Baba Yaga Swipes Right

Rate this book
Dating in your twenties is a nightmare—try doing it when you've literally been alive for centuries. Natasha (aka legendary witch Baba Yaga) has been forced to swap her magical Russian hut for a shoebox apartment in Manhattan, where rent is highway robbery and dating apps are actual hell. When her drop-dead gorgeous sister announces she's marrying the demon Natasha has secretly pined over for decades, she does what any self-respecting witch would downloads a dating app and desperately swipes for the hottest silver fox to make her ex jealous. Because nothing says "I'm thriving" like bringing a trophy date to your sister's wedding, right?

Plot that smoking hot match is Han Van Helsing—yes, those Van Helsings—whose family business is literally killing creatures like her. Awkward. But damn if he doesn't have the kind of jawline that makes a girl forget he might be plotting her murder. Between his killer smile and the way he actually listens when she talks, Natasha finds herself breaking the cardinal rule of don't fall for the guy whose family keeps a collection of monster heads on their wall.

As the wedding approaches, Natasha juggles her jealous sister's bridezilla antics, her best friend's schemes for revenge, and the absolutely chaotic mess that is modern dating—all while trying not to get hexed or hunted. With a purple-tipped bob that's just asking for a touch-up and magic she promised herself she wouldn't use (but totally does anyway), Natasha must decide if true love is worth risking literally everything. Because when you've spent thousands of years alone, maybe getting your heart potentially stabbed by a hot monster hunter is the spicy plot twist your story needs.
