The Darkness Rolling: A Historical Mystery Series (Navajo Country Trilogy Book 1)
by Win Blevins and Meredith Blevins
A mystery of family history and an adventure in the golden age of film just after the second world war. As you read about James Fonda and the John Ford creating magic in the Monument Valley, the reader will see the dynamics from the other view point. Looking at those pictures from the poor native reservationist. The Idea that their lives are just on the cusp of finality only held off by the film industry. How that industry gave life to the red canyons, creating the image of the west. That image not showing the native view that is now brought to us in these stories.
The book shows how violence is ingrained in their culture. How women and men stand against this violence, and find their connections. Meredith and Win bring humanity to this story with their characters, and their reactions to these phenomenal events.
