysterious, threatening notes begin to appear, and the tension thickens as the past claws its way into the present. You know the truth will eventually come out — but when it does? OMFG. That last chapter absolutely floored me. I was shocked by the reveal of the third person involved and Jake’s jaw-dropping reaction. It’s one of those rare thrillers where you think you have it all figured out — and then it hits you with a final, unexpected punch that leaves you reeling.

I’m now eager to dive into more of Alex Sinclair’s works. If The Ex is any indication of his skill with twists, reveals, and deeply layered psychological tension, then readers are in for a wild ride with each of his books.

A huge thanks to Zooloos Book Tours for this ARC — it was a standout pick for their latest book tour, and I can’t wait to recommend it to fellow thriller lovers.

Here is my review for The Ex by Alex Sinclair

This was a brilliant psychological thriller that I got into as soon as I started reading the story. Jackson and Bianca Anderson have been married approximately eighteen years and have two young children. They have lived in their current home on a quiet cul-de-sac for about three years and are very friendly with Ellie and Dave. They have a new neighbour that has moved in next door and it turns out to be Nicole, Jack’s ex that caused a lot of problems all those years ago. Can Jack and Bianca fight against Nicole this time and beat her? Or will Nicole get what she wants after all these years, Jack? It’s an immensely tense and full of suspense thriller that has been written really well by the author. It’s told as a ‘now and then’ story but it's a very intriguing read. The story has been well plotted and thought out. I think it’s been well thought out in the complexities in the relationship between Jack, Bianca and Nicole and well portrayed in the book. The synopsis drew me to read this story and I wasn’t disappointed. I was so invested in reading this story that I found I couldn’t put the book down as I wanted to know what happened next. The characters were intriguing and had been well thought out, especially with their history together for Jack, Bianca and Nicole.

Blurb :

My life is perfect, until a new neighbour moves in next door — she’s my husband’s ex . . .

Jack and I have a picture-perfect life — two small children, and a beautiful home on a quiet cul-de-sac that feels like the safest place on earth.

Until she moves in next door.

His ex.

She wanted Jack then. She tried to kill me for him.

She wants him now, and I think she’ll do whatever it takes to get him back.

A gripping, twist-filled psychological thriller about secrets, betrayal, and how far one woman will go to reclaim the life she thinks was stolen from her.

Well Written, Tense, Stunning Conclusion.
The Ex by Alex Sinclair revolves around Jack, a good looking and high potential student who, eighteen years ago at university was considered a much-desired male by the female students. The story is told from the perspective of three of his sleeping partners – his main squeeze who was the alpha female of their academic year, his “dirty little secret”, and a jealous “Ex”. Now he is married to Bianca with two children Noah and Dot, with a career as a history teacher, and settled into suburbia on the same street as his best friend Dave and wife Ellie who also have two kids. This stable and predictable lifestyle is disturbed when one of Jack’s prior lovers moves into the house next to them and Bianca’s life takes an unwanted turn.
As the plot unfolds with the psychotic “Ex” making Bianca’s life a misery, the reader has to conclude that despite his good looks and apparent intelligence Jack has not quite achieved his potential professionally or personally. He is habitually messy, reluctant to help with the kids or around the house, not an inspiring teacher and has always needed to cheat on his main squeeze of the time. We are drawn in to these peoples’ dysfunctional lives by a strong desire to know (1) What happened many years ago involving them all that was so awful? (2) Is something just as awful going to happen before the end of the book – and to whom?
This reader does not normally choose this genre – but I enjoyed the well written story with a tense plot and plenty of unexpected developments. The ending left me stunned and with just one thought – these women all fought so hard to end up as Jack’s “one and only”, but he is really not much of a catch, and his history shows he must always have a “Dirty Little Secret” so has the “winner” really won in the long term? This book definitely deserves five stars.

🐾🐾🐾🐾 – Twisty, Fast-Paced, and Full of Suspicion

The Ex by Alex Sinclair is a psychological thriller that knows how to keep readers on edge. From the very first chapter, you're pulled into the unraveling life of a woman whose ex unexpectedly returns—dragging the past right back into her present. What starts as a surprise quickly spirals into a web of secrets, manipulation, and buried trauma.

The pacing is relentless in the best way. Each chapter ends with just enough tension to keep you saying, “Just one more…”—and before you know it, you're halfway through the book. Sinclair does an excellent job of building paranoia and emotional tension, making you question not only the intentions of the ex, but the reliability of the narrator herself.

The twists? Oh, they’re there—and they come hard and fast. A few might stretch plausibility, but if you're in it for the thrill ride, you'll hardly care. This is popcorn fiction at its most binge-worthy. The emotional stakes are high, and while the ending might not tie everything up perfectly, it leaves you thinking about how the past has a way of clawing back when you least expect it.

Pawprint-worthy quote:
"Sometimes the past doesn't stay buried—it claws its way back, demanding attention."

If you're a fan of domestic suspense and high-octane psychological drama, The Ex deserves a spot on your TBR. Perfect for a weekend read when you’re craving something juicy, chilling, and impossible to put down.

A great read. After Jack and Bianca move into their new home. They get a surprise when Jacks ex Nicola moves in next door. It seems she has moved there for a reason. The book concentrates on Bianca trying to figure out why Nicole is here. What does she want? The experience the couple has had in the past with Nicole was shocking. Hence their reaction to her moving in next door. The book goes back in some chapters to explain what happened all those years ago in college. It becomes apparent when Bianca tries to find out Nicoles motives that certain things come to light. Which makes Bianca wonder actually who can she trust? It seems her husband has also been keeping things from her. When the other residents on the street get involved the situation escalates. This book was really interesting and I was compelled to carry on reading. I loved the way the author reveals how the past and present come together. Just when you think you have the answer the author changes tack with the storyline. There are so many shocks and twists along the way. I really enjoyed this book. The ending for me was absolute genius. I cannot recommend this book enough. If you love a thriller then this book is definitely for you. This book looks at friendships and relationships. How much can you actually trust those close to you? I cannot wait to read further works from this author. I was so impressed with this book. You certainly won't be left feeling disappointed!

Alex Sinclair delivers a chilling and intricately plotted psychological thriller in The Ex, a story that thrives on misdirection, tension, and the dark complexities of human relationships. From the first page, Sinclair sets the stage for a gripping tale that constantly challenges the reader’s assumptions—and rewards their attention with twist after twist.

This is a thriller that knows how to play with the reader’s mind. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, the narrative shifts, leaving you reeling and questioning everything you thought you knew. Sinclair skillfully weaves suspicion and paranoia into every chapter, building a slow-burn intensity that crescendos into a satisfying, jaw-dropping conclusion.

What truly sets The Ex apart is its unpredictability and the way it leans into the psychological turmoil of its characters. The storytelling is sharp, the pacing taut, and the emotional stakes are high—making for a truly immersive reading experience.

For fans of mystery and psychological suspense, The Ex is a must-read. It’s the kind of book that keeps you up at night, turning pages, eager to uncover the truth. Alex Sinclair proves once again that he’s a name to watch in the thriller genre, and readers will undoubtedly be eager for whatever he writes next.

I just finished The Ex by Alex Sinclair and since this was my first time reading Sinclair, I went in with no expectations, which is always kind of exciting. And I have to say, it turned out to be a pretty solid thriller.
I’m one of those readers who enjoys going along for the ride without trying to guess every twist and turn, and this book did not disappoint in that area. There were some good twists that really kept me engaged, and they felt believable, which is a huge plus.

That said, I can't quite give it a full five stars. There were a few spots where the pacing slowed down a bit too much for my liking—just enough to pull me out of the suspenseful zone. And then there’s Bianca. She’s a character I almost hated a little too much. There’s definitely a fine line when it comes to dislikeable characters, and she came pretty close to crossing it for me. I mean, she’s portrayed as a pretty bad mother, but it made it hard to connect with the story, if that makes sense.

Overall, I’d say The Ex sits around 4 to 4.5 stars for me. It’s a good thriller that does what it promises. If you’re in the mood for a thriller with some solid twists, definitely give this one a shot. I’ll definitely pick up more of Alex Sinclair!

If you're a fan of twisty, obsession-fuelled psychological thrillers, The Ex delivers plenty of tension and unease. The setup had me instantly intrigued—a woman moves in next door to a couple who seem to have it all. But behind those perfect closed doors? Secrets are simmering… and someone wants the past back.

Bianca and Jack were college sweethearts, now married with two young children and a seemingly idyllic life. But when a new neighbour moves in next door, everything starts to unravel. This neighbour knows Jack and Bianca. Knew them a long time ago. And she’s not just there to borrow a cup of sugar.

The story alternates between Bianca’s perspective and a second, unnamed narrator. At first, it seems obvious that the second voice belongs to Nicole, the new neighbour—but as past and present begin to collide, that certainty begins to crack. Someone else may be hiding in plain sight, and the reveal is cleverly done.

I didn’t quite connect with Bianca as a character—she’s keeping things from her husband right from the start, and that made it difficult to fully root for her. I also worked out the twist a little early, but that didn’t take away from the well-paced structure and sense of creeping tension throughout.

The Ex is a compelling domestic thriller with strong writing, layered misdirection, and a narrative that will keep you questioning everything. Perfect for readers who love suspense, secrets, and that feeling of not knowing who to trust.

Holy flying monkeys! What a ride this was! It was beyond dark and twisty. I had never read anything by Alex Sinclair before so I wasn't sure what to expect. This exceeded anything I could have imagined and blew me away!

Following a college romance, Bianca and Jack are now married with two kids and living in a nice suburban neighborhood. They are living the dream with their best friends as their neighbor until a new neighbor moves in. When they realize it's Jack's crazy psyco ex, they immediately have their guard up. Why now after all these years is she suddenly appearing? It's quite obvious she knew who lived next door and moved there for that reason. Bianca believes she wants Jack back and when crazy things start happening Bianca knows her assumptions were correct.

There were so many ups and downs, lefts and rights it was hard to catch your breath. The characters were all beyond deplorable, which made it all the more fun. The ending was so unexpected I gasped out loud. I thought I knew where it was going. WRONG!! Bravo to Mr Sinclair for that ending! If you're a fan of crazy, this is a must read for you. I highly recommend this book.

OMG, this book! From the very first page, I was hooked—the writing is sharp, compelling, and packed with tension. The pacing is perfect, and just when I thought I had everything figured out, the twist hit me HARD. I thought I knew where it was going, but I was so wrong—and that made the twist even more brilliant. My mind was officially scrambled!

There are just enough characters to keep things interesting, and each one adds their own layer to the story. You can't help but get caught up in their psychological battles, and the way their pasts are slowly revealed is done masterfully. There's a constant sense of unease, and you never quite know who to trust, which makes for an incredibly suspenseful read. What I loved most is that it kept me guessing the entire time. As soon as I thought I had a theory, a twist would turn it on its head, keeping me hooked until the very last page. The ending was the perfect payoff—this book will stick with you long after you've finished.

If you’re into thrillers that mess with your mind, this one’s a must-read. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, you might still be wrong!

Superb psychological thriller The Ex by Alex Sinclair especially as it draws in in from the very beginning.

Now. . . . . Could you imagine - You are loving, living in your perfect house with your husband and your two small children and living a perfect life especially as you have great friendly neighbours. . . . What more could you ever ask for. Even your street you live in, is beautiful and so friendly, with neighbours inviting you round for BBQ parties etc.
Then, they tell you they are moving!!!! Someone wanted their house and paid over the odds for it, to get it.
I can see Why they could not turn this offer down!!!
Now, Would you?

WoW. . . . . . . . Nooooooooo!

Then your new neighbour. . . . . is your husband's Ex partner! and she's tried to kill him 18 years ago when he was in college.

WoW. . .. . .Why? and where has she been all these years? and why Now!!!!

This book is so good I was glued to my chair and kindle and I could not put it down! I need to close my mouth!
WoW the ended was jaw dropping!!!! Excellent Book. One of his best!

Many thanks to Joffe Books for the ARC.

The Ex is a complex psychological thriller set on a charming suburban cul-de-sac. Bianca seemingly has the perfect life - an adoring husband, two adorable children, and neighborhood best friends. However, Bianca's fairytale life soon transforms into a nightmare when her college nemesis moves next door. Bianca's hate for Nicole isn't just the typical schoolgirl drama. Nicole once tried to murder Bianca and now Bianca is afraid that Nicole is back to finish what she failed to do before.

The Ex just wasn't a book for me. A lot of the "twists" were extremely predictable. I knew who 'N' was long before it was revealed. All of the characters are extremely unlikable. There wasn't a single character worth rooting for. The story is told through two POVs, one set in the present and the other set 18 years ago. The pacing is decent, and I appreciated the ending. However, overall, I just didn't enjoy The Ex.

Wow! Bianca and Jack. My goodness, this is a great, fast thriller for your reading pleasure!
Characters are well developed, and readers can feel their tension as they navigate his infidelity!
The plot is well structured and paced well throughout.
I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen... but NO - I was wrong!
The ending - WILD!
The author did an excellent job pulling in the past and relating it to the present - it is so hard to do that well in a book, but this was done perfectly!!
It was a quick read. I did not want to stop reading because I wanted to see what was going to happen.
This is chilling and a psychological thriller done well!
This book has many emotional highs and lows that leave the reader highly invested in this plot.
I think I will add this to my "must-read" thriller collection!
Thank you to NetGalley and Alex Sinclair for opportunity to read this ARC!
Happy Reading1
