Usually when I find an art book in a bookstore I flip through and decide its great but too expensive. However, since I am a paper freak and a cutout freak, and also interested in cardboard slot and tab structures, and book arts, there were too many entries for me to leave it behind. For someone with the same interests its stunning for sure. Most artists I have not heard of and work I have not seen before. Very amazing French artists that I would not normally know to look for online. Very lovely. What is also pretty great is that it is not limited to cut paper design but also points out some great artists who design clothing, furniture design and even orange peel cutting. The author focuses on contemporary cutting artists but provides just the right amount of historical and cultural background information without being too much and plenty of color photos. Lovely lovely.
