"Fur and Fang Fun!

Small backstory:

Saltwater Junction in Northern California is preparing for an invasion of vampires and werewolves as every year on the night of the full moon there is a feasting feeding frenzy that takes place and the town sheriff along with the town has to endure an all night onslaught of dead bodies and blood!

That is about all I can hand out on a small backstory without giving away spoilers so if you want to know more then go read this short story!

Thoughts:

First time reading this author and it won't be my last! This story jumps right into some action and stays on a fast pace throughout the book. Even though it is a short story it packs quite a bit of a punch. There is lots of blood and gore packed within these pages that kept me reading quickly.

There is also two more short stories within this book that were also good but this story about the vampires were the highlight of the book. Looking forward to reading more books by this author in the future as I have a few more that I own by him simmering on my kindle. Giving this book four "Bloody Feeding Frenzy" stars!

I thoroughly enjoyed both short stories. I found this book in my local used book store had never heard of this author and thought I'd take a go at him. Well it paid off. The First story is set in the west and has vampires and lots of gore and the other is a great tale about a vampire and his need to give on Christmas.

Three great things in one story.

It’s a supernatural western setting.

There are vampires that hunt by day.

And werewolves that shift at sunrise.

All of these combined to make one rollicking bloody read.

Saltwater Junction, Northern California.

The night of the full moon.

Tomorrow they come. Like they do once every year.

The sheriff gathers the town folk and they get the town ready for the morning.

The werewolves will attack at dawn.

The vampires soon after.

This year will be different.

This year they will win.

No more men lost to the werewolves.

No more women and children bled out by the vampires.

If…. If the people do what the sheriff says. If they stand and fight. If…

I loved this idea. Instead of the moon and darkness being these monsters strengths, it’s sunrise and daylight.

You’d think it would be easier for the people to fight them, easier to survive.

Not so. The werewolves are numerous, mindless, feeding machines. The vampires are cunning, swift, and organized.

Right from the opening scene when the sheriff had a shootout with the Lizard brothers, I knew I was in for something different.

I’d love to see this as a movie. I almost could as the author did an excellent job describing the scenes and characters. My wish is he’d write more about this town and it’s characters. It ended too soon for me.

Think you know all about vampires and werewolves, think again.

The sheriff met the Lizard brothers on the street at high noon. He had no fear. He is faster and has won all the duels so far, but tomorrow would be different.

Living on the coast of California was a brutal life. The remaining residents, survivors of battles fought, were preparing for the ultimate showdown. The first full moon in June would test the heroic sheriff when the bloodthirsty and savage monsters Need To Feed brought them to Saltwater Junction.

I love the original and fresh look at vampires and werewolves. The attacks are brutal and nothing is held back.

I felt like I was there, shooting vampires, watching heads explode and blood and guts spatter, wondering who would be left standing.
