My darling gem of book. This has introduced me to the fun of HIIT workout and I fell head-over-heels in love with it. There are so many basic exercises which you can combine in innumerable ways to form challenging workouts. The Interval Timer app works great with this book. I started working out with the help of this book. And then I found Heather Robertson on YouTube. She's a goddess to give such great quality workouts for free. There are hundreds of them. I combine both the book and YouTube. That gives me tons of variety in exercises which I like. I do these workouts almost everyday.
I read some reviews saying that looking back and forth across the pages is difficult during a workout. What I do is that I do my reading and understanding before I start exercising. That way I won't waste time flipping pages. And most of the names and exercises are easy to remember too. I would recommend this book to all the humans and also aliens!

I made my own workout circuit using this book, and added dumbbell weights into some of them. The illustrations could be more informative- but YouTube helped me out where I couldn’t figure out what was going on.

I found it very weird that the workouts were at the beginning of the book and the actual descriptions/pictures of the exercises were at the back. Maybe it looked weird because I read this in ebook form and it's harder to thumb back and forth between the front and back of the book. I'm giving this 5 stars because the pictures and the descriptions of each movement were excellent.

Well, I haven't really read it all, I'm just trying the shortest, simples set, but I like it very much. I hope to use those exercises for a few months and then move to the next level. I cannot say at this time if it delivers on promises, but is not very complicated (I was totally unable to do only one of required warm-up exercises, and hope to attain ability to do it with the time).

I love and hate this book! Great images and explanation for each interval with suggestions for modifications. Hate how intense they got and how quickly but very effective and encouraging.

I may just have to purchase this book for myself so that I can easily refer to it and use it as a guide to build my workouts.

Sometimes health and fitness books can be so overwhelming and intimidating. One wants to quit reading as soon as one begins. Fitness/health moguls sometimes like to bombard their readers with too much information. This certainly was not the case, there was helpful information that was presented simply and effectively. Of course there were many recommendations for challenging workouts.

I especially like that the pictures were vivid and the information easy to understand.

While I liked the HIIT routines in this book, as well as the introductory section, there were some problems with the book's layout and content. Primarily, the book lacks information on how to integrate HIIT training into a full workout regimen that includes both weights and cardio (weighted exercise being essential for women in the prevention of osteoporosis). In addition, the "programs" laid out in the final section and comprised of a series of HIIT routines lack page reference numbers, so you are constantly looking them up in the appendix.

Well worth the money spent on this book

Very well organized material, with plenty of variety of routines and good pictures explaining the exercises. The only thing missing are the smaller pictures of the exercises along with the routine outlines. Because one should not have to stop the workout to go looking for the exercise pictures at the end of the book, while still learning the new routines. Nevertheless, it is well worth the money spent on this book!
