Edited review.
Tldr: awesome book to support for when you're in need of uplifting, sugary hea's.

The authors should add that the proceeds go to Trans Lifeline!!
In the blurb, in the book... not just slap a generic "charity anthology" on the cover.

I downloaded this to support a worthy cause, and I'm glad I did.

While reading the novellas I thought this book feels overall like 2 stars maybe 2,5 but since it's for charity and the authors obviously didn't donate their best work I'll nevertheless round up to 3 stars.

Novella 1 by M. Jean - Just a Fling:
Sweet but simple, very insta-attraction and insta-love.
2 stars.
Need an example?
"Sully lifts my hand to tenderly brush his lips over my palm. “Tell me about you?”
“What do you want to know?”
A shiver passes through me when Sully flips my hand over to kiss each knuckle, then the top of my wrist. “Why are you at a wedding alone? You’re amazing. You should be treated like a king every day, well-loved.”
I close my eyes as the pain lances through me. I’ve known him two days, and already he sees to the core of me. Evan never even saw me that well after our years of marriage."
;)

Novella 2 by Hannah Henry - Snapshots:
Also very sweet.
2,5 stars.

Novella 3 by J.J. Mulder - It's Italy Not Love:
Sweet, 3 stars.

ARC REVIEW
This was a lovely romance anthology, with 3 different stories by Maya Jean, Hannah Henry and JJ Mulder. I'm a bit Maya Jean fan but I hadn't yet read anything by the other two authors (knowing me, tho, I've got a few of their books on my tbr ofc).
These three stories have the same stating point:a wedding in Tuscany, Olivia and Bailey get married and in the process spread love to Olivia's brother and Bailey teammate, two of the photographers, and Olivia's coworker.

As I've mentioned, anything Maya Jean is always a big yes, so the lonely divorced doctor falling in love under the Tuscany sky with the sweet NFL player that restores his trust in love was lovely to read.

Hannah Henry gives us a best friend's little brother romance. It's not truly a proper second chance romance, but morenof a hookup to misunderstanding (in the past) to lovers. They take pictures, enjoy Tuscany and mend their relationship while falling in love. I really liked the characterization and relationship dynamics.

JJ Mulder gives us a holiday fling (but not truly) turned romance between Olivia's coworker and a Finnish waiter at the wedding. I loved how JJ described the magical wonder that is Italy, it really jumped of the page. And the relationship between these two was so soft and sweet. Loved it.

I really enjoyed how all three stories were more focused on the relationship and the building of intimacy, instead of being horny lil shorts. The characters are endearing and you are rooting for their HEAs with all your heart.

4.5⭐Overall

Welcome to a book of aesthetic perfection! Tuscany is one of my ultimate dream destinations, so until I can actually visit, I’m more than happy to indulge in gems like this. <3

These are three short stories, and I went in knowing that—so no complaints later like “omg this was way too fast, too insta, not enough depth, mimimimi.” It’s simple: beautiful men, falling in love in Tuscany, getting their happily ever after. That’s it. That’s the magic. It’s love at first sight, sure—but somehow, you can feel the forever.

Just a Fling by Maya Jean - 4.5⭐MCs: Tate (40 yo) & Sully (30 yo)

Age gap | doctor x NFL player | Ace/ Demi rep

Tate, a workaholic cardiac surgeon recently divorced after his ex cheated on him due to his long hours, meets Sully—a gentle giant and NFL player in his final season—at the wedding of Olivia (Tate’s sister) and Bailey (Sully’s best friend and teammate).

God, the pure perfection of these two—whether they’re in the middle of a vineyard or soaking in a hot spring in Tuscany—it gives my heart a little tug. And to think it all started with just a little fling.Their intimacy is just as perfect as everything else about them. There’s such a quiet joy in how they come together, completely in sync. And the ace/demi rep? Done beautifully.

We sway and sway some more, ignoring the sounds of those around us, just two lonely souls finding something unexpected among the Tuscan hills. Did I think I’d find love when I came to Tuscany for a wedding? No. But I did. Tate’s tender heart beats the same fragile tattoo as mine. When I finally pull away to look down at Tate, his eyes are red-rimmed, and his gaze is raw with want.
I brush my thumbs under his eyes. “No more tears.”
Tate smiles through the tears. “No more tears. Dance with me some more?”

I’ll definitely read anything Maya writes—I absolutely love her style and the way she makes me fall head over heels (and swoon my ass off) for every single MC she creates. 🙏

Snapshots by Hannah Henry - 3⭐MCs: Nash & Rory

Grumpy x Sunshine | brothers best friend| only one bed

Nash, a nervous grump, and Rory, a laid-back ray of sunshine, are the photographers at Olivia and Bailey’s wedding. This was sweet and cute, but the third-person POV made the voices blend together, and the story felt too short to connect deeply. Since they already knew each other and had a one-night stand a year ago, I expected more chemistry—but it didn’t quite click for me. Surprisingly, I felt more connection with the couples who were meeting for the first time.

It’s Italy, Not Love by J.J. Mulder - 4.5⭐MCs: Roman & Niilo

Strangers to lovers | Opposites attract | Road trip Italy

Roman, an American “Viking” and introvert, and Niilo, a Finnish twink and makeup enthusiast, also meet at the wedding. Roman is Olivia’s coworker and best friend, while Niilo—on a year-long gap road trip through Italy—is the wedding bartender. They are

Well, if this isn’t what dreams are made of, I don’t know what is. This was gorgeous—delicate and delicious, like a proper courtship. I’ve never read anything by J.J. Mulder before, but that’s definitely about to change. I loved the softness and the calm of the writing, all the emotion the author could fit in every sentenced,I didn't want it to end <3

Absolute perfection. Add in a road trip through some of the world’s most beautiful art and history, and bam—I’m so ready for this!
Believe it or not, this is actually a slow burn—they hit the road but sleep in separate rooms, and the build-up is so good. But then comes the tiny room… and the one tiny bed… and suddenly, Rome is on fire! The sensual tension, the light but eager touches—it was everything. And that twist in the dynamic? Absolutely did it for me.
I also loved all the places they visited, all the iconic beautiful spots. No shame in admitting I’m completely envious! 😄 It added so much to the romance for me. A week like that, exploring Italy with someone special? Absolute dream.

It wasn’t Italy, after all. Wasn’t the smell of lemons, or the bite of espresso; wasn’t the history or the art or the cobbled streets; soft mornings followed by busy days and sleepless nights.
No, the magic wasn’t in the location at all. It was us.

From Olivia and Bailey’s love, three beautiful new love stories blossomed—and I absolutely loved it! There’s something so heartwarming about seeing love inspire more love, and watching these couples find their own happy endings was such a joy.

These were such cute and heartwarming stories. I loved seeing all of these MCs have their adventures and discover love as it should be. I just wish they were all 100 pages longer. I wanted to pack up and move there to witness their love in the flesh😭

I loved them all equally and I’m so glad that these three authors decided to do this anthology 🥹🖤

I received a complimentary copy of this book but this is my honest and voluntary review 🖤

This was my first read in June and it was so sweet. It centered around one character’s wedding but each author wrote the viewpoint of a different couple.
Each character was so sweet. Tate & Sully from the first story by Maya Jean really stuck with me. I loved them both so much. This was a light, quick read and it’s just what I needed at the time.
If you love romance books with a lighter tone, amazing characters, and want to feel happy for a minute then I recommend this! It’s also the perfect book to read during the summer or on vacation bc the setting is TUSCANY and so cozy. ☀️

For the concept of this small antho I give the authors 5⭐️ for sure. The concept of three shorts all around different people at the same wedding finding love is awesome and I loved realizing all these shorts were connected. For the execution I’m going with 4⭐️ overall. If you’re looking for a sweet read about finding Love in Tuscany then I recommend!

Just a Fling by Maya Jean
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
This is my first time reading this author so not sure if it was the short or the writing itself but it was just ok. I gave it an extra half star just because of the fact the characters weren’t crazy into sex. I like to see that in romance books too! It was a little odd just cause of the title of the short I expected more but that was ok. Overall it was worth a try if you enjoy this author.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a cute short. I liked that the MCs already knew each other, kind of a second-chance with some miscommunication but I enjoyed seeing it all come together and I liked their chemistry. Would recommend.

It’s Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
This was my favourite short in this antho. It takes place over a couple weeks instead of a couple days and really explores Italy which I found super fun and I really want to go there now too! I would definitely try more by this author.

3,75 stars rounded up.

I always struggle with novellas, fid ghem usually too short.
Stories 1 and 2 were too short for me, I'd have loved to get more "meat": 3 stars
Story 3 was great, very atmospheric. Even though due to the short format we learn too little about the MCs, they feel like real people nevertheless: 4 stars.

Three stories centered around one wedding in a nice, posh villa in Tuscany.
1. The bride's brother meets the groom's best man. Very sweet and lovely, but for me, too short.
2. The two wedding photographers cobmvering the event. Again, really sweet and lovely, but they were very busy and had to leave very soon again. Not too much of Italian flair. Wozld have loved more.
3. Colleague of bride meets bartender, a Finn on work-travel following graduation. A bit unrealistic, but very atmospheric - not much time is spent on the wedding, but on their travels around Italy, well, actually mostly Firenze and Roma. They had little time and covered a lot. Slow burn, sort of, but really lovely.

Would have liked for the nain event and people (the bride and groom) to have a better connected role, sigh.

Really sweet trio of novella's! I loved this concept that each of them took place or surrounded the same wedding. It was a fun touch! Each of the couples were full of sweetness that I really enjoyed! Just wish we got a little epilogue for the second story but that's my only qualm.

"Be my date?"
"How many dates are we going to have?"
"As many as you'll give me"
Just a Fling by Maya Jean

I truly don’t know how Maya does it, but somehow, she always finds a way to make me cry. I’m not someone who tears up easily, but Just a Fling proved me beautifully wrong. It’s one of the novellas in this exquisite trio, and Maya’s piece wrapped itself around my heart like a soft, familiar melody.

There’s something about the way she writes, it’s peaceful, tender, and radiates warmth, like a golden summer evening in Tuscany. I’ve never been to Italy, but through her words, I felt as though I were standing right there, barefoot in a dusky Tuscan garden, surrounded by the scent of lavender and the quiet promise of something sacred. That’s her magic. She transports you.

And in this enchanted place, I met Tate and Sully.

Tate, my guarded, lovely Tate, was etched with the quiet fears left behind by a broken marriage. His hesitation, his reluctance to trust again… it all felt so real. So human. Trust is a sacred gift, and not everyone is worthy of it. Tate had built his walls high, willing to allow only a fleeting moment, a one week fling and nothing more. But love doesn’t follow rules. I’m beyond grateful it didn’t end the way he planned. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been able to walk away either.

Then there’s Sully, my sweet, tender Sully. The name suits him perfectly. Gentle, shy, and quietly luminous, he was a balm to every wound Tate carried. His backstory broke my heart, but the way he found home in Tate? Absolutely breathtaking. There was a certain stillness in him, like moonlight on water, and I felt myself falling for him too.

Every word of this novella felt like stardust. Despite its brevity, it left a massive imprint on my soul. Maya has this uncanny ability to make me believe, in love, in second chances, in the kind of connection that defies time and circumstance. I felt the same way reading her Sweet Southern Series, she has a way of writing that revives the romantic in me, entirely and without apology.

If you’ve never read anything by Maya before, this is the perfect introduction. Her storytelling is a gentle whisper to the heart, and these two beautiful men will live in mine for a very long time. Just a Fling may be short, but its magic lingers. I already can’t wait to read it all over again.

This three novellas are standalone, but the main event and the setting are the same: the MCs connect (or reconnect) during Bailey and Olivia's wedding in Tuscany

Just A Fling by Maya Jean - 5 stars
This novella was perfect! The settings, the main characters, the secondary ones, the plot, the sweet moments, the epilogue. I adored all of it!

Sully, football player, grown up in foster care, loyal friend, lonely and determined to have his own family, is a precious man and I adored him. I really really loved that, despite he was scared of the strong and sudden feelings he was having for Tate, he was also so very brave and asked him for more.
Tate was amazing too: he was afraid of not being a good partner because of his demanding job (cardiac surgeon) and because of his messy divorce, but at the same time he could not denied how cherished and loved Sully made him feel.
They found true love into each other's arms during a beautiful and romantic week in Tuscany and that will be just the beginning of their forever.

Snapshots by Hannah Henry - 4.5 stars
Rory and Nash are the photographers hired by Bailey and Olivia for their wedding. Nash and Sam are close friends and work together, but when Sam needs an urgent surgery, he sends his little brother Rory to work with Nash.
The problem is that the MCs spent a wonderful night together at Sam's wedding, but then drifted apart.
The first day is awkward: it's pretty clear that neither of them knows how to act around the other. Moreover, they still feel a strong attraction but they both think the other is not interested. A little accident with a camera will push them to open up and clarify things.

I adored their nights at the villa, when they were too tired to have physical intercourse but they still held each other close, whispering sweet words and touching one another lovingly.

What prevented me from giving five full stars:
I need to know more about their future together.

It's Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder - 4.5 stars
These authors are killing me with romance and swoony vibes! I adored Roman and Niilo's love story!
First of all, I have to say JJ Mulder was very accurate in the description of all the Italian places (cities, museums, archeological sites) she described. As an Italian myself, I really appreciated that the author avoided the usual stereotypes and did an actual research for all the places she mentioned.

Roman is Olivia's colleague and Niilo is the bartender at the wedding. They hit off immediately and Roman asks Niilo to accompany him during his 2 weeks trip through Italy.
They have a wonderful connection, they talk, laugh and explore together; the settings is amazing and they share a lot of their lives while enjoying their trip.
Both of them are completely under each other's spell and so adorable. I loved that their trip was not an excuse for sex and that they actually wait until halfway on their vacation to start sleeping together. It was like they were courting and taking things easy.
Because both of them felt that their connection wasn't just a sexual arrangement, but something deeper they weren't ready to name. Their feelings were growing stronger but with Roman being American and Niilo Finnish, it seemed that fate was working against them.

What prevented me from giving five full stars:
I definitely needed more from the epilogue.

Wonderful anthology, I absolutely recommend it.

I received an ARC of this book from the authors and this is my honest review.

___________•___________

Okay this being the first anthology I’m doing an ARC on I’m gonna do it a little differently than Im used to it’s gonna be small mini review’s for each story sorry for the small reviews but I want to give space to all of them

First up
Just A Fling by Maya Jean

Sooo sweeeet!

Sully is the best man at his friends wedding and a football player who is about to retire he is sweet and kind and ready to start a family. Tate is that his sister’s wedding still nursing his broken heart after his dick of a husband cheated on him because of his supposed long hours at work he’s hesitant to start something new so maybe it being just a fling is just what he needed. Oh is it?

Just a thing is such a sweet little story about finding love again after being broken by another Sully and Tate fits just right together and even though we didn’t get to see so much I wish them a happy ever after

It’s beautiful writing and a beautiful story mixed together as always maya Jean shoots an arrow straight into my heart with all this beautifulness

Rating: 4/5
Spice: 2/5
Angst: 1/5
Would I read again: yes

Second up
Snapshot by Hannah Henry

Yes! second chances is the best!

Rory and Nash is photographers and they have come to the wedding in Italy to take a lot of pictures of the wedding. Rory is Sam’s little brother Nash’s best friend and business partner one year ago Sparks flew between them but due to miscommunication time went and now they need to work together and maybe rekindle their lost flame

Rory and Nash is such a sweet pair it’s so sad that they lost connection due to a small miscommunication but honestly, who reads the little notebook at hotels

It’s the first work I have ever read by Hannah and I am quite impressed with her writing and I will definitely continue to look into her stuff

Rating: 3.5/5
Spice: 2/5
Angst: 1/5
Would I read again: yes

Last but not least
Its Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder

It’s Italy not love is probably my favourite story in this anthology I don’t know why but I just knew I loved it from the very start. I was like damn this one’s a five star for sure.

Niilo is a bartender who travels around and it’s not quite ready to settle yet while Roman is kind of a homebody who uses all of his time to work and watch documentaries they sound like a weird match but they so good for each other

I really like the story and the confident that Niilo had just going on a road trip with a practically stranger and Roman for having the courage to just ask a stranger if they want to go on a road trip with them after one date but seriously it is to are so sweet together i definitely recommend

Rating: 5/5
Spice: 2/5
Angst: 1/5
Would I read again: yesss

The hole anthology together is such a sweet low angst free read with heartwarming stories of love. I really liked reading the story and I hope you do too. There’s a lot of different tropes in each different story, but I hope you will like it anyway
but remember to form your own opinions and not just listen to me
Until next time, my loves…

I usually am wary with anthologies/novella length stories just because I always want more so I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed these! These three authors are definitely on my always recommend list, so it makes sense that if anyone was going to get me to engage in an anthology, it would be them.

Just A Fling - Maya Jean
-40 year old MC YES PLEASE.
- This is a story about finding love after being cheated on. Maya Jean always does "finding love again" so well. There's always a bit of caution from her characters but ultimately they are so soft hearted they can't help but risk it. Tate was feeling all the emotions at his sisters wedding and then you give him lovely and full of understanding Sully???
- There was real worry from both Sully and Nate that, ahem, it was just a fling, and how they could work in the real world, but their was genuine compromise on both ends.
- Sully was truly such a sure thing that Tate didn't need to be scared wit him which was so deserved after feeling like a burden

Snapshots by Hannah Henry
- best friends brother omg omg
- I love a good miscommunication for something that doesn't exist. For both Rory and Nash, they held a little bit of a grudge against each other but as soon as they found out where they went wrong, they were so quick to indulge in each other
- Forced proximity, only one bed!!
- This was kind of second chance, and I loved how quickly the "what will my brother think!" part of the best friends brother was squashed because Sam was all in.

It's Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder
- size difference and not conforming to the positions they "look" like they should have!!! yes pls!
- I loved how endeared Roman was by Niilo was. He was constantly impressed and in awe, which Niilo so deserved!
- I liked how Roman got less awkward when it was just him and Niilo. The moment they meet at the bar is so different to how they are at the end of their 2 weeks!
- I felt like these two had love at first sight for real!

Anyway, these were all very cute reads!

Love in Tuscany is a lovely anthology with three very different couples finding love at the destination wedding of Olivia and Bailey. The wedding couple is delightful and they set the tone for a sweet, low angst celebration of love and commitment.
Maya Jean kicks things off with Just a Fling. Divorced cardiac surgeon and brother of the bride Tate isn’t looking for love. But he finds a surprising connection with Sully, teammate to his soon-to-be brother-in-law. Both have had their share of heartbreak so I loved their sun-drenched escapades as they slowly open up their heats to each other.
The minute Tate starts feeling protective of Sully, you know they’re kidding themselves about their “what happens in Tuscany, stays in Tuscany” agreement. And I loved the epilogue!
Hannah Henry charms with Snapshot, a best friend’s little brother/second chance story. Nash and his business partner Sam were set to photograph the wedding when an unexpected medical crisis has Sam’s little brother Rory stepping in to help. Their time together is limited, so I loved the way these two communicated and quickly cleared the air about what happened at Sam’s wedding. Between jet lag and the exhaustion of working a wedding, Nash and Rory had off the charts emotional intimacy even if they were too tired for anything else.
I’m familiar with Hannah’s hockey books, so this was an unexpected treat!
It’s Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder was a lemon-scented love letter to Italy featuring Olivia’s work friend, socially awkward Viking Roman and free spirited, fun-sized Finnish bartender Niilo. After the wedding they impulsively head on a road trip and fall in love despite their intentions of keeping things simple. As they slowly realize their feelings among the backdrop of ancient ruins, sharing so much of their lives in meaningful conversations- they can’t deny they’re each other soulmate. I loved how Niilo and Roman accepted and supported each other. The wooing was super strong in this one!
All three stories are so good! Each novella is a swoony summer love story that will have you smiling.

Just a Fling by Maya Jean
This was a sweet, sun-soaked romance that made me feel all cozy and content. Tate and Sully have had difficulties in their lives; they’ve been hurt. Yet when they meet, it’s insta-comfort. Yes, there is attraction for sure, but it’s the ease they feel in each other’s presence that really matters. They decide to have a fling during their week in Tuscany. But when you finally find someone who makes you feel happy, comfortable, and safe, is ‘just a fling’ even possible? I loved this story so much. Maya’s writing was absolutely beautiful, as usual.

Snapshots by Hannah Henry
I loved how this story is connected to the first story. Both stories take place at the same wedding. It’s a great premise! In this story, Sam and Nash are supposed to photograph a wedding in Tuscany. Unfortunately, Sam gets sick and his brother Rory fills in. Also unfortunately, things are awkward due to a one night stand between Nash and Rory a year prior and some hurt feelings. Thankfully, the only one bed and dreamy romantic setting work their magic, and the guys are able to figure things out. A fun story from a new-to-me author - though I’ll be catching up on her backlist!

It’s Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder
This story was also loosely connected to the others, featuring the same wedding. In the story, Roman is a wedding guest and meets bartender Niilo. They hit it off and agree to a date the following night, during which they agree to undertake a two week road trip together. Inadvisable in real life, but absolutely amazing in the lovely world of fiction! Another only one bed incident (darn!) and a whole lot of fun later, they question if their feelings are genuine or just the magic of Italy. Spoiler: it wasn’t just Italy. I adored the banter and fun they have, and Niilo’s aesthetic.

I could see each of these being expanded into full length books - and I’d read every one!

Just a Fling
Well, I wasn't expecting a 6-chapter short story to make me cry, but here we are. This was the sweetest! Tate and Sully were perfect for one another. Both of them were a little sad and very lonely when they met, but quickly hit it off and found something special together. With a backdrop of a family wedding in Tuscany, the setting and atmosphere added an extra level of romance to this sweet story. And the look into the future during the epilogue warmed my heart!

Snapshots
I hadn't realized all three stories revolved around the same wedding, but it was fun to revisit it from a different perspective! This time from the POV of the wedding photographers, Nash and Rory. These guys had a one-night stand the night of Rory's brother's (and Nash's best friend/business partner) wedding, but a miscommunication the next morning left them feeling like one night was all it would be. Paired up to take wedding photos in Italy when Rory's brother can't make it, these guys finally figure out their situation and decide to give it a go. The story was sweet, and I liked seeing them realize they actually both liked each other and wanted to be together.

It's Italy, Not Love
If you wondered about the bartender flirting with the guy mentioned in Snapshots, well, you’re in luck. Roman is in Italy attending his co-worker’s wedding and meets flirty bartender Niilo. The two hit it off and embark on a 2-week tour of Italy and, in the process, fall in love. Roman and Niilo were so cute together. I loved following their adventures and seeing Roman’s unbridled wonder at all the sights they were seeing. Roman taking a million photographs was adorable and so relatable. I loved how it wrapped up, too. There was a line in the second-to-last chapter that took my breath away. So romantic!

Picture it.... A beautiful vineyard estate in Tuscany is the setting of a lovely wedding and the start of three love stories!

TLDR: Y'all, I squee'd and kicked my heels through all three of these stories. <3 All sweet, cozy, low angst delights.

Just a Fling by Maya Jean
Tate, the half-bro of the bride, building his life back up after a self esteem crushing divorce/break up meets Sully, the groom's best man, looking for connection and a sense of 'home'. Y'all, I dare you to meet Sully and not instantly fall in love with his liquid sunshine, gentle cuddly giant being?!

Snapshots by Hannah Henry
Nash, is one half of the wedding photography team, when his partner has a medical emergency so sends his bro, Rory in his place... only Nash and Rory had a one night stand years ago and have been mutually pining thinking the other has regrets. Will forced proximity and the love in the air get them to confess their feelings? I found their mutual pining/inner monologues to be pitch perfect. They both feel vulnerable and a little awkward about their 'ons' but they also really see each other! It was just sooo sweet.

It’s Italy, Not Love by J.J. Mulder
Roman, the bride's WFH work bestie, awkwardly (but bravely!) attends a wedding where he knows no one -- experiences an instant connection with Niilo, a handsome Finnish bartender on a gap year. Post wedding Roman invites Niilo to join him on his Italian road trip vacay, they see the sights, they eat the foods, the feel the feels! Very 'Roman Holiday' vibes but queer and stonkin' adorable!

Love in Tuscany is an anthology of three lightly interconnected stories with proceeds to charity!

Love in Tuscany – A Wholesome Kickoff to Pride Month

I’m such a huge fan of anthologies and interconnected stories, and Love in Tuscany delivered that cozy charm I adore. While the characters weren’t deeply intertwined, I really enjoyed watching three separate romances blossom, all within the same dreamy Tuscan setting. There’s something so satisfying about seeing different love stories unfold.

The setting was absolutely gorgeous. I felt completely transported to Italy—almost like I did with The Pairing by C.M.Q. when I journeyed on a food and wine tour across Europe. I could feel the sun on my skin, taste the wine, and practically twirl the pasta on my fork. The descriptions were vivid, bringing Tuscany to life in such a sensory way.

I’ve already read three of JJ Mulder’s hockey romances, but this was my first time reading Hannah Henry and Maya Jean—and wow, their stories were adorable. Each one left me smiling, but I have to say, Sully and Tate completely stole my heart. Their story was just so sweet and wholesome. Don’t get me wrong—I enjoyed Rory and Nash (I’m a sucker for a good second-chance romance) and Niilo and Roman were great too—but I could easily read a full-length novel about Sully and Tate, especially after that epilogue. Some fun tropes to look forward to: bride’s brother x groom’s best man, wedding guest x waiter, pining photographers on assignment… and yes, the iconic “only one bed” makes more than one appearance.

This was a short, sweet, feel-good read—a perfect, heartwarming start to Pride Month. If you love anthologies or stories like Love Actually or Valentine’s Day, where multiple romances unfold in the same world, definitely check this one out.

Also, if you’ve got recs for movies or books with a similar vibe, I’m all ears!

Just a Fling - Maya Jean

When Maya Jean’s name pops up, I just know I have to read it. No questions asked.

Sully and Tate were just the cutest as any. Purple can be. Sully made Tate see the light again and I was here for their sweet adventure to finding love again when Tate comes to his sister’s wedding and who know her fiancé’s best man would be Sully.

Loved the ending when Sully jumped in the tub fully clothed. What a way to end this perfect book.

Snapshots - Hannah Henry

Rory and Nash have liked each other for a while. They kind of had a one night stand but there was a misunderstanding when they drifted apart. Heck, who reads little notes that hotels provide? Man, when they reconnected, it was bittersweet. And they were both nervous for Sam’s reaction, but it went better than they expected.

This was super cute and I was here for their sweet adventure cuddling and the sleepy nights and Rory’s helpfulness in photography for the wedding. Super sweet!

It’s Italy, Not Love - JJ Mulder

Roman and Niilo were so cute from the moment they met at Olivia’s wedding. I laughed how Niilo was just shocked he was going on a road trip with a complete stranger but then saw how “hot” he was.

In a way, this was a way of magic meets date and it was so beautiful how we got to see the beauty of airway through their eyes. I loved how they got to know each other through their journey and it wasn’t just a sexual encounter from these two. I need so much more.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

These are three of my favorite authors so I knew I would adore this anthology! I loved all three stories and loved how they were all connected. They all attended or worked at the same wedding in Tuscany, so we were able to see a bit of how their stories intertwined, but overall they had their own moments.

Even though they take place at the same place and for the same original event, all three stories were vastly different and refreshing!

Just a Fling by Maya Jean is a bride's brother x groom's best friend romance. What starts out as basic chemistry, their time together before and during the wedding is unforgettable, and much more than a fling.

Snapshots by Hannah Henry is a best friend's brother romance, with a hint of a second chance from a one night stand (and what could've been). Paired together to photograph the wedding (when the brother has to back out due to medical issues), they're thrown together and have to make it work, which means actually communicating about that night.

It's Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder is a guest x bartender romance with some insta-interest, that has them traveling across Italy for a couple weeks together. They get to see all the sights and learn more about each other slowly, before giving into the chemistry when they're stuck with only one bed.

All three of the stories were great and I loved the couples and each character individually! Even better - this is a charity anthology, so not only do you get a great read, you get to support a great cause (Trans Lifeline).

Thank you to the authors for the ARC.

Just a Fling-
“I’ve never been someone who has a “type”, but I think if u did, it would be someone exactly like sully.”

This was really cute, I loved how there was little to no angst and how they just meshed together perfectly. I loved how Tate’s sister was all for her wedding being used to bring her brother and Sully together.

Sully was a sweetie, he fell so quickly it was adorable. Everything about him was adorable really.

Tate was down on his luck but still didn’t let that take away from having a fling, or when things progressed taking his chance on love once more. He let himself fall even after being scorned.

Just a sweet little romance, I need more of.

🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

Snapshot-
“This would all be easier if Nash could look at Rory and not think about what their own wedding would have been like.”

Nash and Rory were adorable. I loved how they had a past, that they knew each other intimately before but with a tiny bit of miscommunication, and a done well bit of miscommunication, they had let each other go.

I loved how they were thrown into the situation to photograph the wedding together, with Nash’s original business partner and Rory’s brother falling ill.

Nash was a grump but the really sweet kind and Rory was a bumble of sweetness. They matched together perfectly.

A sweet rekindling, second chance romance that I could have binged a lot more of.

🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

It’s Italy, not Love-
“It takes a lot to put an Italian sunset to shame, but he’s managing just fine.”

Niilo and Roman are adorable.

I love how Niilo is the perfect twink character with Roman more as the big beefy bear. But when it comes to tops and bottoms it’s not the way around you would think 😉

I loved their size difference and their grumpy sunshine mix. They were complete polar opposites to one another yet they fit together perfectly.

I loved how Roman didn’t even really want to be at the wedding, and he didn’t want to be around people. But the second Niilo comes along suddenly he doesn’t like being alone anymore but only Niilo’s company is good.

Honestly so cute.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I love how all three stories centred around the same event, they were all in Italy for a wedding, and somehow all managed to find their own love.

A really sweet charity anthology and I loved every story in here.

Charming anthology surrounding Bailey and Olivia's wedding in Tuscany. I absolutely love that Olivia is the anti-thesis of the Bridezilla that seems to occupy books lately.

Just a Fling by Maya Jean

Sully, Bailey's best friend, and Tate, Olivia's brother, decide to hook up for the week leading up to the wedding. Oh, how a hook up can lead to so much more.

Snapshots by Hannah Henry

Sam and Nash are hired by Bailey and Olivia to photograph their wedding. Sam requires emergency surgery and sends his brother Rory in his place. Rory and Nash aren't really talking. They hooked up at Sam's wedding the previous summer. When Nash woke up alone, he was pissed. When Nash never contacted Rory, he thought Nash ghosted him and he was pissed. All it took was one little conversation and the mandatory only one bed to get them back on track.

It's Italy, Not Love by J J Mulder

Roman is Olivia's co-worker and the only person he knows at the wedding, and this is the first they have met in person. Roman hits it off with a very competent and cute bartender. Since Roman has a hundred hours of personal time, his boss required him to take two weeks off. Niilo is taking a gap year traveling throughout Europe. Although Niilo has already seen a lot of Italy, he happily tours it again with Roman and even plans to visit Roman in Seattle. I do wish there had been an epilogue,

I love the concept for this anthology! It's three short stories by different authors, but they all begin at the same wedding in Italy. They each have very different speeds to falling in love. The first is the most instalove, an instant connection that leads toward a future. The second they've known each other for years and are only not figuring things out. The third is a two-week holiday fling that grows into something more.

Just a Fling by Maya Jean - 3.5 stars
This one was super cute, though I never really felt like their hangups represented true obstacles. One was recently divorced, with a cheating ex, the other a football player raised in the foster system. The epilogue was my favorite part.

Snapshots by Hannah Henry - 4 stars
We've got photographers, best friend's little brother, second-chance romance. I definitely felt their chemistry in this one, and I really liked the author's style. Clean, as far as edits go. It was missing a couple things for me, like

It's Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder - 4 stars
This story brought an unlikely pair together, but in this case, opposites attract. Different countries, background, income brackets, size, but they worked! I did find the extensive description of art, architecture, and tourist destinations as a bit much for me personally, when I would've preferred to spend that time with the characters themselves, but it was certainly a vivid picture of the setting.

I loved every word❤️

Thank you for the book, here is my honest opinion:
A fun and clever premise, three lovely novellas springing from the same destination wedding in Tuscany. In Just a Fling by Maya Jean, disillusioned divorced doctor, Tate finds a reason to try love again with about the sweetest NFL player you could ever imagine. Tate and Sully are crazy romantic together, this was a truly charming story. Just the right mix of age gap, hurt comfort, and sizzling chemistry- loved it! Next is Hannah Henry with Snapshots, a sweet second chance best friend’s brother romance. Nash and Rory are the photographers for Olivia and Bailey’s Tuscan wedding, Rory filling in for his brother Sam. These two are cute together and I loved how light the author keeps their story. Sam’s reaction was also a highlight. This was a delight! Finally, there’s Roman, the bride’s coworker and the charming Finnish bartender, Niilo in It’s Italy, Not Love by JJ Mulder. Phew, this one was super swoony and absolutely stunning with the Tuscan backdrop. This really felt like watching two people fall in love - simple, charming, loveliness! One of the best times I’ve had with a story in a while!

6 characters, one wedding venue, 3 different stories starting in Tuscany.

Just a Fling by Maya Jean

Divorced MC
Age gap (10 years)
Soulmates

This had insta lust/love trope which isn't my favourite but I kinda liked it. They had soulmates sort of energy and I was totally digging that. It was cute.

Snapshots by Hannah Henry

Best friend's brother
Second chance
Forced Proximity (also one bed)

If you are more of a practical person rather than a hopeless romantic one, this one will make the most sense. They have history together and there was some pretty funny miscommunication but all ended well. Also best in terms of spice 🌶️

It's Italy, not love by JJ Mulder

Road trip
Size difference
Insta attraction but slow burn

JJ Mulder was why I picked up this anthology. And she never misses. I love the vibe and this story was expanded over 2 weeks of traveling and exploring Italy together. Perfection. I personally love how all her characters are diverse and how tries to include different types of sexual experiences for her characters.

Tate • Sullivan (Just A Fling)

….

Maya makes me believe in the good whenever I read a book written by this author. I am reminded about the delicacy of human emotion and what’s best in humans. What’s natural and effortless.

….

“How about a little fling?” // “I lift my hand to my lips, wondering if I press hard enough, could I carry the memory of his mouth on mine with me through the night.” // “…it’s to the whispered thought that I wish time would freeze, caught in a snow globe to relive for eternity.” // “Be my date, tonight?” // “I’ve finally found a home to call my own, and it’s not a place but a person.” …

….

Nash • Rory (Snapshots)

….

The feeling when you know - it’s him all along.

….

“They needed a break from each other so Nash could do something other than think about Rory’s eyelashes.” // “Rory wore his heart on his sleeve…” // “Rory had a lightness to him that Nash had never been able to access in himself. Nash was rigid layers of armor, while Rory was cotton candy.” // “He hoped he would find himself back here with Rory…”

….

Roman • Niilo (It’s Italy, Not Love.)

….

<3.

….

“This is what fun in Italy looks like for me—silence and solitude and a beautiful view.” // “I’m just a simple Viking, Niilo…” // “If that man makes another comment about your biceps, I’m pushing him off this ledge…” // “There’s nothing quite like introducing something magnificent to someone else, and getting to watch the magic light up their eyes.” // “I spend a long time, and not nearly long enough, painting my feelings across his skin.” // “No, the magic wasn’t in the location at all. It was us.”

….

This charity anthology made me yearn for Italy even more <3. The three stories are interconnected with one event happening in this book, which made this a perfect idea, to see different people and their individual stories.

These short stories brought hope. And this charity anthology supports a cause that needs resources, support and hope for better, I believe in better.

….

*I reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

LOVE IN TUSCANY is an MM romance charity anthology, and it has three interconnected standalone stories by @mayajeanwrites , @hannahhenrybooks , and @authorjjmulder .

✨JUST A FLING: Maya Jean.✨
—I adored this story. Tate was such a great character, he’s divorced and in Italy for his sister’s wedding. Even though he’s dealing with his own heartbreak, he’s determined to be there for his sister.
And then there’s Sully. 😍 Love him!!! He’s the best man and he’s immediately attracted to Tate and wants to spend time with him. He’s such a big softie and says “just a fling” is fine with him, but you know how THAT goes! 🤣
Watching these two get close? 🥹🥹 I ate them up!

✨SNAPSHOTS: Hannah Henry✨
—As someone who loves photography (even though I’m not very good at it), I really enjoyed this one! Nash is the wedding photographer for the same wedding, but his business partner, Sam, is unable to come with, so he has to work with Rory, Sam’s little brother. They had one night together at Sam’s wedding, but it didn’t end well.
I loved watching these two deal with being forced to work so closely together, while still obviously having feelings for the other. So cute! Eventually when things were finally being communicated? 🔥🔥 Love!

✨IT’S ITALY, NOT LOVE: JJ Mulder✨
—Roman comes to the wedding of his coworker and decides to make it into a vacation to see the sites of Italy. He ends up meeting this cuuuuute bartender who makes him feel seen.
Niilo. Ugh. He’s so carefree and sweet. When he ends up joining Roman on his trip around Italy, sparks start flying.
These two!! I am obsessed with Roman. That man! He’s such a kind hearted man and the way he looks at and feels about Niilo? 🥹🥹 And the two of them together were absolutely adorable and sweet and beautiful. I could read a full length novel of their story, they were just so compatible and perfect for each other. 🥰
