Her inheritance is her only lifeline. But her ex’s family wants to steal it from her.
Tanya is praying for a miracle. Penniless and out of work, she’s tired of struggling just to feed herself and her son. But when she receives a surprise gift from her late ex-mother-in-law in the form of a beautiful beachside house and an ancient antique shop, it feels too good to be true.
But there’s a catch—the tiny town of Magnolia Harbor is the home of her estranged ex’s family... and plenty of long-buried secrets that she’d prefer to leave in the dark. Faced with a jealous ex-brother and sister-in-law who would do anything to rob her and her son of their newfound future, Tanya struggles to bring the antique shop back to life and make friends with the suspicious locals.
And when an old lover unexpectedly steps back into her life, it threatens to drown her beneath a sea of intrigue, anxiety... and a passion that never died. Tanya never expected to see Ryder again. But she’s hiding a massive secret from him—one that will change both of their lives forever.
And in these small towns, secrets have a way of getting out.
The Beachside Summer Shop is a beautiful beachside read with clean romance, summertime vibes, family drama, & second chances.
I’m having a hard time with this book & it doesn’t seem like I’m the only one. It doesn’t seem like anybody is writing much on this series. So evidently I’m not the only trying to keep up with what is going up, plus so much time between finishing the book, being able to post your review, you forget what is going on, so when the next book finally comes out I have I forgot what was happening. First they find a skeleton in the closet at the shop & now a ghost in the attic!
I received this ARC book for free & I am giving my honest review in my own words with no help from the author.
A nice summer read with a bit of mystery and second chance romance. This is not a standalone but the second part of a series. They must be read in order. The author continues to develop the plot and characters. In this portion of the story, we see the negative impact gossip has, as well as things not being as they appear. The book ends with a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to seeing what it brings. I received an ARC of the book and I am leaving my thoughts without influence from the publisher or author.
Tanya with the help of Ryder have hot the house fairly cleaned out and now working on the shop. Tanya realizes the antiques won't sell so she decides to use part for antiques, and the rest for things tourists, would like. Things seem to be going well. Myles is starting to like living in Magnolia Harbor and spending time with Ryder. Then the threatening phone calls start.

This is an advanced reader copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
In part 2 of the series the plot thickens. Theres a lot of family drama in this story and we are slowly uncovering the reason. Tanya and Ryder are developing a second chance romance, but she has a huge secret she needs to disclose. There is another cliffhanger ending. These must be read in order.
