Jerrie Alexander is one of my auto read authors so you should know that upfront. She can't write her books fast enough and I was thrilled to find out she was writing another series. This first book doesn't disappoint!

Quick summary
FBI Agent Rafe Sirilli returns home to Texas to settle his recently deceased father's affairs. He runs smack into a doozy of a situation involving Erin Brady, a high school counselor and adopted daughter of his father's former partner (deputy sheriff). A student's been murdered and all fingers are pointing at Erin who, by the way, has a rocky history with Rafe.

The issues
Rafe's on leave and agrees to Erin's father's request to help with the investigation. She and Rafe have some initial friction stemming from their high school days. The situation soon gets dicey when the body count starts to rise.

What I enjoyed
Rafe and Erin didn't waste a lot of time and angst (hallelujah!) over their issues and quickly focused on the investigation and their growing attraction. Nothing coy about her and he went all in early. Their romance smoked and the case brought out Rafe's alpha qualities with just the right balance since Erin is no damsel in distress. She handles herself. The case was was interesting and suspenseful, though I tagged the killer early on. But, the climax made up for my fast detection.

The bottom line
I stayed engaged in the story (finished in a day) and liked the main characters a lot. The secondary characters introduced already have my interest and I'm primed for the next books. This has the perfect mix of mystery, suspense and romance with a bit of chills added in. Well done!

3.5 Stars. Good story, but not the best I've read from Alexander. Rafe, an FBI agent, has come home to settle his late father's estate. He sticks around to help a high school friend named Erin, who has been accused of murder and then later is the victim of a sexual predator stalker.

Nice read, but Jerrie Alexander's best book so far, imo, remains her wonderful debut effort 'The Green-Eyed Doll'; which was chilling and creepy.

Till Justice is Served by Jerrie Alexander is a 2014 publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have enjoyed all of Jerrie Alexander's novels I have read so far, and this one is no exception. A blend of mystery and suspense with a hot and spicy love affair is not always the easiest thing to pull off. The storyline often leans too heavy in one direction or the other. But, the author does a great job of building tension both in the crime elements and the romantic elements.

When Rafe returns home to put his recently deceased father's affairs in order, the last thing he expected is to find himself protecting an old classmate who is in a jam. Erin and Rafe attended the same school at one time, but Rafe had upset Erin back then and he was not her favorite person in the world. But, Erin's father is an old family friend, so when he ask Rafe to help out, he simply couldn't refuse.

It becomes obvious early on that Erin, a school counselor, is no longer a person of interest in the death of one of her students. But, she's not out of the woods yet. It is increasingly clear that Erin has an admirer, one who may be willing to kill for her.

Having a stalker is bad enough, but not knowing who your stalker is, is even worse. Who is killing the people Erin is surround by? Is it a student seeking revenge? Is it drug related? A fixation? Someone Erin is close to? This scenario leaves the door wide open for anyone to be a suspect, which increases the suspense level and will have you on the edge of your seat.

The tense situation Erin finds herself in is magnified by her attraction to Rafe. Once the two cleared the air regarding past hurts, they find it hard to keep their hands off one another. The problem? Rafe is not the relationship type. He is career driven and doesn't have time for long term romantic entanglements, not to mention the fact that once this case is solved he is leaving town. Can Rafe and Erin manage a short term affair without hearts being broken?

While there were some areas of the story that were just a touch predictable, hats off to the author for raising awareness about the ongoing drug problems amongst teens and young adults. While drug deaths and addictions are not grabbing the media headlines anymore, the problem is still alive and well. There were other issues addressed in the book as well, that will give the reader some food for thought.

If you enjoy the more traditional style of romantic suspense you should check out this book. This is really my favorite style of RS and I can't get enough of these darker, creepier, super suspenseful stories.

A romantic suspense with plenty of sexy Agents and a creepy stalker who thinks nothing of murdering those wronging his obsession no matter their age.

FBI Agent Rafe Sirilli has taken a leave of absence to come back to his hometown to take care of his father’s estate after his death. He hasn’t been back in a long time due to bad memories. He is not back long before one his father best friends ask him if he could help his adopted daughter who has just been accused of killing one of her students..

Erin Brady decided to devote her life to helping teens after her horrendous childhood before she was adopted. She is devastated after being accused of something horrible by one the students she counsels at the local high school. She ends up suspended when that student is brutally murdered. With Erin being the number one suspect she reluctantly agrees to letting the man that broke her heart in high school protect her especially when its not long before there is another murder and it becomes obvious the murderer has an obsession with Erin.

Right from the opening grisly scene we get plenty of time in the killer/stalkers head. We know that Erin is in a lot more danger before Rafe and all the other law enforcement that’s brought in do but that didn’t take away from the suspense. The chemistry between Rafe and Erin was off the charts.

There were lots of secondary characters that I hope will be getting their own books in the future. This was a perfect blend of suspense and smoking romance and as always I look forward to more from this author.

I am a huge fan of romantic suspense and Till Justice Is Served had just the right mix of everything I love to make this a 5 star read for me. The characters were well developed and multi-faceted, the romance was filled with tension and sparks and some very hot scenes, and the plot was laid out masterfully to build up to the reveal and subsequent resolution, all done with a heavy dose of realism that made the characters come to life.

I just loved every character that was introduced in this book. Rafe, his brother Luke, his partner Colton, Linc, Beckett…let’s just say there is no shortage of leading alpha-males in this book – and they all deserve their own stories (and soon, please!) I even loved Erin. She was strong, recognized that she needed help and asked for it rather do anything stupid, and even though she was fighting her attraction to Rafe pretty hard, I was totally on board with her actions and thoughts when it came to him.

It’s not often that I finish a book and just want more, but with all the great characters that Jerrie Alexander has created I cannot wait for the next installment in the Killer Affections series and will definitely be putting this series, as well as every other book Ms. Alexander has written, on my must-buy list!

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Jerrie Alexander brings us a romantic suspense story about second chances. Twelve years have passed since Rafe Sirilli last saw Erin Brady. During that time they have both changed but their attraction to each other is still strong.

The story is very believable and full of suspense. There are multiple subplots in the mystery itself that kept me reading, waiting for the next solution or twist, something I found very attractive in the story. There were a few red herrings to throw me off, always appreciated. In the end, I wasn’t terribly surprised at the solution to the mystery of Erin’s stalker but found the loose ends tied up well.

The scenes between Rafe and Erin are hot and intense. The reader can see just how much these two people really care about each other. I was also impressed by how much they got along as friends as well as lovers.

Secondary characters lent much to the story but were lacking a bit on Erin’s side which I finally attributed to Erin’s sketchy past. I found myself gearing up for sequels starring Detective Wade Beckett and Rafe’s partner, Colton. Both men seem to have compelling stories to tell themselves, especially Colton. Something to look forward to, I hope.

It’s an entertaining read and I highly recommend it.

TILL JUSTICE IS SERVED, the first of Jerrie Alexander’s newest Killer Affections series, starts on a high and hardly slows down. No one writes bad guys quite as well as Ms. Alexander, and this guy is really nuts! The great thing is Ms. Alexander writes him so the reader gets why he is the way he is.
Being a retired elementary school principal, I found the setting of TILL JUSTICE IS SERVED, especially interesting, and I had no quarrel with the author about the picture she painted. The situation she depicts is totally believable.
I enjoyed the complicated storyline. Ms. Alexander excels at tangled relationships for her heroes and heroines, and that is true for Rafe and Erin. Lots of authors give little attention to supporting characters, not so Ms. Alexander. I totally love Erin’s adoptive ather. I have to believe we can look forward to someday reading a story focused on Rafe’s brother Luke.
Did I mention the sexual tension? Don’t want to leave out such an important part of this story. My goodness! You do not want to miss the first of this new series.

What makes a great suspense is a good mystery, with supporting subplots to keep the story moving. Add in a few twists and turns here or there, and you've got yourself a story. What I loved about this particular book, is that it had all of these elements woven together with an intriguing love story that feeds off of the drama presented in the story line.

The author has phenomenal talent when it comes to writing characters - particularly when it comes to writing the villain. Wow. The "bad guy" in this book - absolutely superb. It's the kind of character that you read about and then have anxiety about for quite some time after! The rest of the secondary characters added to the story, but Rafe and Erin are electrifying.

It isn't hard to figure out the ending of the book, but the journey there is well worth the ride. This is a brilliant beginning to what looks to be an extraordinary new series.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own.

Great book and the romance part was spot on. I liked that they didn't rush into bed (well, actually, since the book took place during a single week, they didn't wait that long, but still, they didn't just fall into bed). The suspense was good as well, I still guessed at some point who was the creep, but that was just because there weren't so many options to choose from, not that it was obvious. All in all, I will surely read the second book in the series.

Rating: 3.5/5

I've read and loved all books written by Jerrie Alexander. She's one of my go-to authors when I need a romantic suspense fix. This first book in her new series just didn't grab me as much as any of her other works. While the main characters didn't keep me captivated, I was definitely interested in the side characters, Colton and Luke.

I love that the author often starts of her stories with a glimpse into the villain's mind and his or her grizzly deeds. It accomplishes two things: it sucks me in and sets the tone for the suspense portion. I enjoyed the plot of having the hero return to his hometown only to get embroiled in the heroine's troubles and become both her ally and her lover. Erin's childhood made me feel sympathetic towards her, and she had some moments where she imparted some good advice to Rafe showing she had compassion, but that's where my interest in her as a character ended. Rafe was a little more fleshed out to make him interesting. I liked his very male, protective side, and I understood why he had no interest in a relationship.

Between the two of them, I just didn't feel the chemistry. Back in high-school, they weren't exactly friends. His father and her adoptive father had been best friends, she was the messed up girl, and he was the football hero. In an effort to be nice, he'd asked her to prom. That blew up in their faces over a silly misunderstanding. They hadn't seen or spoken to one another in twelve years when they met again, and right away they were having x-rated fantasies about one another. Considering she'd held on to the past hurt for twelve years, their insta-lust was a little too sudden. I felt I was being told about their feelings rather than being shown.

The suspense portions were the best parts of this book. The villain's POV kept things interesting since I kept trying to read between the lines for clues. Erin managed to help herself without needing her knight in shining armor, which I appreciated. Even though this book didn't quite do it for me, the brief glimpses of Luke (Rafe's younger, Army Ranger brother) and Colton (Rafe's partner) were enough to capture my interest, and I'd love to read more about them.

Rafe is home after being on an undercover assignment for his job as a narcotics officer for the FBI. He is home to take care of his fathers effects. He has no long term plans to stay or get back involved with the community until his father’s old partner asks for his help. When Rafe finds out its the girl that spurned him years ago he is hesitant at first but soon realizes he may be able to repay a debt he feels he owes. Rafe is the last person Erin expects to help her out. Though there has always been an attraction between them their past was never a good one. But that all changes when Erin is accused of things she hasn’t done and two girls are dead thanks to her stalker. As Rafe and Erin get closer to solving who killed the girls and who is stalking her they find themselves getting closer even while fighting their attraction. Can Rafe save and clear Erin or will the bad guys win?

Jerrie Alexander has done it again. I love the character and the story. They are all strong and well written. The crime parts are clearly well researched and the romance is natural. Rafe and Erin are great. Their relationship develops so naturally and lets face it what woman wouldn’t want a Rafe. Though the supporting characters of Luke, Linc and Colton are equally hot and entertaining. It appears this is book one in a new series by Jerrie. If this is correct I can’t wait to read more. I would have to say that the only criticism I may have is I felt the drug part of the story didn’t really wrap up. A few of the aspects became lost with the stalker end of the story. This dual story was new for Jerrie Alexander and I think she can pull it off but with this story the one part of the crime end was left loose. I’m not sure if this will be followed up in subsequent novels but it didn’t appear to be that way. Overall, it was a great novel and yet another win from Jerrie Alexander.

This book combines thrilling suspense scenes, smoldering sex scenes and hot and sexy DEA and FBI Agents…what more could you ask for?

Chapter 1 really set the benchmark for the remainder of the book and was such a thrilling start to the story.

FBI Agent Rafe Sirilli is back in his hometown to sort out his Dad’s Estate and one visit from his Dad’s best friend Jeff regarding Jeff’s adopted daughter Erin and Rafe is suddenly thrown into a murder investigation in an unofficial capacity to clear her name as a suspect.

Erin is a high school counsellor and when she reported the drug use of a wealthy student to the principal, the girl in turn claimed that Erin made sexual advances to her and Erin made up the drug claims when she was rejected by her. The girl and her friends made her life a living hell from there on outwards.
Then the girl is murdered and Erin is their prime suspect.

When a second murder involving a girl from the tormenting group occurs and Rafe is Erin’s alibi, it’s clear that the murderer has an obsession with Erin especially when a photographer who was caught taking photos in Erin’s backyard is also murdered. Rafe then asks to be assigned to the case in an official capacity after her starts to feel things for Erin that go beyond platonic.

Rafe puts his life in danger when he starts to become closer to Erin but will he be able to stop the murderer before more lives, including his own, is lost?

With a mounting drug problem at the school, an undercover DEA Agent lurking around, a murderer obsessed with Erin, Rafe attempting to fight his own personal demons and the sizzling chemistry between Rafe and Erin, this is one story you do not want to miss!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

"YOU LIE
YOU DIE"
And with the opening chapter I was hooked into this suspense filled cleverly written thriller.

Erin is the prime suspect for the murder of a student in her class, whom she found with narcotics previously and had in turn reported Erin for inappropriate behaviour. Erin is lost in a world of media frenzy, with everyone watching her every move.

Rafe, a hardened FBI agent, returning to his home town after the death of his father is asked to help unofficially to clear Erin's name. He quickly sets aside his feelings of hurt and confusion towards Erin from their teenage years to uncover the truth as he instantly sees that the beautiful woman she had become is innocent.

The two of them share an entwined past of hurts and mistrust, with ghosts that they need to lay to rest. Through trauma and danger they work together to resolve their issues as they are drawn together. This is a well written thriller tide, with plot twists that kept me guessing right to the end and oh boy I didn't see it coming.

The backdrop of characters, sub plots and hot bedroom scenes made this a very enjoyable read that I struggled to put down until I had found out who was Casanova! Then my jaw dropped when he was revealed. The plot is believable and hooks you in from the very start. I look forward to the next in the series and hope Linc, Luke and Colton all have their own stories soon...hint hint..a four star read as I simple wanted more!

No one writes complicated stalkers better than Jerrie!!

When Erin finds drugs in a students bag and reports her to the Principal, the girl and her friends start a smear campaign, one that could lose Erin her job as counsellor. She's looking down a deep dark hole before her adoptive father ropes in some mighty fine, muscled help.

Rafe knows Erin from school but she crushed him when he went out on a limb to ask her to prom and she rebuffed him strongly and publicly. After being away from home working undercover with the FBI for years, he finally returns after the death of his father. When his dad's old partner asks for his help he leaps into the fray.

As the story unfolds we clearly see Erins stalker meting out his own brand of justice to those he holds accountable for Erins distress. But as Erin and Rafe get closer, his tenuous hold on reality is snapping and the rollercoaster ride of a finale is astonishingly brilliant!

Complicated, long held grudges by both Rafe and Erin led to a decade of resentment and hurt. Rafe learns that his late brother was also involved in hurting Erin and that he more ties than he thought to his old home town. With lots of hunky men to drool over, you also get to see glmpses of futures book to come (pls Jerrie??) Especially Luke, Linc and Colton.

The first of the new Killer Affections series and it bursts off the page with a bang! Casanova is a fully formed nut and we get glimpses of his reasoning and his warped interpretation of his interactions with Erin.

Thank you to Jerrie Alexander for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a gripping tale full of twists and turns and unexpected events. Chapter 1 and you dive straight into the action. There is no slow run up and I was fully on board for the ride in front of me.

This is the story of Erin, the school counsellor, who's life has suddenly fallen apart. She is the number one suspect in the investigation of the murder of one of her students. It also appears she has a stalker who believes their love will conquer all, and he is willing to kill anyone who gets in his way. Thankfully, Erin's friend/enemy in high school, Rafe, is home from his undercover work in the FBI and he decides to help clear Erin's name and protect her from her unwanted admirer.

Rafe is hot and Erin is sweet and they have a lot of simmering chemistry which neither wants to act upon for different reasons. If this had just been a love story I wouldn't have been as enthralled. It was the psycho stalker who had me intrigued and as the plot is gradually revealed I found myself constantly surprised with new twists in the story. (I even annoyed my partner with a very loud "noooooooooo, I didn't see that coming". he asked, "what?", I replied "ssshhhhh, I'm reading"- apparently this is annoying!)

Erin Brady is living a nightmare. She is a murder suspect in the death of two high school girls who had accused her of improper conduct. She needs help now. Her adoptive father calls in a favor. He asks FBI agent Rafe Sirilli to help, but things keep getting worse. The killer wants Erin for himself. He believes that she loves him and that they will be together always. Rafe and Erin have a history which quickly ignites into passion. Do they have a chance at a forever love? This story is a roller coaster ride of danger excitement and suspense. The characters are so well written that they come alive. Erin and Rafe are such a remarkable couple. They have lived through pain and hurt and have become stronger as a result. I enjoyed seeing them realize that they care and want to be together. Jerri Alexander's careful plotting kept me guessing until the very end. I really enjoyed that Erin was such a kick-ass heroine. I couldn't get enough. I hope that there will be more stories in the Killer Affections series.

4.5 stars so rounding up to 5 stars

one of my favorite authors is JD Robb (Nora Roberts) - i love her 'in death' series.

this book reminds me of that series without being a copy/clone. it has the perfect mix of suspense and romance with a little (or a lot) alpha male thrown in.

i really liked all the characters in this book. erin was strong and independent while still able to lean on rafe when she needed to. i love her career and passion for helping others after suffering through what she did.

rafe is pretty awesome. dedicated to vindicating his brother's death through getting drugs off the street, he's devoted to his job. enter erin. i love their banter and chemistry. i love that they can open up to each other and lean on each other to get the strength they need.

there was a little dose of crazy thrown in with the suspense making this an A+ story!

this has the potential to be one of my favorite new romantic suspense series. the supporting cast is really intriguing - luke, colton, linc, beckett.

So when I got this book for review the blurb was all about someone ought to get Erin. WRONG. This book had all I look for to be a 10 moon recommended. Passion, Action, Suspense, Romance and most of characters that come to life. Right away I could see Rafe and his turmoil in this whole situation. Here is a guy who blames himself of what happened in the past with his family and still trying to move on. Now Erin is one woman you don’t want to mess. She’s not a damsel in distress but a fighter which goes so well with this sexy FBI agent. I mean I was in awe of this talented authors imagination of bringing out the killer and these two emotions to light. Jerrie Alexander blew my imagination away and one book you don’t want to pass. Just the first chapter and them meeting again will grab your attention. Loved it.

I hope this is the beginning of a good series. FBI agent Rafe Sirilli has been undercover for too many years. When his father passes away from a sudden heart attack, Rafe goes home to make the necessary arrangements. He finds out that an old school friend that he liked very much has become the object of a smear campaign. Erin has become a school counselor and is being victimized by some of the students. This is one of two plot threads in the story.

Erin and Rafe have some unfinished business and some old assumptions that have to be addressed. It doesn't do anything to kill the white-hot attraction they share, however. I figured out who the bad guy was pretty early on, in one case anyway. No matter, this is a good story and between Rafe's brother, his partner and the detective who works with them, there are enough alpha males to create a good series. Are you listening, Jerrie?

Erin has always had feelings for Rafe but thinking she was below him because of her past made her quite the obnoxious teen. Rafe still harbors the internal scabs from Erin’s humiliation in high school. The only reason he is back home is because he needs to put his father’s estate in order then he off again for his next mission with the FBI. When Jeff, Erin’s adoptive father and longtime partner to Rafe’s dad shows up asking for a favor Rafe is torn When Erin finds out her dad has enlisted Rafe’s help she is livid. Yet no one can deny the sparks that fly when these two are in the same room. Will their emotions cloud them to the danger that is facing Erin? Will Rafe be able to save her in time? Will Rafe be able to get over his fear and give in to his emotions for Erin? Filled with suspense, drama, love and mystery you will love this book.

FIVE STARS for Til Justice is Served!

Ms Alexander has done it again, she's delivered a suspenseful thrillfest that takes the reader deep inside a killer's mind. I absolutely love the way she inserts his or her ;) point of view in this dark, gritty romantic suspense novel. There's a hero (Rafe) who is swoon worthy and a strong heroine who needs a partner, not a savior. Erin is a doll with her sassy attitude:

"I was the first guy you'd kissed in how long?"
She thought about her answer. "Maybe a year."
"Sweet. Now I feel special."
"Stop or we won't have room in the car for all three of us."
"Three?"
"Yeah. You, me and your ego."

She is more than Rafe can handle and that's exactly what he needs. Til Justice is served is a steamy romance that's an action packed thrill ride all the way to the end! Thank you Ms Alexander for a very entertaining read, the best yet!

A great opening for a new series! I enjoyed the cast of characters. They are fun, loyal, and trustworthy, charismatic and caring, making them a very attractive and likeable cast.
Rafe and Erin have several murder mysteries, senseless acts of violence, to solve, while battling against their feelings for each other. At the same time there is a problem with drugs on the high school, and everything seems to be connected to Erin somehow. The mystery is layered, with many aspects that needs to be figured out. Since part of the story is also told from the villain's point of view, you really find how insane and irrational he is.
Rafe and Erin's attraction is sizzling, the heat level is high. But there is also such a sweet, caring, protective side to them, making the whole romance rather adorable.

Great New Series!
Loved this book, it is a great new series! This book was hard to put down because I couldn’t wait to see what happens next. Rafe is an FBI agent; he is home to settle his father’s estate and ends up involved in a murder investigation and trying to bust up a drug ring. Erin is a High School counselor and is accused of making inappropriate advances and is suspected of murder. When Rafe and Erin come together the sparks fly, but can they work together to find the killer. This book has it all, romance, mystery, and suspense. I can’t wait until the next book in this series comes out.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I received a copy of this book for the purpose of the review. My opipinion is my own. This was a quick, can't put this book down read. I enjoyed it very much. I could hardly keep from turning the pages and reading ahead to find out who the killer was. I love the fact that it takes place with the characters who had crushes in high school reuniting. When we grow up and move on for our childhood homes we grow and change, but when we return we don't always realize that everyone else grows and changes too. This book is a great reminder of that. The story while fiction could very well take place in today's society. If you want a great suspenseful story to curl up with, this is for you!

Right from the start Ms. Alexander comes out full force and grabs your attention!. The story of Rafe and Erin. Who doesn't love a "Second Chance" at romance book? But this book is more than just that! It's the perfect romantic suspense novel. The author keeps you guessing; how is this going to turn out and just when you think you have it all figured out YOU don't! This book is both sensual and spellbinding! I look forward to and hope that this author has books planned for the secondary characters in this book. I can't wait to read them!!
