A steamy, single dad romance… Before we’d even met, Gretchen–the beautiful and newly divorced customer of my cabinet shop–called me the ‘Infuriating Jerk of the Year.’ Fair enough. When she called to cancel her custom cabinet order, I may have suggested I would allow it only if she rode my…appendage. But in my defense, I didn’t know my foreman hadn’t put her on hold. When we crossed paths flirting at my brother’s bar later, she had no idea Mr. Infuriating and I were one and the same. Full I came clean before things went too far. Fuller We put aside our differences for one night only, but we agreed it couldn’t go any further. But when her kitchen springs a leak during installation, I insist she and her son move in with me and my kids until I finish. Of course, the second I have her under my roof, she ends up back in my bed. So, we make a deal–it’s only until her cabinets are installed, or she finds Mr. Right–whichever comes first. But what if she wants me to be Mr. Right. Or worse yet, what if she doesn't?
USA Today and Amazon best-selling author, Tess Summers is a former business woman and teacher who always loved writing but never seemed to have time to sit down and write a short story, let alone a novel. Now battling MS, her life changed dramatically, and she has finally slowed down enough to start writing all the stories she'd been wanting to tell, including the fun and sexy ones! Married over twenty-five years with three grown children, Tess is a former dog foster mom who ended up failing and adopting them instead. She and her husband (and their six dogs) split their time between the desert of Arizona and the lakes of Michigan, so she's always in a climate that's not too hot and not too cold, but just right!
This was my first read by Tess Summers and it most certainly won’t be my last! Mr. Infuriating was a great rom com! It was a fun, sweet and steamy read! Gretchen is recently divorced and is now a Single Mom to the most adorable little boy, Jake. Gabe is a single dad to two children. Gabe and Gretchen got off on the wrong foot. However, when these two happen to meet again they can’t deny their sizzling chemistry! It was only supposed to be one night but these two are perfect for each other! I loved how their relationship developed as they confronted their growing feelings for one another.

Just finished reading this book by Tess Summers and it’s a perfect read for me.
Hooked right from the start. We can already see a lot of their character stories right from the beginning. He’s a snarky “infuriating jerk” and she’s a divorced mom just trying to work things out and make ends meet.
I love that they gave them an engaging, unforgettable meet cute and overall I’d say this is a very fun and cute summer read.
My first book by this author and probably won’t be my last since this is my kind of genre.
P/S: Thank you to Booksprout for providing me with an ARC
This is book 1 in Summers' The Mister Series, and I am so excited for this series! This is the perfect start to a new series! Our main characters are Gretchen and Gabe. I adored how they met and Gabe's dilemma on coming clean on who he is. I love their instant connection and how it grew. The secondary characters are amazing as well, Gabe's brothers and both main characters kids are just a delight. Great balance of sweet and steam as well as humor. I love the reality of texting and thought the dual point of view was done very well with not a lot of receptiveness. This book was just so well written and well balanced with a smooth flowing storyline. Heartwarming with some heat! I can't wait for more in this series!

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a little bit “enemies to lovers” in the beginning but Gretchen and Gabe get past that pretty quickly. I thought they matched really well and I liked the supporting characters of Gabe’s brothers and I am looking forward to their stories. I liked the way Gretchen and Jake could help Gabe heal from the trauma in his past. I thought the spice was good, enhancing the story without overpowering it. I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book is the first in a new series and the story is both funny and serious. Funny because Gretchen and Gabe are a perfect case of idiots to lovers. Serious because it's not always a bed of roses. Some sensible topics are brought into the story that gives it depth. The writing is very good. The only thing that was a bit difficult is that I felt I should have read Gabe's big brother story first. But I don't know if it exists somewhere.
Mr. Infuriating is a steamy, enemies-to-lovers, single-dad romance that starts with a bang. The story introduces Gretchen, a newly divorced woman who, months earlier, walked in on her husband cheating on her. In a twist of fate, her new beginning is complicated by a custom cabinet order that leads her to Gabe, the cabinet shop owner. After a hilarious and embarrassing verbal faux pas on a phone call, Gretchen dubs Gabe the "Infuriating Jerk of the Year." However, their paths cross again at a bar where they share a steamy one-night stand, completely unaware of each other's identity. When a kitchen flood forces Gretchen and her son to move in with Gabe and his two children, a temporary arrangement quickly turns into a family.
The character development in this book is compelling. Gretchen is a strong and resilient protagonist, navigating the complexities of divorce and single motherhood while trying to find her footing. Gabe, our "infuriating" hero, is a charming and devoted single father with a protective streak. The dynamic between them is electric from the very beginning, transitioning from fiery animosity to a deep, undeniable connection. The way the narrative seamlessly weaves together a spicy romance with the everyday realities of parenting and cohabitation is a major strength.
The plot is fast-paced and full of unexpected turns, but it never loses sight of the emotional heart of the story. The central theme of second chances—for Gretchen to find love after betrayal and for Gabe to find a family—is handled with sensitivity and humor. The book successfully uses the forced proximity trope to create a palpable tension that keeps you invested in their journey. The domesticity of their situation, with both of their kids in the picture, adds a heartwarming layer to the spicy, adult romance.
This was my first read by Tess Summers, and I'm excited to check out more of her work. I'm giving this book a 4 out of 5 stars. It's a highly enjoyable and entertaining read that delivers on its promises of a steamy, emotional romance. The witty banter, strong characters, and heartwarming family dynamics make it a great choice for fans of the genre. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who enjoy stories with strong female leads, devoted single dads, and a high level of heat.
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.75 This book is for mature readers and contains explicit scenes and graphic language, earning it a high spice rating. The intimate moments are well-integrated into the plot, serving to deepen the characters' emotional bond as well as their physical connection.

Most likely did not finish the book. 2⭐️: The book didn’t quite resonate with me, and while my experience wasn’t remarkable, I did finish it. It had some redeeming qualities and potential but fell short in execution. Recommendable, though with some reservations. 3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Still worth recommending to others. 4⭐️: Really enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout. Would read the book again. Definitely recommendable. 5⭐️: Incredible writing that made me deeply connect with the characters. I was completely absorbed in the world and didn’t want it to end. Gretchen is married to Troy and they have an eighteen-month old named Jake. Gretchen is a 7th grade English teacher. She drops Jake off at daycare every day. Troy has been working until eight or nine every night. He doesn’t help Gretchen at home or with Jake. The kids are dismissed at noon for the teacher’s planning day. There is a power outage at the school, so the principal sends the teachers home. Gretchen decides to surprise Troy with an office picnic so they can reconnect. Gretchen is the one surprised when she opens Troy’s office door and his assistant, Cora, is bent over the desk having sex with Troy.
Six months later, they are divorced. Seven months ago, Troy insisted on a kitchen renovation and ordered custom cabinets that cost $40,000.00. Now, three days after their divorce is final, Gretchen gets a call from Mitchell Cabinets and Woodworking that the cabinets are finished and ready for installation. Gretchen talks to Rick, the manager, and even though he is sympathetic, he tells her they can sue her because they have a contract. Gretchen begs Rick to talk to the owner. Rick thinks he put Gretchen on hold while talking to Gabe, but he actually did not. Rick tells Gabe how Gretchen found her husband cheating with his assistant. Gabe says that Troy is an idiot because Gretchen was good-looking and out of Troy’s league. When Gabe is told that Gretchen doesn’t want the cabinets, he states that they are custom made and there is a contract. He makes an off-handed comment about maybe helping Gretchen out is she is riding his appendage. Gretchen shouts into the phone and the men realize she was not on hold.
Gabe is 39 and divorced from Becky. They have a son named Braydon and a daughter named Brittany. They have been divorced for five years but Becky still finds ways to blame Gabe for things. Now he has another woman, Gretchen, a client, mad at him. He wishes he could help Gretchen, but they can’t afford to eat the cost of the materials and the time spent creating them.
Laura is Gretchen’s best friend and they are supposed to meet at Flannigan’s, a new bar that just opened in Lancastle. Gabe’s younger brother, Derrick, owns Flannigan’s. I thought it was funny how Derrick thought Gabe and Gretchen would be perfect together. I knew that this would be a complicated mess, but it was a cute story.

I had the chance to read Mr. Infuriating by Tess Summers as an early copy, and once again, I found everything I love in her writing. After falling in love with her San Diego Social Elite series, I expected a sweet, well-paced romance — and I wasn’t disappointed.
The story introduces us to Gretchen, a recently divorced single mom, who places a custom cabinet order with Gabe, a skilled carpenter and fellow single parent… but also undeniably infuriating. After a first impression that leaves much to be desired — she even nicknames him “Mr. Infuriating Jerk of the Year” — fate brings them together again in a completely different setting, and that unexpected reunion turns their lives upside down. When an emergency in her home leads to them living under the same roof temporarily, the forced closeness sparks emotions neither of them saw coming.
What moved me most was the characters themselves. They’re not perfect or overly idealized — they’re just real. They doubt, they make mistakes, they react poorly at times, but they’re also honest with each other, which allows them to grow, apologize, and move forward. I especially appreciated how the author avoids overused romance tropes: no drawn-out misunderstandings, no unnecessary drama based on things left unsaid. Instead, Gretchen and Gabe face things head-on, with a refreshing maturity and sincerity.
The book also touches on a deeper emotional theme with grace and subtlety. Without giving anything away, Gabe carries a heartbreaking past, and certain encounters force him to confront that pain. That’s where the story truly shines: beneath its warmth and lightness lies a layer of grief, healing, and the delicate art of rebuilding. It’s not just a love story — it’s a story of resilience and second chances.
I also loved seeing two single parents trying to balance their family life and careers while slowly letting someone else in. Their connection builds naturally, at a perfect pace — never rushed, never dragging. The storytelling flows effortlessly, every scene falling into place with just the right emotional weight.
When I finished the book, I felt like I had just read something honest. Not perfect, but true — with its messiness, its heart, and its quiet beauty. Tess Summers once again delivers characters who feel real, emotions that stay with you, and a tender reminder of what it means to love deeply.
I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Infuriating to anyone who loves gentle, heartfelt romances with authentic characters and emotional depth. And I can't wait to read the next ones in this new series.
I loved this book and this couple! Gretchen & Gabe get off on the wrong foot. She is newly divorced when the company calls to advise her new kitchen cabinets are ready. Her ex-husband wanted the cabinets and now that they are divorced, she can't afford them and explains that she wants to cancel. Of course with the cabinets being custom, there is no chance that is going to happen and also explains her new situation. When the employee thinks he puts her on hold and tells the boss the situation, he makes a crude comment about her cancelling and she overhears... from there things go downhill. Gabe's company threatens to sue her and advises she can't get out of paying for the custom cabinets. At this point, I absolutely loved Gretchen because she was so real and honest! They continue to go back and forth because she has these darn cabinets her ex wanted and now she is stuck with them and she tries a payment plan, thinks about selling her house all normal things a sane person goes through when on a budget.
They accidentally meet at a bar, and while Gabe knows who she is, she doesn't know he is the cabinet boss. Things get really interesting when they decide to have a night together once he comes clean on who he is. One incredible night turns into a weekend and at the end of the weekend, they both can't stop thinking about the other. They start spending more time together and when his brother intervenes during cabinet installation, they get to spend even more time together with all their children. I loved this blended family and Gabe's brothers and parts of this book had me laughing as well as relatable as a single parent and feeling this book was spot on with realism.
Gabe comes from a large family and can't wait to read his brother's stories and also catch up with this family as well.

5 STARS: WONDERFUL, FUNNY LOVE STORY. Gretchen Wainwright is a naive, sweet lady, likely due to her experience teaching young children all day. She is in recovery mode after catching her cheating husband, Troy, in the act. The divorce is over, and she and her wonderful 18-month-old son, Jake, are better off without a man who had ignored them both. Money is tight now, but it’s about to get even tighter. Before the blow-up and divorce, Troy had ordered new, custom-built kitchen cabinets for their home costing $40,000.00, and the cabinets are now ready for installation and payment. Gabriel ‘Gabe” Mitchell is proud of the kitchen cabinets he custom-built for the Wainwrights. Now he needs them scheduled for installation and the payment. Poor Gretchen is shocked when she gets the call about the cabinets. She doesn’t have that kind of money, so she tells them to cancel the order. The story revolves around Gabe and Gretchen, who are at odds over the order he has been working on for months. While Gretchen is supposed to be on hold to talk with Gabe about canceling the order, she overhears some remarks about her from Gabe. It’s comical when Gretchen overhears sexual references about her. What! Gabe is such a good guy; he’s so embarrassed she heard what he said, but she really is his dream girl. Gabe’s trying to do everything he can to help Gretchen with this problem. They are great together, they fit together perfectly, except she wants more children, and he doesn’t want any more. Throughout the story, little Jake is the cutest baby, and Gabe’s kids, Brittany and Brayden, are great. Gabe is close with his brothers, and they all weave in and out of this story. So many great characters. I loved this story. Linda
Gretchen: newly divorced, Mom to a 2 yr old, Jake, and a 7th grade teacher. She works hard to do the right thing in her work and personal life although she is a bit naive at times. Her ex was cheating and gave up his rights to their son in their divorce. Gretchen got the house along with all the expenses. She really wants to give Jake a sibling.
Gabe: Divorced with 2 kids in middle school. He is a master woodmaker who has his own family business. He has 3 other brothers and they all own their businesses so it is a tight knit family. He has reached a point where he no longer wants any more kids, but there is a secret that he carries.
Gabe and Gretchen clash over the kitchen cabinets that were specifically made for her kitchen per her husband's request. Gretchen forgets about the cabinets during the divorce till she gets a call to install them. Words are traded between the 2 with some colorful comments.
Gretchen has a Girls’ nite out with her bestie, where she unknowingly meets Gabe at his brothers’ bar. He uses his full name when they are introduced, since he knows who she is. They hit it off and spend a night together, which turns into a weekend. They both agree it is just a weekend and agree to go their separate ways.
But neither Gabe nor Gretchen can't stop thinking about the other. There are twists with both of their ex’s which add to the hilarity of the situation Gabe/Grethcen find themselves in. the challenges of navigating dating and kids. Gabe is very protective of Gretchen
This book is funny, relevant to today’s dating scene and blended families.
Gretchen Wainwright is now a divorced single mom of a 2yr old boy Jake after catching her husband cheating on her. Her ex had insisted on redoing the kitchen cabinets but of course it wasn't paid for prior to the divorce and since he gave her the house he's certainly not paying for any of it. When she finds out how much it is she tries to cancel the order only to be told it's too late they are done and ready for delivery. While on the phone to the cabinet company she overhears something she shouldn't have and she's not happy. She calls him "Infuriating Jerk of the Year."
Gabe Mitchell is a divorced father of 2 kids 13 and 11 and is the owner of Mitchell Cabinets and Woodworking. He has finished these custom made cabinets and is ready to install them and collect payment of $40,000. But she wants to cancel the order.
Gretchen and Gabe run into each other at his brother's bar but they don't know who each other is. Two weeks later they run into each other again and end up spending the night together and he tells her who he is. This was supposed to be one time but turns into way more and when she has plumbing issues during installation he has her move into his house. They make a deal that when her cabinets are installed they are done but what happens if feelings get involved? They want different things. Will that make a difference?
Another fun read by Tess Summers! I enjoyed this book, and it included a meet-cute that was different than others I’ve read!
I really liked that the characters, when given the opportunity to either withhold the truth to get what they want, or be honest and risk it, they choose to communicate honestly. So refreshing! There wasn’t unnecessary angst due to withholding or miscommunication.
From the beginning, the two main characters know they’re not compatible partners, even though they both feel a strong pull to one another. They want different things for their futures, mainly surrounding having more kids: one is for, one is against. When we find out *why* one doesn’t want more kids, there’s absolute understanding.
Even though the FMC kept giving the MMC chances after he seemed to act like a jerk, I never felt like she was a doormat. She stood up for herself and her son, and she didn’t compromise what she wanted for her future.
One of my favorite things about the book is how Gabe’s brothers and his kids were wingmanning Gabe throughout the book. They all could see what Gabe was trying to avoid seeing in Gretchen. And Gabe’s kids were so protective of Gretchen and Jake when Gretchen’s ex came around. It was a sweet touch!
Overall, a good book with unexpected emotional depth! I really liked it!
Oh my goodness, this was so good! I've had a few Tess Summer books on my TBR for what feels like way too long and I was so excited to jump on the opportunity to arc read book 1 of a new series.
Mr. Infuriating is incredibly well written and not only is it a fantastic story itself, it sets the groundwork with all the secondary characters that have me itching for the rest of the books already!
This is a contemporary romance about two single parents in a very relatable storyline.
Mature characters who have undeniable chemistry but seem to be at very different points in their life and don't see how they could make things last beyond some temporary fun. The problem with fate? Sometimes before you know it, you've slid so easily into each other's lives that you're more trying to find ways to backtrack and keep everyone's hearts still intact.
While this isn't dark by any means, it does contain some subject matter and sensitive topics that may bother or be painful for some readers, so I urge you to check the content warnings.
Otherwise, I absolutely recommend this book! It is fun, heartwarming, swoon-worthy, and no amount of spice is left out when it comes to Gretchen rediscovering her happiness. Highly recommend!!
Yet another excellent light read from Tess. I was really torn on the star rating, as it doesn’t let you do half stars. I wanted to do 4.5 🌟 So I feel bad that I had to give it only 4 stars 🌟 but I also wouldn’t have felt right giving it a 5 🌟 As usual, there are some quite erotic scenes, which I find extremely embarrassing, but it is so easy to skim over it, and yet not lose any of the story. The characters are relatable, and I normally have managed to guess how exactly the 2 main characters actually bang their heads together and work out they are perfect for each other, but this one did actually surprise me a little. It wasn’t quite as I expected. There are just a couple of things that irritated me in the book. The first is just how nice and perfect the 2 main characters are (when they are not internal wrangling with their emotions), although that is the same in all Tess’s books. 😂 The second is all the brothers Gabe has. That in itself is not the issue. But he initially mentions all their names at one time, and then mentions a name in conversation, but because they were all named at once, I had to really work my poor brain cells to remember who the person was he just mentioned. Excellent book. Can’t wait for the next one.
A Heartwarming & Sizzling Rom-Com…. This delightful rom-com had me hooked from start to finish! The story follows a single mom and a single dad who initially don’t hit it off, but the chemistry between them sizzles in the best possible way when their paths cross again. The romance was so satisfying—nothing felt forced, and the connection between them was electric without being over-the-top.
What really stood out to me, though, was the secondary characters. They added so much charm and depth to the story. Their presence was the perfect complement to the main couple.
The balance of spice was also spot on. It added the right amount of heat to the story without overshadowing the romance or becoming too much. It was just the right amount of tension and passion.
Overall, this book is an absolute gem, and I can’t wait for the next installment in the series. If you love a well-written, heartfelt rom-com with just the right amount of chemistry and fun side characters, this one is definitely for you!
Rating: solid 4 stars
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a super cute single-parent romance. On a serious note, I appreciated how Tess wrote about how much work it is to be a parent and the difficulty of sharing the work with a partner. Our culture is shifting when it comes to gender roles, but more often than not, the women end up doing more work around the house and for the kids.
There was far-fetched plot point, the male mc didn't know the female mc had a kid. He comes to her house and spends the night. The female mc repeatedly mentions that since her toddler's high chair is put away, he can't tell a kid lives there. THAT IS CRAZY! Even if you only have one child, their stuff is everywhere! There would be books or stuffies or blocks somewhere outside of their bedroom. Plus, does she not have family pictures up?? I was shocked when the fact that he didn't know she already had a kid became a huge issue, because I assumed he already knew.
I still enjoyed the book and found myself smiling as I was reading. The characters were relatable and I loved the HEA.

Mr. Infuriating by Tess Summers was a delightful romance. The main characters were fantastic and the premise was great. Gretchen gets divorced and forgets they had ordered custom cabinets. Gabe is the cabinet maker and needs her to pay for the cabinets, which she cannot afford. He is very attracted to her and wants to help her out. Gretchen is also attracted to Gabe. Unfortunately they want different things. So they agree to have a short term no strings attached affair. Every woman deserves a Gabe. He is just fantastic! Definitely not infuriating. Gretchen has a two year old son and Gabe is divorced with two kids, Brittany and Brayden. They are wonderful characters and definitely want their father to get over himself and get with Gretchen. Gabe's brothers also know Gabe hesitation is ridiculous. He has such a great supportive family. I can't wait to read his sibling's stories. This is a beautifully written and engaging story from start to finish. A wonderful world to be drawn into.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tess Summers is a new to me author and this arc was the first book of hers I've read, but it won't be the last. This was a really entertaining read. Gabe & Gretchen were great characters that clearly had a connection but we're at different places in their lives and what they wanted didn't align. Though it didn't stop them from getting together with an end date they agreed on. I really liked Gabe's brothers and how they all interacted in person and text. I wanted to yell and shake Gabe so many times, but he eventually got his act together, so I forgave him! Oh, and the spice? Good god was it hot! I was not prepared for that! I read some really spicy books, but this one was just, wow! Gretchen really came into herself by being with Gabe, giving her a much needed confidence boost. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I thought it could've been a little shorter. The other is that the writing style was just different from what I'm use to, and some of the word choices were odd to me. But that's really a me problem and not the authors. Overall though, I really did like this book. It was funny, emotional and hot, and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.
Gretchen Kelly’s resolve not to be around Gabe Mitchell is virtually nonexistent even though she called him Mr. Infuriating. He does not meet her find a new husband and pop out some kids’ plan, but maybe she could just practice the making the kids part so when she does find her new baby daddy she would be ready to rock his world. The only problem is Gabe, his kids, her son and her all start getting attached. Heartbreak is in the horizon . She needs Mr. Infuriating to be a little less likeable and a lot more infuriating. Tess Summer has written another page turn with all the feels. It is a well written sweet and steamy single parent romance with relatable characters who are working through single parenthood, tragic loss and moving on. These two may have different relationship goals, but as Gage’s brothers keep pointing out they are perfect soul mates. Even their cute kids have it all figured out before they do. Great story. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.
Gretchen is newly single after a divorce and is raising her two year old son alone. Gabe is a furniture designer that Gretchen hired to redo the cabinets in her house prior to her divorce. When it's time to install, Gretchen does not have the money to finish the project. When Gabe unbeknownst makes an inappropriate comment, it puts them at odds. When they meet at Gabe's brothers bar, they agree to a one night stand. The one night stand turns into a weekend. Gabe and Gretchen are compatible in everyday except for wanting kids. Gabe has always wanted a lot of kids but when tragedy strikes, he shuts down in regards to kids. Gabe definitely lived up to his nickname in this book with his constant back and forth. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait for the next installment. I hope the wait will not be too long.

This was such a fun summer read! My second read from Tess & I absolutely loved it! This contemporary romance was really quite sweet, the spice was on point & throughout the humour had me giggling away!
Gretchen’s life very quickly takes a turn so she does what she can to make the best of it until a fateful phone call when someone forgets to hit the mute button. Needless to say Gabe, the kitchen cabinet carpenter has his work cut out for him. But to everyone else these two are clearly meant be, they just need to get on board with the idea.
I love the relationship Gabe has with his brothers, so supporting & encouraging (Beau & his sink plans!). The text threads between them had me laughing out loud. And the interaction between their kids was just adorable!
It came at just the right time for me as I was in need of a more lighthearted read & although I was on edge as to how it would all play out, it was ultimately a fabulous read! Had I not been working I’d have probably read it quicker than the two days it took me!
Mr. Infuriating is a wonderful read and true to I'm sure many lives. Gabe and Gretchen are drawn to each other even though they both say they want different things. They can't fight their attraction to one another and their one weekend soon becomes more. Gabe brings the charm, the steam and the "wood" that Gretchen can't resist, and it's not all about the cabinets he's going to be installing in her kitchen. Gabe and His kids fit right with Gretchen and her son and Gretchen fits with Gabe and his kids. An "accident" while Gabe is working on installing Gretchen's new kitchen cabinets gives the five of them the opportunity to discover just how good things can be. There's plenty of sass from Gabe's eleven-year-old daughter, clear insight from Gabe's thirteen-year-old son and sweet cuteness from Gretchen's two-year-old boy. A sweet family in the making!
Gretchen and her ex-husband had planned to redo their kitchen when they were still married, but now that they are divorced it’s out of the budget for Gretchen. Unfortunately, Gabe already has the cabinets made and ready to go. After some frustrating back and forth interactions she names him Mr. Infuriating, but little does she know that the man she flirts with at the bar is Mr. Infuriating himself! Their chemistry is off the charts and they are drawn to each other. They have a weekend fling but try to end it there since she wants more kids and he does not. However after some kitchen complications she ends up moving into his house and blending well with his kids and their weekend fling goes longer. Can he get past his not wanting kids? Will they decide they really are soulmates? The chemistry, steam, family interactions, and storyline make for a fantastic read!
Mr. Infuriating is the 1st book in the Mister series, yet on occassion I felt like I was missing a prequel, because there were a lot of characters named but never really introduced. Nevertheless, I greatly enjoyed Gretchen and Gabe's adversaries-to-lovers romance, though I was really getting more and more frustrated with their inability to move an inch from their ideal plans for the future - without ever having a discussion about a compromise. The story is full of laughter, tears, steamy sexy times filled with unexpected dirty talk, loyal friends, family and most wonderful of all, three absolutely adorable kids. I loved them and was so glad to see them become the family they all deserved. Can't wait for the next Mister to find his soulmate. I received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
I loved everything about this book. Gretchen was an amazing female lead for this, single mom/teacher trying to move on with her life and maybe find love again (or just amazing sex) but willing to stand her ground against Gabe. Gabe had more layers to him than I originally expected, loved the vulnerability in his back story. They were evenly matched for each other. I loved the interaction and support of his brothers and how it leaves the door open for each of their stories to follow. The sex scenes were amazing but didn't overwhelm the story line. Highly recommend and can't wait to read more of the Mr. Infuriating series!.

Thank you, Tess Summers, for the ARC of Mr. Infuriating!
"She was really going to hate me. Eh, she won’t be the first woman. She’ll get over it. Or not, if my track record was any indicator."
The beginning of this book absolutely cracked me up. The whole book was so much fun.
I love how things came together for Gretchen and Gabe. Their story was well-written, from the way they met to the way Gabe treated Gretchen like a queen!
The kids in this book were precious, and I enjoyed all of the characters and the funny banter.
Mr. Infuriating will be released on July 24th. It's the first book in the "Mister Series" and will be available on Kindle Unlimited! ❤️
I found this book to be a poignant and inspiring enemies to lovers, single parent romance.
When Gretchen is introduced, the circumstances of her divorce and Jake’s father’s lack of interest in him make her an admirable and relatable character. I felt for her loss. However, as Gabe’s history is gradually revealed, he is equally inspiring in his ability to overcome the tragedy in his past.
Ms. Summers has a talent for creating characters that draw in the reader so that one truly wants them to find their happily ever after. Mr. Infuriating is such a story. I highly recommend and look forward to more in this new series.
Didn’t feel it: Unfortunately I had a hard time getting into this book. I found it to be rather immature in the way relationships were viewed, with the focus being heavily on the physical side. It did improve and become more authentic and deep later on, but sadly my enthusiasm for the book had waned by then. I also thought that it was a bit long and could have benefited from being trimmed down. The chemistry between Gretchen and Gabe was strong but they wanted different things and I found the continual back and forth, especially by Gabe, to be tiresome. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
