Skins meets Sliding Doors in this book about second chances from the author of Milestones.
It's 2008. Eighteen-year-old best friends Jag, Matt, and Cassie are about to enter the world of adulthood, a world they are convinced they already understand. But when Jag makes a decision that changes the course of their entire lives, they find out just how unforgiving the adult world can be.
Then one night, things go from bad to worse as their lives are ripped apart by a devastating act that is destined to push their friendship to its limits. As they're about to suffer the consequences, they are given another chance to start over, another chance to do things differently. But they soon realise that different doesn't always mean better.
Closing Time is a nostalgic story about love, friendship, and the lengths we go to protect the people we value the most.
I read an advanced copy of this and loved it. I didn't know where the story was going to go at all. A good twist in there too, a very solid story and very easy to follow with the flow of characters and storylines.
This is the second book I've read by this author, and I loved it as much as the first. The author's ability to mix humor with heartbreaking emotion is brilliant.I didn't see the twists coming, and it had me on edge to the very end.
