I was given this book by the author for an honest review-
I read a previous book of hers and loved it so I knew this would be a winner too.
As a child Krista remembers moving from safe house to safe house as her parents were government assassins. All she ever wanted was a birthday party - a big deal as she was turning 18. Finally they agreed but what a mistake as that night her parents were killed. She quickly hides in their safe room till she can escape to another home. The killers are ripping the home up looking for a microchip her parents had- she has no idea where that would be. Oliver sends a message he will help her but can she trust him? Grab this book for an adventure of a strong girl finding a life she never knew!

K. C. Mitchell’s new thriller will truly capture you with suspense and anticipation!! When I first opened The Last Safehouse, I was only going to read the Preface to get a feel of the story - but I was so intrigued and “pulled in” that I had to read the whole Preface and the 1st chapter. I was packing for a trip, and I couldn’t wait to get back to it!!
The story begins when Krista, who has just turned 18, realizes with horror that her parents have been gruesomely murdered downstairs. She witnesses this on a security camera and knew immediately that she must move to her safehouse as her parents had instructed her to do! The Last Safehouse was one of the most captivating books I have ever read! At times when I was reading – I felt my heart racing! 😊
I loved the way Mitchell alternated the story and point of view between characters, and also the way she ended the chapters with a twist that made you want more! The story is rich with character development and numerous plot twists that converged throughout the book. It was like experiencing a “Mission Impossible” movie with intriguing plots that keeps you guessing. I gave it a 5-star rating because it hooked me from its opening pages and never let go. The Last Safehouse delivered everything I look for in an epic thriller – a sprawling storyline, characters who you care about, and a mystery that keeps you invested. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the romance and tension between Krista and her protector - Oliver, a very handsome former Navy SEAL!
Overall, Mitchell’s book left me moved and eager to share it with others. It is a must-read for anyone who loves mysteries, plot-twists, and thrillers. I have enjoyed all of K. C. Mitchell’s books but this one is the most gripping and enthralling. This story will stay with me a long time – the ending was satisfying and wrapped up nicely in the Epilogue. However, I would love to see Mitchell write a sequel that will follow Krista in her next adventure!!
Side note: K.C. Mitchell always adds her words of wisdom in her book that I appreciate and need – “His commandments aren’t there to deny us pleasure but to protect us from the weight of disobedience.”

Absolutely Obsessed!!! From the first page I was hooked immediately!!!
She suffers a traumatic event on her birthday and things no longer make sense to her. She can’t trust anyone, she is all alone trying to make sense of it all while grieving.
She meets him. He’s know her parents for many years but didn’t even know about her. He is there to help keep her safe, find the truth and avenge her parents.
Everything that has happened to Krista helps her grow into the incredible young woman she was always meant to be. But does she find love, the truth, the reasons why she lost everything in the first place? Does she get her happily ever after?? You have to read and find out!!
This Book is jaw dropping, edge of your seat, detailed, sucks you in, the love, the pain, the emotional roller coaster. It’s everything needed in a book!! I am BEYOND OBSESSED!!

Let me start by saying that K.C. Mitchell knows how to write a well-told story. So far, she has never disappointed and seems to always knock it out of the ballpark. The Last Safehouse doesn't break that trend.
Krista has lived a very sheltered, protected life. She is home schooled, world traveled, and well-educated to the point where she can speak many languages. She really has no friends as she has been kept isolated by her parents all her life.
She wants a birthday party for her 18th as she has never had one. She wants to invite a few students she met while attending Krav Maga classes as they are the only people she knows that are also her age. It was a day she will never forget as it changes her life dramatically and makes her realize she knew absolutely nothing about her parents outside of the immediate family dynamics.
Now Krista is fighting for her life, not knowing who to trust. She must try to discover what was really going on with her parents. Can she trust the new man who has entered her life, Oliver, or is he another person out to harm her? This book is an edge-of-your-seat read that will keep you up reading late into the night to see where it goes, what it is all about and where it will all end. I highly recommend this book and I'm sure you will not be disappointed!

I give this book more than 5 stars! It had me hooked from the beginning to the end.
We have our FMC Krista, who just turned 18, and lost her parents and everything she knew all on her bday. Her parents were part of a super secret government agency and Krista knew very little about their jobs. They let her a secret and kept her safe her entire life, they taught her how to protect herself and what to do in case something happened to them.
She is a fierce to be reckoned with even at her young age, her parents did well to prepare her as best as they cld. When The Firm found out about her, they needed to find information and also to keep her safe, that’s when she meets Oliver and although it took her awhile to trust him, he was her safe space. While she was on the run from the people who murdered her parents, Oliver made sure she was safe and protected.
Then so many things happen and the twists on this book will have you shocked!! It was so good.

My first romantic suspense book in my multi-genre writing career. I hope you'll find it intriguing and suspenseful and romantic as so many other viewers have.
Krista's partents are assassinated on her 18th birthday- that's how the story begins... she must figure out how to survive alone in the world. Or is she alone? The same group that killed her parents are after her for a microchip she has no idea exists. A lone man is chasing her and she doesn't know if she can trust him or not.
The mystery continues to escalate as the story continues, and so does the tension between her and Oliver, the one man who appears to have her best interest at heart.

This is an amazing book. FMC Krista who just turned 18, lost her parents and everything she knew on her birthday. Her parents were a part of a super secret government agency. They taught her how to protect herself and what to do in case something happened. She is a fierce, strong independent woman even at her young age. She wants to get revenge for her parents. An unexpected ally makes himself know but she doesn’t know who she can trust. This is an action packed, heartbreaking, and hopeful story. It has twists that you will not see coming. There is a beautiful faith element in the story but it’s not overpowering. 5 star read all day.
