Draco Malfoy wasn't thrilled about Voldemort's new plan to bring down the Order. In fact he thought that it was a quite stupid plan to begin with but he had no intentions on voicing his opinions out loud. He wasn't stupid and if anything the last years of having Voldemort as a house guest have taught him, was to not object with whatever demand he came up with.
So when Voldemort asked Draco to defect to the Order and pretend to be on their side, only to betray them and take them down from the inside... Draco just did it.
Hermione wasn't thrilled with the new addition to the Order and even though he passed their tests and didn't object at their conditions, she couldn't help but be wary of him but they had to work together on various missions so she had to start trusting him.
Slowly but surely, Draco proved to be an important member for the Order.
He even helped the twins with their inventions, becoming their test dummy and coming up with ideas to improve their product.
And as time went on he started to realize that everything he was taught as a child wasn't really true.
The more time he spend with Granger, the more he understood how brilliant she was and even though he tried his best to stay away from her, he couldn't help to gravitate towards her.
They together with Teddy, created an improve family and he vowed to do anything to keep them safe.
