It was a short read. Love the characters, love that we got a look at the rainforest. What fun the characters were having. It was good to see Benji.

It sounds like a fun way to pack just put everything on the couch and take it all couch included. Lots of good humor in these chapters.
It will be sad to see this series end.

I will keep reading books by Debora in the future.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest opinion.

I am very much going to miss the witches.

it breaks my heart that there is only one more book. I sincerely hope Deb finds her happy place once more. I have been there and understand. Time heals, but you are never quite the same!

Another wonderful slice of life in Witch Central. My only complaint is that it's too short! I am really going to miss these characters now that Debora Gearyhas ended this wonderful series. These books are wonderful joy-filled books about family, friends that turn into family, friends helping friends and all kinds of love & humor. The characters are complex & well developed, even the non-human ones (the orb and Fuzzball the cat in particular). This little nugget of Witch Central is set in Costa Rica, with nice descriptions of Costa Rican forest. We get to learn more about Teo as he teaches them some important life lessons. This is a wonderful series that must be read in order to really enjoy it. The final book in the series was recently published A Dangerous Witch. I am so sad that this is end! I wish the author best wishes with the changes in life that caused the end of this series and will look for whatever she writes in the future.

What a wonderful little snippet about family, love, and cherished memories. Geary continues to deepen her characters as she focuses on more family members within the witch community she has created. I am sad that A Dangerous Witch will be the last book in the series, but I am more sad that Debora is going through such a rough patch in her life. She has mentioned that she bases her strong female characters on herself, so I know that she will eventually write new books which will inspire and captivate her readers.

This is a great addition to the series. I know, it's just about over. There is one more that I 'should' read, but I think it will wait until the next time I'm bored. A couple of uncles living in the rainforest that help turn a vacation into a wonderful learning experience are at the center of this amazing novel. Not that anyone really gets left out, but swimming, target practice, and baseball combine with an old ritual and a bunch of parrot feathers to create a lot of life lessons. The joy and love of food are never far from these novels. Enjoy!

A wonderful visit with magical friends

This story is an amazing addition to the Witch Central series of stories. It's about growing and finding the parts of you. I can't wait to find my own feathers

Witch

I have read all of Debora Gearys Witch Central books and loved and enjoyed every one of them! It makes me very sad to see this series end but I will watch for the books she will write when her life is back in control!

Absolutely love this series

This book wasn’t so much about the magic that lies within the grasp of witch central. However the family connection to love, honour, persistence and determination while insisting that anything can be achieved if you try hard enough even if you fail to reach the milestone you seek the journey is the reward.

This was a delightful short read. I loved seeing the costa rica witch crew that we have only seen in passing in the other books.

Steam Content: Super Sweet.

A beautiful nibble and my last book in the series, although this apparently comes before A Dangerous Witch chronologically. Not as emotionally powerful as most of the books, it was still cute and sweet and uplifting.

What bothered me the most about this book was the discussion of the heat of summer in Costa Rica. I've spent two summers in Costa Rica. It is lovely. They call our summer their winter because it is their dry season. They are close enough to the equator that they do not have significant seasonal temperature variation. Most of the country is mountainous and it tends to get cool and beautiful at night in the mountains year round. The beaches and rainforest tend to be a bit hotter and muggier and do have mosquitoes, but it is still pretty temperate compared to California. More humid, but cooler... and it does cool off nicely at night, even in the rainforest.

But other than that irrelevant detail, it was a beautiful story.

I have to say, as much as I've loved all of the Witch Central books and these characters, this one didn't do much for me. Throughout most of the series, even the shorts, I felt like any reader could pick it up and still enjoy the story, even if they weren't familiar with the previous books. It has been a while since I read them, so maybe they are just too far back in my memory, but this time I felt like it was too ingrained into personalities we met before. I found myself trying to remember too much and couldn't get into the flow. Still, I love Geary's writing, character development, and gentle way of seeking answers. I look forward to whatever she comes up with next.

Witch Central short story about their trip to Costa Rica. The final book in this series will be out in October and I am not looking forward to the end of this series. These books are amazing stories of friends, family and community with a bit of magick tossed in to make it interesting. You don't have to believe in magick to love them, you just have to believe in family and that families come in all shapes and sizes.

Matt and Teo host Witch Central

This is another of Geary's morsels. Witch Central packs up and heads to Costa Rica where they have traditions of their own. This is another look at a family loving and supporting each other is the best ways possible.

I will say that it seemed fluffy after An Unlikely Witch, which pulled at all my heart strings.

Suffice it to say, that I have simply enjoyed the whole series and its extensive cast of characters.

Teo teaches lessons to all of Witch Central. Some new lessons learns, some old lessons remembered. A story that shows not everyone is perfect at everything in life. But, still can achieve anything they set their mind to.
Sad this series is ending... it is exceptional reading as you follow these characters through life lessons.

Pages full of joy!!

I am a pessimist. Sometimes a nonbeliever. But this writer makes me cry tears of happiness every time. I love Moira. I want to be Nell. Read this morsel of a story. But read all the books first. They are all unbelievably enjoyable. Thank you Debora. Please find it within you to continue.

This morsel was taken with tears and as always a lesson to be taken away. Loved it as always and heartbroken that there will be only one more story about witch central coming out. I recognize this story for the journey that needs to happen and hope that someday that journey brings Geary back to this magical world she created.

I suspect I read this for two reasons: the cover is lovely and the Witch Central books are done. Very stock Witch Central - only in Costa Rica, but that was simply a vehicle for the usual Witch Central activities. Which I like - people who love each other, are supportive, non-judgmental and happy have their own magic.

Witch Central love affair

I am deeply sorry to hear that Debora is stopping with her stories about Witch Central. I have enjoyed her writings and ability to tell a story. I love her stories and creativity. This book was no different. A lot of fun to read. It held my attention and was very pleasant to read. Thanks.

Loving this little bit of magic!

As always fantastically written about the Witch Central crew. I have to admit that I was a bit crushed to read that the next I read will be the last in this series. Sending love, joy and happiness to the author that has made me laugh, cry, and fall in love with her characters.

I do not think that I have ever made it through one of Debora Geary's books with dry eyes, not even her short ones. She writes characters that I get emotionally invested in. I will miss her witches.

I always enjoy books in the Modern Witch series, and this short was no exception. It was fun to get away from the "normal" locations for the series, and see the characters in a new setting. I'll be very sorry to finish the last book.
