I don’t usually write reviews with spoilers but I couldn’t help it with this one.
I like the secret baby trope in a mafia book and that’s why I picked it. It’s about Chelsea, a mafia bride and Antonio, a don.
There are so many things wrong here, I don’t know where to start.
She had a miserable life being beaten by her father, yet, she was allowed to live with her bf since she promised she’d maintain her virtue 🤔 And she was also allowed to work for another mafia don or something.
But then her bf cheated on her and she went and had a ons with a stranger. And guess what? Protection was not even mentioned by either of them. Imagine my surprise when the MC later says “I had never imagined being a father”. Maybe he didn’t know the process, what can I say….
No names are exchanged and then we are suddenly 2 years later. There is hardly any mention about what happened to her in this period. And then her father who had sent her away for embarrassing him, remembers to blackmail her with the child’s life to marry a rival. I never understood why she didn’t put up any fight. She was supposed to be living and raising a child alone for 2 years. And for how long would she hide she had a small child that needed her, living elsewhere? Their decisions and actions made zero sense!
Antonio was supposedly obsessed and looking for her all this time, buuuut he had tried to forget her with various women…😡
They get married, argue for no reason, he is pushing her too hard and she fights for whatever silly reason.
There are way too many spicy scenes, I skimmed through them, they didn’t add anything. There was no chemistry and no development in their relationship, it was physical only. We don’t even learn their ages.
There are some more misunderstandings and miscommunications and an idiotic plan by the FMC at the end.
I should also mention there are editing errors.
Why did I finish it? I don’t even know. 🤷♀️

Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars - Being forced by her ruthless father to marry the don of a rival mafia family, was not the worst thing that could have happened to Chelsea Bianchi…it was the fact that he was the very same man whom she had left behind in a hotel two years ago. A couple who were meant to be, all the while. Good mafia read!

Loved it!!
OMG, this book started off with a Bang and I Loved it. Once I started reading Secret Baby for the Italian Mafia Boss I had a hard time putting it down and read it in one day. The chemistry between Chelsea and Antonio was extremely HOT and I loved their story!!
