Such a great read full of really interesting stories. Although it had the potential to be really hard to digest, the timeline is really well placed and doesn’t become overwhelmingly complicated at any point. It’s a brilliantly executed idea walk through the timeline through women’s individual yet similar stories.
Clear eyed, historical insight to the lives female experience in Ireland over three decades. The interesting first hand narratives are supported by evidence of social history, but not in a heavy, academic way. Not a particularly long book, easily read, providing a snapshot of women's lives.
