A good high-level introduction to how the gut works and its communication network with the brain and other organs. There is some good content on recent discoveries about the gut microbiome, which is another complex matter that scientists are still studying. I’ve learnt rather a lot from this little book with chunk sized topics by reading a page or two every morning. There’s some good guidance for lifestyle choices, some of which I’ve already made with following Zoe (Re: Tim Spector, Kings College London).
Scratches the surface of the science (and lack thereof) of the gut microbiome and everything that it impacts. Spoiler Alert: A lot! This is exactly and all that this book promises to do. An interesting entry point; I certainly want to learn more. I’m curious if Tim Spector or Zoe funded this in any way?
