This very interesting collection of three short stories was a great way to spend an hour. The first story, Get a Life, was about the frustration a young athlete that's more accurate than you might think. The second story, Trying it On at Monika Fang's was about a young woman given money by her boss to go out and get a fancy dress I wish this one was longer! I really want to know what happens next! Third and final story, Trapped in Cuckoo Land, was about a young woman who gets an amazing offer for a weekend away in Spain. I liked this one, I could definitely read a longer version on this one too.
Jinx James is very talented and to be able to flesh out characters and write a complete engaging story in a few words is proof of that.
No laughs, no smiles, this wasn’t dark humor. This was lacking humor. I guess if you find misogyny funny, it might be a little funny. And; claimed to be edited but plenty of misspells and typos throughout the stories.
