Kit Stitcher: Planet One

Rate this book
A girl who invades your dreams and consumes your pain—even if she doesn’t mean to, even if it kills her…

Kit Stitcher falls sick a lot.

But it’s not just illness.

As a kid, she once revived a dying Christmas tree just by being near it. Then came the dreams—other people’s dreams. Then the emotions—ones that weren’t hers. And then the pain—pulled from people, animals, even plants.

She’s never been able to explain it. But her mother knows more than she lets on.

On a quiet beach trip with her best friend Janna, Kit discovers something carved into a cliff: a stone archway. No markings. No door. Just an opening to something… else.

Stranger still—Kit seems to be the only one who can pass through it.

On the other side waits a world in dire need of help—and maybe, a reason for everything Kit has ever felt.

And far off in the cosmos, someone may be watching.

Or should be.

Kit Stitcher: Planet One is undergoing a rewrite. Best to wait until that’s finished before reading.

Ant got his start writing horror stories on Reddit, where one of his earliest — a dark piece about a chatbot that convinces a man to take his own life — went viral after readers mistook it for a true account. That story, B-Bot, sparked thousands of reactions and made him realize he wanted to create something larger.

The idea for Kit Stitcher came years later, from a strange concept: what if God had gone missing — not out of neglect, but because something had happened to Him? And what if He left behind clues, scattered in plain sight, waiting to be found? That seed grew into a cosmic mystery about empathy, pain, and a girl who feels too much.

He lives with his wife and two cats, who are the only ones allowed to edit his work.

Kit Stitcher: Planet One is a dreamlike, slow-burning mystery that lingers in your mind long after the final page. With hauntingly quiet moments and subtle emotional depth, it weaves a strange and beautiful story about identity, connection, and the hidden corners of the psyche. If you enjoy stories that feel like puzzles wrapped in poetry, this one’s for you. A surreal, unforgettable experience.

This book is quite strange. When I had finished reading it, I went back to reread a few parts here and there in the beginning the middle and it was interesting to see the hints and clues sprinkled along the way. Tbh I loved reading it. Kit definitely has some unique/quirky abilities—or I guess I should say "capabilities" since it seems the author favored that word over abilities and the like which I guess makes sense as you read.

There was a sort of addicting quality to the story. I kept turning pages. Recommend for sure. Thanks.
