What a fascinating journey these two take. It wasn't just a romantic journey, but a spiritual journey as well.
When Emmett and Eden met, they were both very young, and he was caught up in worldly recognition, while she struggled with anxiety, and a lack of self-confidence.
The transformation, these two make, after 8 years Of being apart, is thrilling to read. Emmett and Eden learn to not lean on their own strength and thinking, but to lean on God. The romantic journey between these two absolutely warmed my heart. Reading this story was another wonderful way to spend my day. The description of italy made me feel like i was there. Once again Cami has used her gift of writing to thrilled her audience.

Such a great read involving emotions and danger. Eden and Emmett met after an encounter in college when Emmett saved her, but due to his pride, things went wrong afterward. After time has passed, the two are partnered on a romantic adventure in Lake Como. Can they rekindle what they might have had, and can they be honest and real with each other amidst the danger? Loving this series.

🥀The most amazing thing about this novel, in my opinion, is how authentic Eden feels. She is likable and unforgettable because of her social awkwardness, snark, vulnerability, and faith. You feel Eden's fears, hopes, and the brittle bravery she musters in the face of fear you don't just read about her. However, Emmett's transformation from haughtiness to humility gives his character more nuance and heightens the interest in his quest for Eden's affection. The author skillfully strikes a balance between romance and tension. Shadows of danger appear just as you're beginning to enjoy the delicacy of their growing intimacy, keeping you on alert.

🥀This story is incredibly compelling because of the tension surrounding whether Emmett can both mend the wounds he previously caused and defend Eden from external threats. Not to mention the scenery Lake Como's tranquil waters and breathtaking scenery elevate it above mere background. It captures Emmett and Eden's love story's beauty, turbulence, and unpredictable nature. Their physical and mental trip is made even more magical by Italy's allure.

🥀This is a narrative about forgiveness, second chances, and trusting God's purpose even when past experiences seems too shattered to mend. It's not only a romance. Emmett and Eden have a heartwarming chemistry, their humor adds warmth, & their faith grounds the narrative in something more profound than simple attraction.

🥀Although the book is longer than Cami's typical works, each page has a clear purpose. There are sequences that will have you fervently hoping for Eden's safety and Emmett's salvation, moments that are going to make you laugh, and sections that will make you catch your breath. It is an indispensable if you're searching for a narrative that perfectly combines sincere faith, exciting mystery, and swoon-worthy romance. It's about growth, healing, and discovering the belief in eternal life; it's not only a love story.

I love a good suspense book. Cami Checketts writes some great ones. I love that she includes a bit of faith in her books. Her characters turn to prayer in their lives when they are in trouble, much like I do in my own life.

Eden is a great character. She has a tendency to find herself in situations that she would rather not be in. In one of those situations, Emmett finds her and is able to rescue her just in time. Only...they lose touch and don't see each other for 10 years.

When they do find each other again, Eden is again in danger. But she's unwilling to tell Emmett about either her danger or that they had met before. Poor Emmett was so confused! But he does the only thing he knows to do, he says a prayer and tries to get her to talk to him.

I loved that there was so much danger in this book. The reader never knows just what will happen next.

The setting of Lake Como is so great. I need a trip to Italy right away!

Wow! Emmett and Eden definitely have a roller coaster ride of emotions and danger. Their initial days in Italy are marred by Emmett’s confusion and Eden’s hiding the truth to protect her heart. I loved how they both relied on their faith and prayed despite all the danger they were facing. Very satisfying ending for them. I loved reading this story and I’m so looking forward to the rest of this series.

this was so good

Emmett and Eden’s story was a roller coaster ride of epic proportions. Their personalities were wonderful. You never knew who was hiding around the corner. I loved the description of the towns and villages they visited and especially the flowers described. I have to be honest and say I did not like what happened to Cameron, Tate, Ryan and Harrison. I guess that means I was too invested in the story. Excellent story line and I highly recommend this series.

What a marvelous addition to the European Romance Suspense series from Cami Checketts. This time we get to travel to Lake Como in Italy with Emmett and Eden Kidman. I highly recommend you read their story. A high level drug dealer is looking to eliminate Eden because she is an eye witness to him doing an unthinkable horror. Will a mere football hero be able to save her?

This story is an exciting and dangerous adventure. I enjoyed every word as Emmett protected Eden even when it was nearly impossible. I liked reconnecting with other characters in the European Romance Suspense Series books. I liked the romance and how the characters grew closer together. Emmett is a great addition to the series.

Sweet Romantic Suspense

Technically this could be read out of order, but it works better in order. Emmett loves “Hermione” at first rescue, but he gets angry and scares her off. Eight years later he has to rescue her again, but Eden doesn’t play. I love how they listen to the Holy Spirit to know what they need to do! Trigger warning-Eden is almost sexually assaulted twice.

What an incredible and exciting story. Emmett is a professional football player. Eden is the owner of a flower shop. Eight years before they got to these positions, they met in college. Four young men attacked Eden and Emmett happened to come upon them and stopped the attack. Here the story gets interesting and suspenseful. Enjoy your reading of this book as I have.

Eden and Emmett are such interesting characters. Eden drove me crazy for the first half of the book with her wishy-washy attitude. However, once the suspense kicked in, I couldn't put the book down. I love how they changed in the book and that they put their complete trust in God.

Absolutely loved it!

This is an excellent book! Many laughs, frustrations, and danger. I think I like this one the best so far in this series.
